Loved our stay and are already planning on returning! Our family had a great time with our dog. Our two boys stayed in the pool and we appreciated a very short walk to the beach. We had a late arrival and the lights were on with a basket of goodies waiting on us-which we were thankful for after a long trip! I cannot say enough good things about the wonderful communication and amenities. Thank you for having us!

Tangerine House in Holmes Beach

This house was immaculate. Everything we needed was at the house even a wagon to put all your beach items in to take to the beach. Plenty of room in the house so spacious with lovely decor that makes you feel so comfortable. We absolutely loved this house. Internet was great. Plenty of TVs. Kitchen was well stocked with nice appliances and lovely dining area. Beach was a very short walk without crossing any street. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this house was. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!

What a great week!

We had a wonderful stay! Great location on a quiet street steps from the beach. The pool was a hit with my kids and we had plenty of room to enjoy all that Anna Maria has to offer. We would do it again!

This house is exactly as pictured: charming, comfortable, steps from a beautiful beach. We walked everywhere:dinner, doughnuts, cocktails. Wonderful location, house has room to relax. We started each day with coffee by the pool and ended with a late night walk on the beach.

Really private!!

This property is worth staying at for the great location and proximity to a gorgeous beach. Weather was chilly so owners graciously allowed a tick up in pool temp. They were very responsive lovely people.

absolutely fantastic owners & house!

we could not have enjoyed our stay more! we already can't wait to go back to this house. the house has everything you could possibly need and the patio is the perfect place to enjoy the sunshine! the location to the beach can't be beat, and the neighborhood is nice and quite. suzann was so helpful and communicative with all of the details involved in our stay. by far the best owners we have encountered in booking vacations!

Fantastic describes his beautiful home!

My husband and I spent a week at the tangerine house celebrating our anniversary. Everything was perfect! The location was perfect, so close to the beach! The house itself was very spacious, clean and had all the amenities we could ask for. What we really loved was how easy it was to work and communicate with Suzann! She even wrote us an anniversary card and a basket full of goodies. We will definitely be staying here again 😊☀️😊

Charming house a short walk to the beach

A great place for a girls getaway. Spend your mornings on the beach afternoons lounging around the pool with plenty of seating & shady umbrellas. There are plenty of beach chairs, towels, a cooler & a wagon to help take all your stuff to the beach. The large family room is wonderful for movie night & having 3 bathrooms was great. There is a trolley stop less then a block away. Suzann checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely rent again for future visits.

Terrific Stay!

The property came as advertised. Very nice, two bedroom home with a bathroom for each room. The bedrooms were on opposite ends of the house which works out very well. The pool was landscaped nicely and it was a very short walk to the beach. Everything we needed from chairs to a cooler was available to us. Suzann (the owner) was always reachable for any questions that we had and checked in regularly to see if she could help. This was exactly what we were looking for!!!!

Great Location/ Amazing Home!

This house is absolutely adorable. It is cute and quirky and SO well cared for. We loved every minute here. The AC is solid- the beach a few houses away. The house amenities are amazing: Amazon Fire TV in 3 rooms; exquisitely comfortable sheets and a plethora of towels for the beach and the bath. Most importantly: It is so clean!!! Suzann and Frank live next door and are so accommodating if you have a need or concern,- but they keep their space and honor your privacy otherwise.

Couldn’t have been better!!

The house was great, the location was perfect. The owner (Suzann) was super nice. The walk to the beach was very short (less than 2 mins). The private pool was so fun and refreshing. The house is decorated in every room with lots of beach and seaside decorations....truly feels like a fun Florida home. The bedrooms are spaced out which was so nice because if some went to bed earlier than others they weren’t bothered by the noise. Having 3 total bathrooms was great, especially for the ladies in our group. It was a true relaxing vacation! Our family was very happy with the place and definitely will be returning!

Great stay!

The home is perfect for a family. The master bedroom is very spacious, allowing my wife and I to set up a pack and play for our baby, and the second bedroom was comfortable for my parents. Three bathrooms were a plus, and the family room and large entertainment room provided more than enough room to relax inside during a rain shower. The pool was great to relax after a long hot day at the beach, with an umbrella poolside providing ample shade for the baby. The kitchen was well stocked with most any utensil you would need to cook, and the large grill on the back porch was brand new. My wife loved the beachy decor/furnishings. The owners were very helpful, accommodating, and quick to respond to any questions or needs. The beach was just a short walk to the end of the street. I would highly recommend this rental.

This house was more of a home and a vacation rental. Our time here was perfect. This house was more spacious, cozy, and comfortable than I could ever have imagined. The inside and outside of the home was meticulously clean. The owner has thought of absolutely everything to make our stay perfect. She checked with us a few times to be sure there was nothing more we needed. The private pool was nothing less than luxurious. But the tropical landscaping and the very very short walk to the beach was great even for me who has some mobility problems. The 1940s theme felt so homey and we are already planning our trip back next year, if I can wait that long. Our time in paradise could not have been better. (May 2023)

Wonderful beach house!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 weeks in April. The house is lovely - a perfect beach retreat. We found it to be very clean and super comfortable. We had a few overnight guests during our visit and there was plenty of room for everyone to gather together and also to spread out as needed. The outdoor space is well-maintained and offers a great combo of shade and sun. Suzann was easy to reach and very helpful. Our only disappointment (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) was the pool situation. From the pictures and the description, we expected the pool to be private when it is in fact shared with the yellow house next door. And, as the pool is located just steps outside the french doors from the kitchen and bedroom, it can be quite awkward/uncomfortable as you find yourself sharing your living space with strangers. Fortunately for us, the adjacent house was vacant for 2 of our 3 week stay so the awkwardness was short-lived. If you are like us and prefer your privacy, we'd recommend you confirm the rental status of the yellow house next door before booking this lovely property.

