Very relaxing trip.

This is the first time we have stayed in Longboat Key. Loved the area and walking on the beach. Everyone was very friendly.

Great place to stay!

Property is right on the water with beautiful views from the balcony. The lounge chairs on the beach made the experience even better. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We will be back!

Great Condo on a BEAUTIFUL Beach!

We very much loved our stay in this condo and would absolutely book it again ... I think it must have the best view of the beach of any condo on the property. Everything in the condo is as described, convenient to grocery and restaurants, and steps from the most gorgeous beach ever -- we can't wait to return!

Beautiful location for relaxing vacation

Lovely condo and property. Bedrooms and baths are a tad smaller than they appear in the photos but the amazing views in the rest of the condo made up for it! Condo was great, beds were comfortable, kitchen was really well stocked and the fact that the property provided lounge chairs and umbrellas was an added bonus. We had a great time!

Great condo on a lovely beach

Our stay at Longboat Key was the escape we needed and this condo was a great place for us to stay. The restaurant suggestion list was greatly appreciated. Next time I will bring a small drying rack as the washers and dryers, though free, are located by the office, not in the condo.

Paradise

Our condo could not have been more of a delight. Incredible views, fully stocked with everything we could need and totally clean and updated. I don't know that we could ever go back to any other unit! What a delightful way to spend a week. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Relaxing Vacation

Only one wish- an umbrella in a separate stand (not in the table) so one could sit out on the balcony in the later afternoon and have some shade.

Great property

Such a great unit. Wonderful space - clean , excellent bathrooms/towels, kitchen utensils. One amazing detail which really impressed us. We brought a deflated soccer ball with us to kick around and the unit even Had a ball pump with needles. It was a great service as we thought we'd have to run to a store. We loved it there and of course views are amazing at sunset and really all day. Thanks!

This is our 2nd year at Sand Cay but 12 year coming to Longboat key.Sand Cay is good for us at this time in the fall, not busy and easy to get around.The staff are particularly nice and always helpful. Sand Cay

When we first arrived the air conditioning was not working, however, the office staff had someone out within the hour to fix it. The unit was nice and the view was breathtaking. I would definitely stay in this unit again. The only bad is there is no washer and dryer in the unit but there is an on sight laundry facility that is free to use and no one messes with your laundry.

Wonderful time with family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our rental experience was good. I will say compared to my other family members units they rented, this condo is dated. The decor is very simple. Although the bathrooms had been redone and were very nice, everything else fairly dated. Could be a lot more cheery and elegant with an updated kitchen and nicer furniture and accessories. Just to know...you can not change your reservation 30 days before. I had to shorten my stay from 7 nights to 6 nights and was unable to do this. So I lost that night monies.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We accidently came across Sand Cay Beach Resort when searching for spring break options. We researched the area a little and it seemed like a good fit for our family of 4. Once we arrived, the view from unit 302 was amazing! We could not have been more pleased with the direct view of the gulf and beach area. The beds and bathrooms were good and comfortable. We had enough kitchen supplies to make what we needed to. I would recommend that the dishwasher get updated as we had a few dishes that didn't look to be fully cleaned. The resort as a hole was friendly, welcoming and guests were kind. Very impressive experience here and we'd recommend it to others.

Gorgeous views of LBK Beach

We have enjoyed staying at Sand Cay in the past. This was our first time in this condo. It was beautiful. The views of the beach and sunset were stunning from the patio. A bunch of windows in the TV area felt like you were not missing a moment of the beach. The condo had everything we needed. Only because we stayed at a different unit that had the washer and dryer in the unit, I assumed this one would as well but it doesn't. It is just a walk to the pool area for the washer and dryer. Which was fine but good to know. I think I might have personally missed that in the description. Sand Cay is a great location to stay. We saw a huge turtle on the beach laying her eggs. My nephew caught a black tip shark. Saw Manatees and dolphins right off the beach. Can't beat this Longboat area. Thanks we will be back.

Unfortunate

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unfortunately, the cleanliness of our unit this year was not where it should have been. I travelled with two children a 4 years old and a 8 week old. My 4 year olds feet were extremely dirty from the floors in the unit. Bathrooms had grime that could be removed built up around the faucets, and the kitchen had a bad bug issue. We had ants everywhere, including in items that needed to be sanitary for our baby. We also had a large cockroach that showed up. Was hoping that was just a fluke considering it’s Florida but just did not make me feel any less stressed about my family staying there. I wiped down the countertops with a Lysol wipe and it did help which just proved how poorly the kitchen was cleaned. I will say, I did not approach management with this issue. I figured the only thing they would do is spray and I did not want to have the chemicals sprayed while we were staying with a newborn. They are usually so lovely but this just was a general cleanliness issue. We stayed in the same unit 2 years in a row and were just so disappointed and stressed about cleanliness this year. Just did not feel up to the Sand Cay standard.
