Sea Spell, una casa de 4 dormitorios en el Golfo de México, muelle, piscina, fabulosas vistas

Esta residencia de 4 dormitorios y 4 baños tiene excelentes vistas del mar abierto, una piscina de gran tamaño con un nuevo spa personalizado junto a la piscina y un muelle. Más de un acre de exuberante paisaje se abre a más de 200 'de frente de agua. El muelle se extiende hasta el Golfo de México. ¡Incluso si no tiene un bote, es un gran lugar para saltar y bucear o pescar! ¡Mira el sol caer al agua desde el porche, los balcones, la piscina o el muelle! La casa tiene dos niveles conectados por el ascensor interior o por las escaleras exteriores. El nivel superior es donde encontrará la sala principal con comedor y cocina. La suite principal tiene un amplio baño privado con bañera y ducha separadas. El dormitorio de invitados se conecta con el baño del pasillo, por lo que podría ser dos master suites arriba. Fuera de la cocina hay un porche de pantalla con opciones de comida adicionales, una parrilla integrada en la isla y baja a la terraza de la piscina.
El nivel inferior tiene una segunda sala de estar expansiva con un sofá y dos sillones para ver televisión o conversar de manera flexible y un segundo sofá seccional para leer o simplemente relajarse y mirar el Golfo de México. Un segundo refrigerador sirve como enfriador de bebidas, microondas para palomitas de maíz (¡tiempo de película!) y una mesa de comedor redonda que funciona muy bien para juegos o rompecabezas. Dos habitaciones de invitados también se encuentran en este nivel, una con una cama queen y otra con 2 camas individuales. Dos baños de salón con duchas sirven a cada habitación y área común, recientemente renovada, todos los azulejos y accesorios nuevos.
La casa tiene 6 televisores, uno en cada habitación y uno en la sala de estar de arriba y en la sala de estar de abajo. El dormitorio del primer piso de la reina solo está transmitiendo, sin conexión por cable. Los televisores del dormitorio principal y del dormitorio de invitados de arriba son de TV por cable y de transmisión. Servicio AT&T Uverse.

Very relaxing, and brain reset.

2nd time staying at same house. Kitty our Host was great as always. The upgrade to the kitchen was wonderful. We are all cooks, and our work is on Kiawah Island. It is comparable to the Houses we work on. Sunsets were wonderful, and just gave both couples time to enjoy and rebuild.

Great house and location

The location cannot be beat. The house was a little dated though. Furniture was torn and cobwebs in the light fixtures. The pool was large and well heated.

Beautiful Property

This is the 4th home we've stayed in on Morton Street. LOVE this area and the home and outdoor area were beautiful! We had a group of 6 adults, all friends who travel together. Highly recommend Seaspell along with property manager Kitty Whalton.

Very spacious two story house.

The house has plenty of room inside for everyone and the pool and hot tub were really nice, a big hit. The porch outside grill was used a lot when we were there and it worked well. The houses surrounding grounds and its landscaping definitely needs some tending to. It was a nice stay for us for the holidays.

Spring break family fun!

Great location, outdoor space-dock, ocean we’re excellent. Nice pool. House is really cool but could use some updates. Kitchen equipment needs replenishing and updating and organizing. Overall a great place to stay. Plenty of room for a big family!

Great Spaces

The house is actually better than pictured. Enjoyed all the space inside & the outside spaces allowed us all to have a place to enjoy. Would like to come back. Only disappointment was that the hot tub doesn’t have jets and doesn’t heat to hot and would suggest they fix that but overall good experience

My Review

Overall impression - it was a gorgeous property. The shoreline, the water, the dock and the home were all perfect for our annual getaway. We rented a boat separately and parked it right at the dock for several nights with out trouble. There was small sharks, Tarpon and even lobsters to watch right off the dock thru crystal clear waters. The place itself was clean and well maintained, the pool and pool area was excellent!

Amazing!

We have stayed in the keys for many years and this was hand down the best property we have ever stayed in. The house was beautiful, with brand new kitchen and tons of upgrades. Fabulous pool, dock with great fishing too! It was quiet and never felt crowded even with a big group. We will definitely stay there again. Only recommendation would be to add key pad to doors so we dont have to drive to the office. Cushions at the pool would be nice , but these are minor and in no way detract from how amazing it was

Marathon Memory Making

The property was better in person than online! Loved everything about it EXCEPT didn't love having to drive several miles past the house to pick up a key. We arrived late at night and it would have been lovely if there had been a keypad lock on one of the doors so that we could roll up and get in.

Your own private sunset

A large private property - you feels as if no one else is even near you. Nothing but ocean, palm trees and the famous sunset when you look from the upper deck or dock. Nice large pool and hot tub was great when we had a few cooler days (note there is an extra charge for pool heat but well worth it). House came supplied as stated and elevator a plus when you have elderly people. We had a large multi family group with people ranging from 20 to 84 years old and this house and the area had something for everyone. Sun, shade, kayaks, fishing off the dock, restaurants and shopping close by. The house and property could use some TLC but nothing that would distract from enjoying your stay. The most impressive asset of this house was the care and responsiveness of the Kitty Walton the property manager. Blender broken - her husband John came the next day with a nice new one, light bulb for outside blown - fixed the next day, needed more sheets for pull out - delivered in 2 hours! We always rent a different house every year and this one would be hard to top.

