Ven a Tamarindo, Costa Rica y alójate en nuestro hermoso condominio que cuenta con impresionantes puestas de sol y maravillosas vistas de las playas de Tamarindo y Playa Grande. Puede relajarse en su propia terraza privada con parrilla de barbacoa, y que un conocido le pase una bebida fría del paso a través del bar de granito. Cocine algunas comidas maravillosas en su propia cocina totalmente equipada y los mercados locales están a minutos de distancia.

Todas las habitaciones tienen vistas al océano y el dormitorio principal tiene su propia terraza privada. Ambas habitaciones tienen colchones ortopédicos nuevos de tamaño queen.
El baño principal y el baño principal contienen grandes duchas de mármol y vidrio. Cada habitación también contiene unidades de aire acondicionado y ventiladores de techo.

El condominio es muy privado y tranquilo, ya que no tiene paredes comunes. Hay una gran zona de césped frente a la terraza privada, ideal para niños. El condominio está en una colina grande que ofrece excelentes vistas y algunos grandes paseos por la naturaleza.

Tenemos una hermosa piscina de forma libre de gran tamaño, que se limpia meticulosamente y generalmente es muy tranquila. El condominio tiene fácil acceso a los árboles de mango, papaya y plátano; También hay un grupo de monos aulladores que viven cerca.

Nuestro condominio es muy seguro con seguridad las 24 horas del día, los 7 días de la semana, y está ubicado en una comunidad cerrada con un amable guardia nocturno. Contamos con estacionamiento privado, Internet de alta velocidad (WiFi incluido), reproductor de DVD / Blu-ray, TV por cable y lavadora y secadora.

Disappointed

Frankly the place is dated and tired. We were surprised that the linens for the beds were worn and bath towels were old, frayed and stained. We reported bugs, sliding door lock was broken, a/c made an horrible noise and the safe was not working. The property manager sent out a repairman who fixed the a/c but stated the slider needed to be replaced and thought the safe was a battery issue but upon further inspection it was determined it just wasn’t working. The Pool area was subpar. The loungers were worn and some of which were broken. We experienced an ant situation at the pool.

We Enjoyed Our Stay

We liked this place. A little bit dated but comfortable. We noticed that other units online in the same complex that were updated were more expensive so this was just fine with us. Pool was excellent and a lot of time we had it to ourselves. This and area around complex was well maintained. It is a gated complex. A few have complained about the hill and indeed it is good workout in the heat but very nice to jump in pool after. Close to downtown area and beach. Beds were good. A/C kept us cool. Kitchen had just about everything needed. Nice to sit on patio as well as it was shielded from most of the sun by some bushes unlike many of the upper units where you could not sit during the day. All in all we were happy with our stay. Kim was very responsive and great to deal with if we had questions. We recommend this property!

Beautiful View; Lots of problems

The view is gorgeous. The pool is fantastic and clean. The kitchen has older appliances, but is well equipped. The 3 AC units were effective. During the month long stay, we were told to reach the property manager via Whatsapp. We then found out that he wasn't checking Whatsapp and we were told this wasn't the best way to reach him (he was in the US, not Costa Rica). The Catamaran company he runs told us that the two companies are completely separate and they could not make any decisions about things requiring repairs without his approval, which often required long delays. The repairs required included: 1) AC unit in living room that dripped water and stopped working, 2) main toilet that ran continuously, 3) guest toilet that leaked and needed a complete replacement, 4) no hot water, 5) sliding glass door that would not close, 6) grill that doesn't work. 1-5 were eventually fixed. When the person fixed the first AC unit, it was found not only that the filters had not been cleaned in a very long time, but a nest of cockroaches had set up shop. When I asked for the other two AC units to be checked, they found the filters were similarly filthy, but these could not be cleaned until the property manager approved (which he never did). There is black mold above the dryer and possibly above the shower in the main bathroom. Getting up the hill to the condo is extremely difficult, at least in the rainy season. Finally, the cleaning crew, while kind, don't actually clean.

Wonderful location

Beautiful, clean Condo. Had everything we needed..great location. Close to beach, the strip, supermarket, dry safe and secure, pool was very clean, well maintained, staff were very helpful, would definitely stay here again.

Cozy hideaway on the hill

We really enjoyed our stay, the beautiful sunset views, the lush landscaping and uncrowded pool. The cleaning was extremely thorough and the place is well equipped with all you may need for your stay. Having a golf cart makes it a lot easier to get to and from the property since it’s up a steep hill. The condo is more outdated than would be expected from the pictures - there is a little water damage in the main bathroom. We also had two incidences of cockroaches showing up in the main bathroom - not unusual in Costa Rica climate but still not enjoyable ;) The management company was responsive and they were generous enough to let us stay late on our last day, which was huge for us! Overall, we really enjoyed it and would come back again!

