As you enter into the first floor, views of the water through two sets of French doors draw your eye across the comfortably furnished living room. Cathedral ceilings with exposed wooden beams and a commanding stone fireplace lend a rustic vibe to the space. Settle on the sofa to stream the big game on the wall-mounted smart TV or plan the next day's adventures.

The galley-style kitchen offers plenty of counterspace and everything you need to whip up a favorite family recipe or some locally sourced seafood. The wooden dining table seats four, and an additional three barstools are available at the adjacent breakfast counter.

When it's time to retire for the evening, you'll find each bedroom is furnished with a TV for personal entertainment, so there's no need to alter bedtime routines. The first two bedrooms are tucked under the staircase on the first floor and share access to a hall bathroom with a step-in shower stall. Each offers a queen bed, and both provide direct access to the front deck.

At the top of the stairs, an open loft arranged as a second sitting area beckons you to settle down on the chaise lounge with a good book. The second bathroom has a standard tub/shower combo and opens into the loft. To the right, the final bedroom complete with a queen bed offers a cozy hideaway to rest and relax after a day filled with fun.

Off the living room, a sturdy outdoor dining table seats six for meals under the stars on the back deck, which offers direct access to the backyard. An enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water is the perfect spot to rinse off after a day spent on the water. Gather around the firepit in the evenings for 'smores and stories, or grill up the catch of the day on the provided gas grill.

A fish cleaning station is conveniently located on the private floating dock, along with a variety of seating and even a ceiling fan for your comfort. (Please note that the pictured boat lift is not available for guest use and that guests may moor their boats to the dock at their own risk).

When you're ready to hit the sand, a short three-minute drive straight down NE 40th Street takes you to Oak Island's gorgeous beach, with public parking available at the end of almost every street. At a distance of less than a mile from your front door to the surf, however, you may choose to leave the car in the driveway and walk along the quiet tree-lined street instead. When you're ready for a break from the waves, explore all Oak Island has to offer from your convenient location between both bridges, just minutes away from dining, shopping and nightlife.
