Inside your getaway, the open living area offers a great spot to unwind with ample lounging areas and relaxing coastal vibes. Find everything you need to prepare tasty meals in the well-equipped kitchen, outfitted with sleek granite countertops and a full suite of updated appliances.

Fully updated, this retreat offers the ultimate destination for families with a Pack n’ Play, highchair, kid’s utensils, and dishware. There are also beach toys, folding kids’ chairs, a puddle jumper life vest (30-50 pounds), and an assortment of kids’ books and toys. The lower kitchen cabinets also have kid locks, and the balcony railing is high with tightly spaced bars for your peace of mind.

Indian Shores is a quiet beach community just south of Indian Rocks Beach and popular with everyone from snowbirds to seabirds. It’s laden with Florida charm and fiery sunsets, and its assortment of shops and restaurants helps visitors feel right at home. Just 19 blocks long, the community is known for its friendly atmosphere, panoramic beaches, great seafood, and tropical wildlife. It’s also home to the Seaside Seabird Sanctuary, one of the largest nonprofit bird hospitals in the country (a 5-minute walk from the Sand Dollar), and the fun-filled Splash Harbour Water Park.

Things to Know
The county is completing an emergency beach erosion control project on the beaches in Pinellas County. The next stage is for Indian Shores beaches, which is scheduled for preparations on December 8, 2023, with work beginning on Monday, December 11, 2023. The project is slated to last until January 31, 2024. Beaches will be closed in the area during this time and will not be accessible to guests.
Beach chairs, towels, toys (boogie board, volleyball, frisbee, etc), and a cooler are available.
Sand Dollar complex wristbands will be provided in the unit. They must be worn in the pool and common areas year-round.

We were not made aware of the beach construction. 24hrs a day and no access to beach. That is why we chose this place, for direct beach access. It was loud all night. The beds were comfortable, had plenty of room but the floors were dirty/sandy. There was only two functioning beach chairs, the rest were broken. It seems like the owner hasn't been there in awhile. The place needs a deep clean and removal of stuff out of the beach closet. The pool/spa was nice. I would stay there again when beach access is available.

Terrible room was nasty hair, cockroach’s,no response back left didn’t even stay requested refund stated not able would never recommend to anyone we stay all different resorts on Indian rocks beach this was the worst never stay should refund my money back because we didn’t stay cause the conditions..

At first glance, the place is beautiful. But then the problems arise. The living room furniture is horribly uncomfortable. The ice maker and many outlets don't work. The guest bathroom is in a very inconvenient location. The shower handle was so old it rusted off in the guest bathroom and the toilet took way too long to fill and flush. There was one door and one elevator for the entire place to use and it was away from the beach. None of this ruined the trip but a fore warning would have been great.

The property was very clean. Beds were comfortable. We liked the keyless entry. Our questions were answered promptly. The use of beach chairs and beach towels was nice. We didn’t have to weigh down our luggage with beach towels, since we had a flight down.We enjoyed our stay.

Great stay

Three bedroom condo on the beach. Condo is located on Indian shores. This area was hit by two hurricanes recently and the pool/park/pier were all not accessible as they were damaged and under repairs during our stay. The condo itself faces the main road and there is no beach view.

1st Time for a Condo stay at the Beach

The condo needs a lotvof repairs. The fan in the kids room doesn't work. There needs to be more towel holders in the bathrooms. You cannot use the air fryer and the microwave at the same time it blows a fuse. The doors on the washer and dryer needs to be fixed. You need to put an instr paper on how to work the TV in the living room. We were ok but a lot of people wouldn't have any idea how to work the TV. The beds were very comfortable.

Beautiful beach and pier

Overall happy with the stay. Room is off to the side so beach view is from the end of the balcony on the side. Could use some remodeling but has been maintained well and kept clean. Kitchen is well stocked with anything needed. There was also items for the beach and children available which was nice. The beach was not crowded and the private pier was nice and provided shade if needed. One negative is having to keep up with a key to have access to stairwells and some gates. With only 1 elevator on the property it tends to take awhile to use. Parking was great with plenty of space.