Happy Travelers

We are a group of 4 mature adults and we stayed at this property for 3 weeks in February 2023. This property was everything we needed and more. The view alone was worth it. We spent many evenings on the balcony watching the spectacular sunsets over the ocean. The condo is equipped with everything you need for cooking your own meals, or like us, you can take advantage of the many restaurants within walking distance. With the exception of a few excursions, we walked everywhere and appreciated the exercise allowing us to enjoy eating whatever we wanted without the guilt. The hill up to the condo was a challenge at first, but we grew to enjoy the extra exercise especially after a fabulous meal. The grounds of the complex were very well maintained by management and is very quiet. We often had the pool to ourselves but also met some wonderful guests and locals living at Monte Perla. The management team at Marlin Del Rey were exceptional and always available to assist with all our needs. Mileni from the office was so kind and she even offered us her scooter to run up the hill to get something. We declined, but she always had a smile for us. Corresponding with Jeff was always easy, and he was helpful in arranging transportation to and from the airport. We can't say enough about our hosts, Kim and Ryan, who were always quick to respond to any queries and concerns. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful!

The condo was perfect for us. Very clean, quiet and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the view of the ocean and sitting on the patio every morning and evening. It was great. My only comment was walking back from town and up the hill to the condo. The hill is short but fairly steep and walking up in the heat can be an issue for some. We rented a small UTV for a couple days and that worked out great. Also gave us the ability to do some more exploring of Tamarindo.

Great vacation.

We loved our stay at Monte Perla. The view from the condo was great. We ate lots of meals on our patio overlooking the ocean. Yes there is about a 10 minute hike back up the hill but we enjoyed the exercise and always jumped in the pool to cool off when we returned.

VERY CLEAN, GREAT VIEW, CLOSE TO ALL THE ACTION, WONDERFUL STAY

The place is very roomy with 2 baths and 2 bedrooms. three A/C kept the place cool on the hottest days. Our daily routine included sitting on the patio, drinking wine and eating snacks and watching the sunsets, which were gorgeous. Kitchen is well equipped, we ate many meals there. only 13 or so units in the building, very quiet and peaceful. if you don't mind short walk to the beach, this the place for you. if you have a car as we did, you can easily drive down the hill and park and walk across the street to the beach and our favorite place to watch the sunset, volcano brewing Kim, the owner is a very good host, providing best restaurants and attractions by EM. I bothered her with many questions by e mail and she graciously always answered quickly and kindly, very nice host., we enjoyed our 11 days here. you won't regret it book it while you can

Disappointing!!!!

We can't begin to explain our disappointment in our vacation rental. The first thing that stood out was the odour upon entering....fans and air conditioning should have been running and condo ready for our arrival. Some furniture, curtain rods and lamps were broken and old and looked like they had been purchased at a lawn sale. The linens were tattered, holed or stained. Bathmat was ripped. We had to clean some of the pots and pans before using. There were tortilla chips and rice scattered on the shelf above the stove. Perhaps that's why we found 2 cockroaches and many big red ants which according to the manager, is normal for being on a ground floor unit. We kept all our food in the fridge or microwave to prevent further problems. The safe didn't work and we only discovered by reading a previous review that you need a 6 digit code, not a 3-6 digit code like it stated on the safe. Upon moving dresser to get something that fell behind, we discovered an old pair of underwear...thereby telling us that the cleaning service does not clean properly. Toilet in the master bedroom was terribly stained and it ran constantly. We fixed it ourselves as we did the patio sliding door lock. I did contact the manager twice in the first 2 days to have issues resolved and Dennis, a wonderful and helpful handyman came to fix what he could. But most of the issues with this condo cannot be addressed in a day or two. We were embarassed to have our friends come to stay. I could go on and on with various other things. There are a few positives....pool is nice and cleaned twice/day and the staff were friendly...it is a quiet area to relax but the hill is quite steep to walk from downtown/beach. We viewed another unit in the same building and the difference was like night and day!!! If this is how you prepare a rental unit for people's vacation, then you are not holding up your end of the agreement. We paid in good faith and found that the condo did not live up to our expectations after viewing the advertised photographs.

Vrbo condo in Tamarido was amazing

We enjoyed our stay in Tamarindo for our 10 days ,the view of the ocean was amazing ,we spent our afternoon in the pool ,we also enjoyed the facility of your condo ,the cute monkeys & the birds we saw daily .The condo was beautiful & air-conditioned was nice and cool for those hot days . We had a great time & would definitely go back but stay longer next time so we could see more of the beautiful country .It was enjoyable & relaxing all at the same time .The maid also came by every day but we did not need her but she was there which was nice & also the pool keeper was there cleaning the pool on a daily basis & everything was taking care of,that was nice to see very well kept .Thank you for a wonderful stay . We greatly enjoyed it .

Property was wonderful, management company horrible.