Everything was perfect, would book again.

This was our 6th trip to AMI, and first time staying at this home. We chose The Tangerine House for the convenience to the beach as we are not quite as mobile as we used to be. It was a very short walk to the beach and allowed us to walk back multiple times to check on our doggos. House is decorated in a whimsical beach motif, ground level and had everyting we needed. Beds were comfortable, home is SUPER CLEAN, not a dust bunny in sight. Owners have thought of everything. We knew to take a cooler in order to get ice at the store, and we don't mind washing dishes by hand, heck that's how we grew up so no biggie for us. Gas grill was clean & had plenty of propane, back yard was completely fenced in so no worries with our dogs getting out. Pool was clean and good to jump into after a few hours at the beach, outdoor shower was available to rinse off as well as hoses all around the home. Check out the huge hanging baskets on the grill side patio, not sure what they are but are really cool. Owners are super nice and check in with you a couple of times, but not overly so. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises. They had beach chairs, umbrella, beach wagons & beach towels for use so we did not have to rent anything. 100% satisfied

A real Gem!!

We stayed in this perfct gem and did not want to write a review. Why? Because others would see it! We simply did not want to share. Because of the Owner,, Suzann, we feel we must share this perfect place. The photos dont do it justice, it is very very spacious with the bedrooms on opposite ends and away from main gathering places.. The decor is nice and comfortable plus a little whimsical. Everything you want or need is here including all cooking items. The kitchen is very well appointed. Outside is gorgeous too. Not only are you steps to the beach, you are steps from the free Island Trolley. Talk about location! This lovely home is perfect in every way! We cant say enough about Suzann and her husband Frank.! The communication from Suzann is excellent and should you need something, the response is very quick. The outdoor pool/garden area is beautiful. The perfectly landscaped pool/garden area is lovely and inviting. it is all fenced in with a gate that locks from the inside so no one can come in. Everything you need for the beach is provided too. Suzann and Frank have not overlooked anything for their guests. We are very much looking forward to our return visit at the Tangerine House.

Awesome location, attractive exterior, needs an update

Anna Maria Island is an awesome vacation destination and the Tangerine House is a great way to enjoy it. Full marks for location, outdoor space and cleanliness but the house has been a rental for a number of years and needs some modest attention. We still enjoyed our stay and I would recommend it and would stay there again. Here's what I would change: 1. Beds - master off the pool has a topper on the mattress to extend the life but the bed is well past it's prime and really needs to be replaced. Replace the old queen with a new king and add new night tables and decent lighting for reading in bed. Only one night table when we stayed and lighting was very poor. The single mattresses in the den also need to be replaced. 2. Missing blinds - blinds are needed for privacy on the patio door in TV room off the master and in the bathroom off the den. There aren't any today and we felt exposed to the neighbour. 3. Televisions - We don't watch much TV but when it's dark at 6pm in December it would be nice to have somewhere where a family can watch a movie or show together. Current setup in the TV room has a small flatscreen set into an old TV cabinet and you can only see it if you sit directly in front of it. Time to remove the old cabinet and replace with a decent size TV that can be seen from anywhere in the big room. There's no TV in the master off the pool. 4. No Dishwasher - hard to fix this easily but when on vacation and with Covid we were trying to stay close to home and having a dishwasher would have been nice and who doesn't have a dishwasher? There was no plug for the sink, a dishpan wasn't provided and the drainboard wasn't pretty. 5. Other - some of the windows didn't lock, Anna Maria may be a low crime area but I like to know my family is secure. The doors to the den or study don't close, should be an easy fix to create privacy. House is pretty old and the showerhead in the tub in the main bathroom is quite low. None of the bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom, bathrooms are close but you have to leave the bedroom.

Adorable Beach Cottage

Location to the beach is awesome. Five minute walk tops! It is close to Gulf Drive so you do hear traffic at night. The home is well supplied and very clean. We enjoyed our week!

Attention to detail

We enjoyed our week at the tangerine house so much! The home was lovely and exceptionally clean. Our favorite part about the experience is as how attentive Suzann was and all of the special little touches she added. We use VRBO often and this is the first time it has felt so personable and warm and it’s all because of her kindness and consideration to our needs and comfort during our stay.

Perfect Location

The Tangerine house was perfect for us. My wife and I loved the quick walk to the beach and our 2 teenage daughters enjoyed the pool. Would highly recommend!!! Also, the owner is very accommodating and easy to get in touch with.

Much to say about the Tangerine House

We found the Tangerine House to be as described and much more. Well appointed kitchen, comfortable bed, and 5’ deep pool with plenty of seating. We spent most of our time in the sparkling pool. The house has a personal beach decor and many interesting touches. Beach chairs, umbrella, wagon, large coolers do plenty of towels. Suzann is attentive to all details. She is most responsive to text and even came by to check on us. Walk to the beach is two minutes, trolley stop is a block over, and Bean Point is 1.8 miles. The Sandbar restaurant is less than a mile. The bedding is dry cleaned between guests, cleaning is immaculate. There is no dishwasher or ice maker, so make certain to buy a bag of ice when grocery shopping. We are planning a return stay already. Thanks Tangerine House, we loved our stay.

My family and I had such a wonderful vacation staying in the Tangerine House! The house was exceptionally clean, the perfect size for our needs, well cared for, and in the perfect location. Close enough to local shops and restaurants, and a very short walk to the beach. The hosts were fantastic and so kind to make sure we were well taken care of. We appreciated the personal touches around the property, as well as having a cooler, wagon, and umbrella for the beach. We look forward to returning in the future!

Great Location

Just one short block to the beach.. this was perfect for my teen daughter and me. Owners are very responsive.