Amazing Beach Getaway

If you are looking for a picturesque, quiet, perfect beach location this is your spot. The pool was amazing perfect temperature and just spotless. We stayed with our 2 teenagers and my daughter and 2 young children. The condo was well appointed with just about everything you need, including beach towels and many beach toys including beach chairs. There was also a cabinet full of toys to keep my grandkids occupied. Short drive to restaurants and grocery stores. The furnishings were a little dated and worn which did not bother us as everything else was perfect.

Sand Dollar 101

This was our first trip back to Sand Dollar in several years. We so enjoyed being back there, however I am not certain if I missed the fine print or if it wasn’t there, but it was a disappointing start to our vacation to find out we didn’t have access to the amenities of the beach or pool until check in since we booked through VRBO vs the property. Additionally, while the condo was what we expected as far as size & such, there were several holes in the walls that had been patched but not painted & kitchen cabinets smelled musty. Customer service offered via phone was not as friendly as I had anticipated, but we were able to get our needs taken care of. One positive, especially if you have small children is that the closets were filled with beach toys, etc.

Despite being cold and cloudy, we had great family time! This unit had everything! We fished, got some beautiful shells and beautiful sunsets. Definitely recommend.

Great Property

We had a wonderful stay at Sand Dollar!! The condo was very comfortable for 8 adults. Bedrooms were very comfy and the kitchen offered many amenities. We enjoyed the spacious porch as well as the heated pool and hot tub. Definitely would recommend this property.

Great stay for a birthday

The listing was on point with everything you needed. Having beach towels available was wonderful. issue we had was the code given for the room didn’t include that * had to used after you entered the code. Called the company and they couldn’t give us the information either. We figured it out ourselves. Also having to have a key to go up the stairwell was not good bc the elevator does take forever. With being on the first floor we preferred to use the stairs but only having 2 keys to the stairwell was not convenient.

Family beach vacation

This was the perfect place for our group with kids ages 11-2. Plenty of room, including large balcony, great closet space and very well stocked kitchen, kids toys and extras, including beach chairs, beach towels and 2 kid kayaks. We had some trouble with the keypad on arrival, but figured it out. Easy beach access and nice pool.

great place for children & families

A great place to stay if you have children, everything you would need in one place. Beach chairs, toys, canopy, blankets all you could need in one place. Wasn’t a gulf view but we didn’t spend any time on the balcony so it didn’t affect us. It was clean, beautiful decorated and everything you would need. I will definitely be back!!!

Family 3 day Stay June 18-21-23

Unit was very spacious. Rooms nice sizes. Kitchen well equipped. Location was great. Proximity of resort to the water was great! We had an issue with some small ants and a large roach. We contacted management and were supposed to send someone to address this but no one came.

Great Beach, Good location, Needs some updates

The Beach and private pier were great. The location is great. Near lots of restaurants and close to Clearwater and St. Pete. The building is older. The staff was nice. But, needs updates and the elevator was so slow. Keys were needed for stairs. Wish we'd known about the keys upon arrival, that was confusing. The condo was spacious and the porch was nice. The kitchen had lot s of gadgets, but is outdated and had a strong odor. The property managers responded quickly and did a deep clean of the kitchen, which was appreciated and helped some. The bathroom shower heads and sinks need to be updated. Great beach getaway for our family. Kids loved it. If the condo can get some updates in kitchen and bathroom I'd rate it higher and return. But, needs some TLC in those areas. We had a good time and will go back to that area.

GULF VIEW CONDO

Very clean overall. Close to restaurants. Kitchen well stocked. There was a standard coffee maker and a Keurig. No laundry detergent available to start washing sheets as requested. Had issues with electronic lock but communication with Vacasa (Property Manager) was exceptional. Quick fix. There are 2 keys that are required for using the stairs and getting into pool and onto beach which should have been communicated. Pool and hot tub were great and beach access was very nice. Only steps to the waters edge. Beds were very comfortable, beach towels provided, plenty of games and books for kids and adults, and beach toys , chairs, etc were in condo. Maybe add an inventory list of what they have in amenities on website. . Great grilling area. Tried to access the fishing pier on last day and neither key worked ?? The condo balcony was a corner with a Gulf View but set back from the front of the building which I didn't realize when booking. I like ocean front. Overall I would definitely stay here again.