This property is a great find for those who want to be a little removed from the hustle and bustle of downtown Tamarindo, and don't mind a jaunt up a semi-steep hill to return. The groundskeeper was extremely friendly. He also serves as the security manager, though we did not know that as upon check-in at the office, we received absolutely no information about our rental. Naturally, we assumed there would be a packet waiting in the condo itself, though this was not the case. We were handed keys and directions were given, and that was it. Upon arrival, the code to the gate would not work. Thankfully our shuttle driver called and settled this with the main office-they had given us the incorrect code. No problem. Once inside, we found no information. I called the main office to find out about a wi-fi password-the man was very rude to me, acting as though this was a silly question (it is not password protected). Over the course of the next two days, we had two major incidents involving the keys they had given us; one of the keys did not work properly in the upper lock. Long story short, we were locked out of our condo twice-once because we did not know the top lock was broken, the second time because we did not know a housekeeping service was provided and they locked both door locks, resulting in us not being able to enter again. When this was brought to the attention of the main office, they were very rude. It took another full day to get the locks fixed, and again the main office was rude, unprofessional, and caused us to have to stay all day at the condo for a new lock to be installed. So, one night and one full day unable to leave, with little help from the main office and lots of attitude. Those employees who did direct service work for the property were very nice (the maintenance man who eventually came to fix the lock, housekeeping, and the grounds keeper). We just wish we had known they existed in the first place. The property itself was lovely, and the condo very well maintained. It is quite unfortunate the property owners have to use this management company, because it is not the property itself but the managers that really make it disappointing.

Great Location close to town

We enjoyed out stay here. Check in was easy and friendly. Appreciated that the owners contacted us during our stay to see if anything was needed. In our case we had rented a car and someone was using our condo spot. Mentioned it and the next morning our parking spot was vacant for us to use. Quick response Kim, thank you. The condo is clean, had everything we needed. Nice View from the deck, beautiful sunsets to enjoy and yet so close to town.

Great location, quiet and clean

Pool guy was here almost daily, so the pool was ready to go. The Unit was clean and well appointed. The location is great, easy to walk to everything but not too close to have all the noise. We had a couple of issues that were disappointing but not truly unexpected in a humid environment. What could be fixed (BBQ) was fixed on Monday (not much happens on sundays here?). The other (shower faucet)we lived without. Kim was great at getting back to me and answering all questions. The housekeepers here were helpful trying to resolve our issues as quickly as possible. Check in was very easy. Overall a great stay!

Beautiful Condo with Great People

We stayed in Condo #1 for one week this month and enjoyed every moment. All the amenities you could want, a beautiful view and great neighbors. I would highly recommend staying here. Kim and Ryan are also wonderful to work with.

Quiet location with amazing views

We stayed at Monte Perla #1 Dec. 20-29th 2016. The condo had just been repainted, there were new mattresses on the beds, new linens, curtains, etc. Had amazing sleeps!! Having 3 air conditioners (each bedroom and living room) was great as everyone liked a different temperature for sleeping. As we were 4 (2 adults, 9 year old and 15 year old) our teenager decided to sleep on the hide-a -bed which he found fine. We were able to prepare our own meals without any issues. There were many pots and pans that were in good condition, the kitchen was clean. We enjoyed viewing the sunsets from our patio - it is a truly amazing view being up on the hill looking out on the ocean. We spent many hours at the pool with our kids in the late afternoon. It was very clean with lounge chairs to enjoy either the sun or shade. They cleaned the pool daily. As it is a smaller complex the pool area is quiet. It was nice not being on the main street. You could not hear all the noise from the clubs and concerts that were going on. It was a nice walk, no more than 5 minutes to the beach and shops. We did work up a sweat coming back up the hill in the afternoon heat, but the pool or a "refreshing" drink took care of that. The supermarkets are very close by to get groceries. The owners were in contact by e-mail making sure everything was up to par. A small issue with a blocked condenser hose on the air conditioner was dealt with within a couple of hours by the property management. The owners also followed up with us to ensure again that it was corrected to our satisfaction. The building is well constructed, you do not hear any other people from the other units. It appears to be maintained well, there is onsite security during the night and it is gated. The safe in the condo worked well and held everything we needed - just remember the code needs to be 6 digits long! The closet in the master bedroom was very large and there are dressers in the bedrooms. The washer and dryer were great to have! We have stayed in many rental properties and this property met our expectations and is priced fairly. We would not hesitate to rent again! We had Christmas dinner at Pangas restaurant - amazing and classy being on the beach - walking distance from the condo towards the estuary.

Stunning views, great pool, effective floor plan, large windows and great outdoor eating area

We enjoyed our stay in this complex and would recommend it to others. The pool is a lovely oasis, sheltered from the hubbub of a bustling, fun tourist town. It was so nice to be up on this hill to enjoy the ocean breeze and take in the sunsets. I had a six month old baby at this location and found the layout to be good for naps without having to tiptoe around. I would highly recommend this place on the basis of the fair and professional owners and management; they are dependable and trustworthy, something that is the most critical in renting a VRBO.
