Esta casa es un clásico Ventura 3 habitaciones 2. 5 baños 1750 pies cuadrados. casa en la playa. La casa se encuentra a 50 pies de las arenas de la playa de Pierpont. Tiene amplias vistas al océano desde muchas de las habitaciones y balcones de arriba. Esta es la casa perfecta para pasar la semana descansando en la playa con sus amigos y familiares. Esta casa puede acomodar hasta 8 personas. Hay dos dormitorios con camas queen arriba. Un tercer dormitorio tiene 1 cama individual y 1 cama de matrimonio. Hay un sofá cama doble plegable en la sala de estar. Además del amplio espacio del porche desde donde se puede ver la puesta de sol sobre el océano, también hay un acogedor patio cerrado en el patio delantero donde se puede tomar el café de la mañana. En el patio trasero hay un patio cerrado con comedor para barbacoas y cenas al aire libre. Tenemos una cocina bien surtida con todos los utensilios necesarios para cocinar una cena familiar. Si no tiene ganas de cocinar, hay varios restaurantes a pocos pasos de distancia. Este sería un lugar seguro para que los niños pequeños jueguen afuera en los patios cerrados. Hay poco o ningún tráfico de automóviles en este carril, lo que hace que sea seguro para los niños mayores moverse. La playa comienza a pocos pasos de la casa.
Esta es una casa ideal para vacaciones familiares, retiros de parejas, reuniones familiares, reuniones con amigos y una escapada general para tomarse un tiempo para respirar el aire del mar y escuchar el rugido del océano. Estamos ubicados a 3 minutos de la 101, a una hora de LAX, a 30 minutos de Santa Bárbara y a 10 minutos del centro de Ventura. A poca distancia hay supermercados y restaurantes locales junto a la playa. Hay un tranvía que se detiene a 2-3 cuadras de nuestra casa y que lleva a los visitantes al centro de Ventura y al puerto. Se puede acceder al Parque Nacional de las Islas del Canal desde el puerto de Ventura (a poca distancia de nuestra casa). Nuestra playa es una amplia y hermosa playa de arena con algunas corrientes de arena. Hay pesca de surf, surf, natación y buenas caminatas y observación de aves en la playa. Mientras que las fogatas en la playa están mal vistas por el gobierno local, tenemos un pozo de fuego en nuestro patio trasero que puede funcionar como una barbacoa (también proporcionamos una parrilla weber). Lo tiene todo para las vacaciones perfectas en la playa.

Need updating, but great location. Water pressure is an issue. Kitchen from the 60’s. Nice backyard, but patio furniture needs to be replaced. Good beach access.

This was our second stay at this location. Last year we thought it was the cleanest rental we had seen in our travel history. Not so this year. It was just surfaced cleaned, with signs of the previous guests. 4 houses from beach and a decent rate are great. But sadly the owner just isn’t meeting expectations. Upgrades and replacements are needed throughout. In the kitchen, coffee pot broken, microwave handle broken, garbage can broke and gross and oven dirty. In living room, couch covers and pillows dirty and smell. A 19” TV! You can buy a 60” at Walmart for 220. Linens are old and worn. They were piled in the cabinet, we weren’t sure if they were even cleaned. Bedrooms, other reviewers have complained about the beds, I’ll just add, they’re terrible! The only good bed is in the master and it’s a queen!The room is gigantic, get a king bed. There are a few small fans in the bedrooms, they are caked with dirt, 1 can barely turn if you dare use. Bathrooms are ok, but you get 1 roll of TP in each no matter how long your stay, 1 paper towel in kitchen to. Back yard, along with the TP & PT I had to buy, I also had to buy a BBQ brush to clean the filthy grill. I had to clean the patio table in order to use it, hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The sprinkler system has so many leaks that it floods part of the yard (mud/dog!) and I had to put rocks to cover multiple holes squirting water on us and our stuff.

Practically perfect!

