Please do NOT book a reservation before confirming that your desired time period is available with me. To check on my availability look under where it says "Request To Book" and just below that you will see "Contact Host". Click on Contact Host and then send me your requested dates by sending me a message in the "Message The Host" area. My condo is a timeshare subject to the availability at my timeshare company. I own several weeks at this resort and I also pre-reserve several weeks during peak whale season, since it is the most popular timeframe to go. I look forward to hearing from you.
I have references all over the USA and in Maui if anyone is interested, I would be more than happy to send you guests names and phone numbers.
I live on the mainland and have visited Maui enough to become an expert! My 37-page custom travel guide has assisted many guests and friends in planning their trips with resounding feedback and I am willing to assist anyone. I am sure some visitors have left Maui disappointed by the fact that they went to visit one of the State Parks and were unable to enter because they didn't have reservations. My condo at Kahana Beach Resort has the finest view in all the Hawaiian Islands and is located in West Maui. West Maui is the #1 location in Maui and incorporates Lahaina, Kaanapali, Kahana, Napili, & Kapalua. In addition, my condo has central A/C, and a 6 1/2 block long beach 1-minute out your door for your ocean activity or romantic beach stroll.
If A/C is important to you, know that 50% of all listings have NO A/C or inadequate window or portable units. If a good ocean view is important, know that 80% have either no ocean view, or a sliver of a view. Only 20% have either a full or partial view. If the first picture you see of a property is not an ocean view, then the unit is probably not oceanfront. The building/complex/resort may be oceanfront, but your view may not. If a beach is important to you, know that 85% do not have a beach for ocean activities or a beach stroll, and 65% of all listings require a 5-minute walk or longer to get to a beach.
I say the finest view and not just Maui; in ALL of Hawaii, so I will justify it. All the islands are volcanic, so they are all mountainous. Almost anywhere on any island if you are looking at the ocean, you need to turn around and look behind you to see the mountains. This is not the case for a 10-mile stretch in West Maui, from Lahaina to Kapalua. Looking out in the ocean are the islands of Lana'i left and Moloka'i right. Both islands are 10 miles from West Maui’s western shore, giving you a mountain and ocean view at the same time. It is this magical location where you can sit on your lanai and have an ocean, mountain, and sunset view at the same time. There is no other place in all of Hawaii with this type of view. It is utterly amazing and something you will never forget. I challenge anyone to identify a finer view in the Hawaiian Islands.
From my lanai, you have 180-degree unobstructed ocean view, whales (in season), sunset, mountains, & Green Sea Turtles. Stargazing at night is amazing! My resort is rated 4/5 stars, for the breathtaking and magical views and impeccable maintenance of the property.

The Filter beachfront in VRBO is worthless! Listed directly above the main property description line VRBO displays the distance to the beach. Mine indicates "On the Beach!"
WHALE SEASON is mid-Nov until mid-May with the peak being Jan, Feb & Mar. The view from your lanai incorporates more than 75% of the National Humpback Whale Sanctuary in Hawaii. A map of this Federal Sanctuary is my 2nd photo.
In whale season, sit on your lanai and watch whales with your naked eye. I recommend a good set of binoculars. Coffee in the morning & cocktails in the evening on your lanai. Spend it looking at a garden, parking lot, the building next door or my AMAZING Ocean, Mountain & Sunset view.
The fire in Lahaina is heart wrenching! Don't worry, Lahaina represented 5% of any reason to visit Maui. My travel guide will help you experience the other 95%. Maui is the #2 Island travel destination in the world, and is the #3 overall travel destination. The #1 island is the South Island of New Zealand, and they drive on the left side.
REMEMBER - the Department of Transportation requires airlines give customers either the opportunity to put a ticket on hold for 24 hours before purchasing, or provide at least 24 hours after booking a flight to cancel without penalty even on a non-refundable ticket.
My condo is a studio. Murphy beds are GONE! All studios now have standard queen size beds and a queen foldout couch to accommodate 4 people. Kahana Beach Resort (KBR) also goes by the name KBR Vacation Club & KBR Condominiums (4221 Lower Honoapiilani Rd). The designation condominiums is appropriate from the aspect of having all the amenities of your home, in being able to eat, sleep & cook.
COST ALERT! It is refreshing to see that VRBO is now including all fees in the published nightly rates. VRBO does not include the Hawaii tax which is approximately 19%. Add 19% to the published VRBO price and this will give you your approximate total cost.

A WORRY-FREE STAY. Your Safety & Comfort are #1! There is a difference between renting my Condo and someone who maintains their own property or outsources a service. The units in my building are maintained 365 days a year by Soleil Management Company (SMC) and have ON-SITE assistance 24/7. Just like your home, things will break. With a daily maintenance staff, if something breaks, they will fix it as soon as humanly possible. I am available 24/7 if you want my personal attention. Your concerns should never go unaddressed!
I pay SMC to see that every item in my unit is clean, in working order, and patrolled by security personnel 24/7. You have an unlimited supply of beach towels or any other towels, just for the asking. The front desk is open 10 or 14 hours a day. Sands of Kahana next door is a sister resort staffed 24/7. Pressing zero on your phone will connect you with someone.
NOT JUST MAINTENANCE. Tropical destinations are subject to uninvited guests none of us want in our home. Regular scheduled preventative measures are taken to see that you are alone on your stay. Avoid staying at any ground level rentals. I always request my guests stay on floors 3 through 12 with 100% success.
The photos you see are my wife and I, our family, and friends. My hope is that every guest takes home memories equal to ours.
With real estate, it is all about Location-Location-Location. With my condo it is all about Location-Location-Location & View-View-View.
Washers & dryers on several floors in the building. Ice machine on the 7th floor. The Sands of Kahana next door has a restaurant open to everyone.
A 7-minute drive south of Kahana Beach is Kaanapali & Whalers Village which offer a wide array of restaurants and shops. Another 7-minutes south is Lahaina which was destroyed by a fire in 2023.
You can get a deal on accommodations in Kihei or Maalaea where you are not close to see or do anything and waste every dime you spent visiting Maui. Shopping & dining choices are limited in this area. Look at my photomap on VRBO, only 3 things near that area.
If you don't know anything about Maui, the best place to stay is WEST MAUI, incorporating Lahaina, Kaanapali, Kahana, Napili & Kapalua all of which have a Lahaina mailing address. To find places in West Maui, do the following in VRBO.
On "Going to" enter "Lahaina, Hawaii." On FILTERS scroll down to "Price" and adjust your price to the total you would like to pay which includes the average 12.5% VRBO fee but not the Hawaii tax. Scroll to "Features & Amenities" & select Air-conditioning. Scroll to the bottom & select done. At this point, I focus on photos and traveler reviews.
RENTAL ALERT: Several websites rent units in my building. None of these websites tell you or show you the building is L-shaped. Every floor has 5 oceanfront units seen in most photos and 2 units on the side of the building. The units on the side of the building are assigned to anyone who is NOT a timeshare owner at Kahana Beach Resort. Oceanfront units have a 180-degree ocean view. In a side unit you have a direct view into the Sands of Kahana Resort units & a 40-degree ocean view to your left. This is the view you may get if you rent from another website. It seems a little deceptive to only show the oceanfront units in photos, leading people to believe this is where they will be staying.
