The size of the rooms and location of the rental were good. This place needs a serious updating of couches that are too soft from age and wear, patio upholstered furniture that cannot be used because it is filthy, window blinds and shades that are filthy, musty smell and rust in one bathroom due to no working vent, mix-matched dishes, plus rusty and worn kitchen food prep items.

Close to the beach, peaceful, quiet

Great location for Labor Day weekend. The island was very busy but you wouldn’t know that at the house. Peaceful, quiet and close to the beach. Deer and birds frequently seen nearby. Nicely appointed, comfortable stay.

Wonderful stay at Chincoteague

The property is at a great location for bicycling to beaches, and also to island minigolf, restaurants and creamery. Clean property and has everything we need for our stay. Nice communications from property manager. We would like to stay there again!

We had a very good time at Beach Pines. We love Piney Island and its close proximity to Assateague, and being able to shower outdoors. We loved the big, well-furnished porch, where we spent most of our time. The kitchen was pretty well-equipped, but we always bring our own chef's knives and favorite kitchen equipment. We had some delicious dinners out on the dining table out on the porch. The grill was a bit of a disappointment. The grate didn't fit and we had to finish cooking that meal inside. The host may remedy this by next year, though. we stayed very late in the season. Even though we had a great time, our biggest problem was the internet connection. I contacted our host early on about this, and they had us reset the modem, which we did several times throughout our stay. This helped marginally. We kept getting dropped and then reconnected for a few minutes at a time. I didn't contact the host again about it, which perhaps I should've done, but I didn't want to be a pain. So. Maybe this is my fault for not being persistent. I wrote to them about the problem and hopefully that will be fixed by next season. We stayed in the master bedroom which is very spacious and bright and was a nice place to wake up in the morning. So the most important things to me were all there: a big screened porch with comfortable furniture, the outdoor shower, and a Piney Island location. It was a great place to get away and decompress.

Lovely beach cottage

We really enjoyed our week in Chincoteague island! House was very clean and in a quite neighborhood. Enjoyed riding our bikes thorough the neighborhood, 5 min car ride to the beach. Only didn’t expect that many mosquitoes.

Wonderful location! Comfortable Home!!

My sister and i stayed here to be close to orher families also staying on the island. The house is not fancy or exciting....however it was PERFECT for what we needed. Comfortable and had everything we needed. The location can not be BETTER! I would recommend it to anyone staying on Chincoteague!!

last vacation for this summer 2022

we had a great time! played games, everyone slept really well as the beds were super comfortable. definitely recommend. communication was at 100% with management, super quick responses! great weekend overall!

Great location on Chincoteague

The house is great, but its location is the true selling point, especially if you are looking to spend a lot of time at Assateague. The neighborhood -which has more tree shade than other parts of the island- is excellent for biking (very little traffic) and taking peaceful walks. The property itself is comfortable and well-equipped with everything you could need, including beach chairs. Both bathrooms and the outdoor shower had notably good water pressure.

Location

It was a great location with easy access to the island by bike and car. We loved it. The only issue is it needs a very deep cleaning. We were not happy with that.

Lovely House

The house was just right for our needs for myself, my daughter and my grandson. Nice quiet neighborhood feel and close to the park where we went at least once a day. We had not expected a rocket launch and I was able to see that from the front yard. I would stay there again or recommend it for families. Grandson used the crab traps and cooked the crabs he caught.

Outdated, but great location

The property could do with a better cleaning (spiders in the corners) & general maintenence updates (better mattresses and fix the screen doors). Location is right outside Chincoteague park with easy access bike trails and local restaurants. The property was a last minute choice, but wouldn't stay there again.

Great Customer Service

Super responsive. For example, the drip coffee maker didn't work and they had a new one delivered the same day! Great location, new mattresses, AC worked extremely well, great water pressure, nice screened in porch.

A tag dissappointed

Not clean, closets were terrible, crumbs on the sofa, shower curtain not clean, just dissappointed. Not worth the money I paid.

It accommodated our party of 8. Roomy enough for a lot of moving and sleeping bodies. Nice touches with WiFi and cable/streaming options for at night. Would like to have had a better grill option.

Beach Pines

The house is comfortable and in a perfect location close to a wonderful off-road paved bike path that leads to Assateague marshlands, woods, and the beach. It is also convenient to central Chincoteague, but on a quiet street. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the beds are comfortable. The screened porch in back was very pleasant in the evening (though it would have been nice to find the furniture clean.) I would not hesitate to rent this house again and would recommend it to others. It would be well suited to families. A few suggestions for the management company: A thorough cleaning beyond just vacuuming would be appropriate. There was, for example, a layer of black along the top of the bedroom blinds, and the edges of the bathroom floor were a little grimy. We needed assistance with a few items after arrival: getting into the shed, which turned out to be full of stuff, so not useable for bike storage, a bathroom drain that was stuck, and outside water that had not been turned on. The next day at noon Richard from the maintenance crew came to assist us with clearing space in the shed, going under the house to turn on the water, and going to the hardware store to get a temporary fix for the drain. (A cleaning person should surely have noticed that the drain was stuck and water could not clear from the sink.) Richard was very helpful, and we appreciated his assistance. Note to renters: Since check-in time is after 4:00, and the office closes at 5:00, try to take note of any difficulties immediately. Finally, though I am sure the management company must deal with a variety of renters, it should not be necessary to send multiple texts in addition to printed instructions regarding check-out procedures and the threatened fines connected with infractions. A somewhat more welcoming style of communication might get equally good results. With those suggestions, this rental served our needs very well, and we enjoyed our visit to Chincoteague.

Fantastic location for biking beachgoers and horse lovers

Our family of four (2 adults, 6 year old and 9 year old) plus grandparents had a wonderful time here for 2 weeks in July. The house is 2 quiet blocks from the off-road (but paved) bike path, so it was easy for our family to bike to the hiker/biker beach, which was beautiful and uncrowded, via the scenic wildlife loop, which is closed to cars most of the time and even when it's not, is very safe to walk or bike. And a corral of not-so-wild ponies is also 2 blocks away, so my daughters spent hours there feeding and petting the ponies. We brought our own bikes and rented a kayak for a week. The house was a great size for 4 adults and 2 kids with a nice screened in porch. We loved watching the deer, turtles, birds and frogs that wander through the property. We frequented the well-stocked grocery store 2 miles away and got takeout at some delicious seafood, sandwich, and pasta restaurants on the island, so we didn't go back to the mainland at all for the full 2 weeks. My only complaint is that like many properties around here, they don't provide toilet paper, soap, and other very basic supplies, which I find very annoying at this price point even though they do tell you ahead of time. Except for the Eastern shore, all the other VRBO and airbnbs I've ever stayed at provide these supplies (and linens for that matter).