It was fantastic. The location couldn’t have been better.. We’re from Ojai/Ventura, back celebrating family & the special place our kids grew up. Family members staying at other rentals could pop in on their way to the beach—truly just steps away—, little cousins could play safely in the gated-front courtyard or surprisingly generous backyard. The house is spacious, open, & bright…loved the skylights on the upstairs landing & in the master bath, as well as glass-block accent walls in bathroom’s & kitchen.. lots of windows, cozy couches & a couple of nice balconies, great dining area. The outside rinse-off shower was very handy for salt water/sand control. (Definitely need that baby oil for tar-removal) Hardwood floors upstairs & tile downstairs made for easy maintenance. Bright, well-appointed kitchen with plenty of counter space. So close to everything.. grabbing dinner from Corrales & Johnny’s, shopping on Main St, & ice blocking down the hills at Arroyo Verde Park… just being in Ventura was awesome. And our host & accommodations made everything even better. I totally recommend this lovely property.

Gem of a find!

We come twice a year to the Pierpoint neighborhood while visiting our daughter near by. This house has so much space and so close to beach. Fenced backyard great for our Whoodle. Could use a second tv and a larger one in livingroom.

Great beach house

We do 2-3 rentals a year, by far! This was the cleanest place we have ever seen. All the rooms are big, there are 3 full couches in the living room! The yard is good size, private and plenty of sun, if you don’t want to make 50’ walk to the beach. Kitchen is fully stocked, gas stove and storage for guests. A new BBQ and a king bed would be great upgrades, but a solid 5 star rental.

Steps away from sand

This very large home was perfect for our stay of 6weeks. Large bedrooms, great backyard and sweet front patio, easily accessed and perfect for pets with hard wood floors and tile throughout. Garage to store toys and bikes and plenty of parking. Just enough linens and lots of storage closets and beautiful lighting. Decks off of bedrooms were a bonus and overall just an easy, relaxed home.

Wedding Week

The house was in a perfect location for us and my young grandsons enjoyed the backyard and ocean. The house needs a lot of up dates. A king bed in the master bedroom. It’s big enough. TV was very small. Very outdated furniture and washer and dryer were filthy. The host was very attentive to any questions we had. She made us aware that there was a huge bees nest in the eaves and did have it resolved within a couple days of our stay. We were there for our daughters wedding. The house served its purpose.

Family vacation

The location is great. The view of the beach is out of one of the guest bedrooms which was a bummer. I didn’t sleep well due to the mattress in master bedroom. My husband and I took. Jacuzzi bath but it leeks there for the flood down stairs gets a puddle. We only had TV with streaming if you have Netflix etc. we really missed watching our favorite shows in the morning late evening. Couch is so uncomfortable I was trying to contact owner we accidentally left a lap top. Please let us know we will pay for postage

What a Beautiful Beachfront Home....

We stayed for 10 days, and had a really good experience. Marcia, our host, answered all my questions with timely texts, and was friendly. We had our grandkids with us, and dad for the first part. The three bedrooms and 3 bath setup was just right for us, dad, his son, and the two girls. Beach access was great, we went about a block walk to the Seaward lifeguard tower and beach for the many beach days. Safety first. The outdoor shower afterwards was a blessing, and it was even heated. The living room is spacious and adequate, ie, the wicker couches were a little "rugged" but do-able. Hehehe I think all of us made the mistake of sitting down hard between the wicker pieces and sat directly over the edges. Ouch. You just do that one once. The kitchen was spacious, plenty of kitchen utensils and dishware. Be sure to bring or buy your "essentials" like cooking oil, coffee, butter, bread, spices, etc because they are not included. Towels, laundry, laundry soap all good; we brought our own bath soaps and shampoos. The beds were good, personally we prefer a king, but the queen in the large master bedroom is adequate. Speaking of the master it is HUGH, with a nice well-lit bathroom as well. The garage has the washer and dryer, and that's where the trash bins were as well. Parking is off street, so you either park into the front of the garage door, or you "diagonal " park. We had a big Chrysler Mini-van and it was no problem. What a beautiful beach home!

