Dear Melanie, I can only agree with you: We do have a wonderful house, a wonderful Chef and a wonderful view. But YES, this time we faced an absolute nightmare, as it could happen in Tropical areas, as with regards to the electrical supply: at the very same time we faced a power outage, our alternative solutions couldn't be connected. This rarely happens, but for sure at the sea side we are under humidity and salty conditions that can be very harmful towards our equipments. We are very very sorry for that and thank you for giving us nevertheless a 4-star rating 🙏

Thank you Cassie for your very positive appraisal, my crew will surely appreciate. As I told you, children must be watched out carefully. But I actually believe that our peaceful lagoon is much much safer for children than the big waves of the Tulum beach or the ocean front villas. They indeed need to wear appropriate shoes to enjoy our coral plateau, where they can play in puddles and can watch little tropical wildlife. Anyway, your overall appraisal is very rewarding, thank you!

. Only one thing is true: We had an incredible storm, the terrace was full of water ... no surprise that water came down! . Complaints based on lies and bad faith, only after the stay, to try to get some money back... . This group was difficult; one of the very few that the staff did NOT AT ALL enjoy working for! We don't recommend them.

Dear Ben, Thank you for all your nice words as with regards to the good preparation of your holidays and the high quality of the staff and the food. As with regards to electricity: the power outage is on behalf of the Mexican state electricity company (CFE), not at all because of La Maison Manati, you know it. As a matter of fact, after this incident, you had a wonderful birthday party within no more any problem of power outage. You decided to leave the day after, not because of any problem with the villa, but because you had a dispute within your group. You suddenly left, without saying anything to the staff and even leaving some luggage (which you took back later) ... the atmosphere was heavy within your group. To write here that it was because of power outage is 100% bad faith. We actually have purchased a generator since that problem occurred. We are not proud of it, as it was against our policy, for ecological reasons, as it works on fuel. We indeed have already 24 solar panels and batteries for basic needs (not for AC and water pump though), but we understand that our guests are priority number 1 and that they don't want to compromise. So, as from now, we have a generator as well, which we will be using in case of any power outage. Best regards, Jean-Luc
