Enjoy shopping and restaurants at Bohicket Marina & Market less than three miles from your rental, or soak up the sun at the award-winning beach you can find at Kiawah Island.

Sunlet Cottage

The unit was a little dated but well appointed and very clean. The location is just outside the main Kiawah gate so it is easily accessible but also comes with a pass to get onto Kiawah. It is right down the street from a public beach access.

Great location

We were here for MUSC visit and house was well equipped and nicely decorated accommodating all of our needs. The weather wasn’t perfect beach weather but for us on the inside looking out the views were delightful and picturesque.

First time on the Island

We enjoyed the cottage. Had a mountain feel, while being able to bike to the beach. Bring extra towels and wash rags we only had one each. Very quiet spacious beach. Was really relaxing!

Nice stay for spring break

Property was very clean and as advertised. Do read the communications from Vacasa carefully as I missed receiving our car pass via email and did not have the gate code when we arrived, which was bit of a hassle since we had an after-hours arrival. Also, I would rate a 5 except that the kitchen and supplied amenities were pretty bare-bones relative to other rentals we've used via VRBO. I realize we're in a post-pandemic world, but it's nice when the kitchen has a few staple food items supplied and a little beach gear / toys for kids. But overall would stay there again.

Great place! I feel the cleaning people do not do their job! If I was the owner I would fire them! Their was mild in master shower that you could remove just by wiping! Bleach would take care of it n no time! Dust and debris on floors and carpets! Not owners fault! They should find another service! Great location!

Best stay yet!

This place has it all! Great location, close to pool and beach access, resturants & bike trails. We usually stay in Sea Brook which has always been great as well, but this place seemed so private and upon walking in it was clean and smelled so good! The greenery just makes it seem a little more secluded, although you are still in a neighborhood, it just didn't seem like it. THe crabing dock was great and what awesome views! My husband and grandson enjoyed it and it was only about 25 steps from the pool. The pool was clean and there was enought shade or sunshine areas, whichever you prefer when just hanging out. The nice sized kitchen had all we needed and more for cooking as far as utensils, pot, pans etc. Bed rooms were nice as well. Beds a little more on the firmer side but my family all slept great! We had one little issue where the dryer stopped working but it was immediatly handled. Very prompt communication. Would love to stay here again! Was not ready to leave!

Stay was fine

It didn’t start out very well. I never received the gate code on my parking pass. I waited at the gate for 30 minutes and then was on the phone for 90 minutes trying to get the code from the numbers listed in the property booklet. (The pool code is the same) several light bulbs were inop. I have never stayed at a “beach”property that didn’t have beach towels or beach chairs! Broken blind. It was very quiet and peaceful. I think for the price per night, attention to detail was lacking ..

spring break 2020

the property was wonderful, beautifully decorated, very comfortable, the kitchen had everything needed, the location was perfect, check-in and out was easy, overall a great stay. Recommendations would be tv's in the other 2 bedrooms. The master was the only bedroom with a tv. I knew that prior to going, not an issue with us but I am sure would be with many. Also, many light bulbs were out throughout the house. Both of the bathrooms had numerous bulbs out which made it difficult to apply make-up. The dining room light and some of the lamps had bulbs out too. Again not a big deal but, would be nice if the cleaning crew would make sure to replace them. I would definitely go back and stay! It was a very relaxing time with so much stress around Covid-19. It really hit the week we were there. The restaurants in SC closed that Wednesday. We were able to buy a few things at the grocery store to fix our meals and actually enjoyed staying in.

Kiawah Island ‘Treehouse’

We loved our week at this beautiful property. Though there are many units on the island, there is so much foliage that you can barely see any neighboring homes. Easy walk or drive to the beach, and an easy 30 minute drive to most of the tourist sites around..plantations, beautiful winery, Fort Sumter, and Charleston. Very quiet and peaceful, and lots of wildlife. The only thing I might suggest is providing any future renters more details on how to operate the entry lock. Most entry locks that we have used turn green after the code is entered correctly, and then you turn the door handle. This one turned green then red immediately after and turning the door handle did not open the door. We arrived after Sunday office hours, so the local property manager was not there to ask for help. We called Vacasa and someone was able to give us the lock box code to access an actual key, which we found just spun in the lock. It was only by the grace of God that we got in after fiddling with it for a very long time…groceries in tow. We spoke with the property manager the following morning and she told us that when you enter the code and the light turns green you turn the actual lock, not the door handle. It might be helpful to list some better details in the check-in instructions so that this doesn’t happen to anyone else. Overall though, this was a beautiful place to stay and we would come back in a heartbeat!