Great family vacation spot

Perfect for two couples with a baby - thanks for the pack n play and high chair! Fully and comfortably furnished, well-equipped kitchen, and private back garden with fire pit and barbecue. Steps to the beach, and easy walk to supermarket, diner, delicious tacos and Japanese food. Marcia was a helpful and communicative host. We hope to visit again!

This was a great spot… plenty of room for my family…! Great backyard with fire pit and BBQ…. Enjoyed breakfast in either back yard or front yard… Just a great house and a super short walk to the beach and to great food/restaurants or Ralph’s supermarket… We so enjoyed our stay.. the neighbors and neighborhood were great.. Sunsets were incredible…. would defiantly come back and stay here again.. Marcia was a great host… easily accessible if needed… Bottom line I would highly recommend a stay here and we plan to be back next April..!!

Location, Location, Location

This beach house was perfect for us. My husband and I spent a lot of our youth in this area, so we were happy to spend some time here in the Pierpont beach area again. We knew the month of October would be a good time here; it’s perfect weather for walks on the beach. We had sunny, warm days, some fog, but also many beautiful, clear days. We loved that the beach was only two houses away from us. We spent time on the beach watching our grandson play. With friends, we took nice, long walks along the shore. When we could, we headed out to the dunes to view the sunset. It was all in all quite relaxing. The house was perfect for our needs. We had some family stay with us and a few friends dropped in, too. The house is casual and “beachy.” There is a nice back yard and our little dog Mikey was quite happy out there. I often sat in the back (or the front patio, too!) to read in the early morning. If you want to cook (which we didn’t do very often), the kitchen is quite nice. There are dishes for all and a dining room with 6 chairs. Some of our favorite activities were right there in Ventura. The Ventura Harbor is just a few miles south. There are a number of good restaurants with views. Top This Chocolate, where you can design your own chocolate bar, is worth a visit. I also have to mention my favorite store Barefoot Boutique. Several times we headed into town for coffee and pastries at Café Ficelle. We usually came home with a loaf of their bread and some coffee for the house. One of the big treats was up near the mission on Main Street where a number of blocks have been turned into a pedestrian area only. The restaurants have expanded out onto the street. On the weekends there is music and lots of people watching. For day trips, there is so much to do. Of course, there is wine country not far north (Santa Barbara and Los Olivos). We like going to Carpinteria which is only about 15 minutes north. It has a charming downtown with antique stores and restaurants. I also recommend heading inland to Newhall (Santa Clarita). Go to Main Street where there are a number of good wineries and restaurants. All the twinkly lights at night make it so pretty. Location, location, location! We'll be back.

Perfect family spot

We were in Ventura to celebrate a family wedding. We travel with our 13-yr old terrier mix. It was an ideal location to have relatives and friends stop by. Enclosed backyard perfect for small kids and small dogs.

I had been looking for beach property in Ventura since discovering the Ventura lanes. The area is a sleepy old fashioned beach neighborhood with all the amenities needed to hunker down to a real beach vacation yet close to Ventura, LA, and my home in Santa Barbara. When I found this house in the summer of 2013 (I had been looking for 2-3 years), it was love at first site....close to the sand, well maintained, plus ocean views from several spots. I have enjoyed decorating and furnishing the house and look forward to further opportunities to add my own mark on the house.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Our house is unique to the Pierpont Lanes area in that, though it is a relatively large house, it also has a large fenced in back yard suitable for outside gatherings (complete with fire pit and gas barbecue). Also charming is the fenced front patio and deck overlooking the ocean from the second floor bedroom. We are close enough to the ocean to enjoy the sound of the waves and ocean breezes in addition to ocean and mountain views from most rooms. The inside is light and airy thanks to an open atrium (staircase) where light streams into the house from several skylights.