Not what you expect

This is an absolutely beautiful place that is not well maintained. The exterior is very over grown & full of biting bugs that do not respond to bug spray so we all came home literally covered with bites. The enclosure was very dirty & also filled with the biting bugs. Paid to heat pool & the spa was not heating until it was found by pool person that it was turned off for most of our week. Wash anything that you want to cook or eat off of. Most things were dirty that we pulled out to use. Several of the lightbulbs were burnt out with lot's of replacements in the closet. Lots of junk in the yard that should be easily cleaned up. With just a little effort & some major bug control the place could be a great place to stay but as is. I would not recommend it.

Vacation 2020 is a wrap!

We had a really nice stay at Sea Spell on Grassy Key. It is beautifully landscaped, and large private property. The house is lovely and has a great view of the gulf. All of the pictures on the Vrbo website were accurate. If you have young children, I recommend this property because of the safety factor; the pool is fenced-in with latching gates, and is not directly connected to the exterior doors of the house. The upstairs screened-in porch has a staircase, which does have direct access to the pool, but there is a loud alarm on the screen door. There are no stairs inside the house; there is an elevator inside the house and a set of stairs on the outside. Again, this is a plus if you have toddlers or babies. We did a little snorkeling and fishing off the dock while we were there. We didn't catch anything keepable, but it was fun. A couple of our family members were fascinated by the foliage on the property, and spent some time identifying what was growing. The pool and hot tub are both really nice, but if you're one to like cool water to swim in, don't go in July or August; the water was almost bath water temperature. The beds were pretty comfortable, as was the living room furniture. The pillows, however, were not comfortable; so if you're particular about that, you might want to bring your own:-) The ride into Marathon is about 10 minutes or so, depending on where you are going. The check in and check out process took place in Marathon, and was easier than any other time I've ever rented a property for vacation. While there, we ate out several times; I can honestly say, all of the restaurants exceeded our expectations. Our favorites were: Keys Fisheries (outside only, but delish! And you can feed the fish), Key Colony Inn, Triton Seafood Restaurant (Italian) and Havana Jack's (short menu - more of a bar, but the food was great). We also ate at Mrs. Mac's in Key Largo on the way down. We went on a snorkeling trip through Captain Pip's; they were great! We also went to Theater of the Sea and ate at the Shrimp Shack afterward.

Heaven in the Keys

This rental far exceeded our expectations! The location put us in close proximity with so many great local stores and restaurants, but the scenic views from the pool and the dock took our breath away. Our stay was with three families, and we had more than enough room so that we all had enough space to enjoy our time in the Keys. We were so happy with this choice as a rental, and all I could say is that this was heaven in the Keys. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

We enjoyed the mid-Key location which allowed us to easily explore up and down the Keys. The sunsets were beautiful from the balcony and dock!

Blissful Retreat

SeaSpell was a great place for our extended family to vacation together in The Keys. Located on Grassy Key, it is very central to anyplace you want to visit while you’re here. The pool and beach are beautiful and the breeze through the plentiful palm trees feels like the Caribbean. There are kayaks to enjoy and you could literally snorkel right off the dock. We saw parrot fish, Angel fish, barracuda and a nurse shark. The layout of the house is a bit strange, with an elevator your only way between floors without exiting to the outside; however, with weather like we had, no one minded taking an extra walk out in the sunshine. Our only real complaints were In regards to the second bedroom on the 2nd level, which desperately needs a new mattress! and the fact that the cleaners had left a chunk of butter in the kitchen sink before our arrival, which attracted ants. There were also some lightbulbs out throughout the house, but nothing we couldn’t work through. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at SeaSpell and would definitely consider staying here again on another trip.

Beautiful Gulf Home for Families

We had a wonderful stay at the Sea Spell this past week. Our family had tons of room for sleeping and the outside pool and yard provided ample space for all activities. The grounds of the Sea Spell are beautiful and the sunsets are unmatched.

Absolutely perfect!!!

We had THE BEST stay at Sea Spell. The views are stunning. Fishing from the dock was fantastic. Wildlife at the dock was amazing. We saw dolphins, endless fish varieties, and a sea turtle came right to the dock several of our days there. The pool and spa are UNBELIEVABLY nice as is the entire pool deck. The house is unique and beautiful. It is appointed well and very comfortable. Stocked with everything you need. Finally - Kitty is unmatched as far as property management goes. We have stayed at a lot of properties all over the country and her responsiveness, hospitality and friendliness were so appreciated. We felt like we made a new friend in the Keys upon meeting her :-) We CANNOT WAIT to stay here again!!!

Very pleased with this property.

House was just as described. Lots of space. Pool and hot tub was great. Beds could definitely use new pillows. But other than that, we were pleased. Very happy it had an elevator!!
