With 158 feet of private, sandy waterfront, and TWO lakes to explore, you’ll enjoy tranquil lake views, peaceful mornings with coffee by the shore, and unforgettable sunrises in a truly picturesque setting. Lake Eleanor is no-wake, while the connected lake, Birch Lake, is full-rec.

Inside, the cabin features a warm and inviting atmosphere with thoughtful updates throughout, including a refreshed kitchen that makes preparing meals after a day of adventure a breeze. Step outside to a spacious yard that invites relaxation, outdoor games, or evenings gathered around the fire—surrounded by nature and far removed from the stresses of everyday life.

Outdoor enthusiasts will feel right at home. The property sits directly on snowmobile trails in winter and offers excellent fishing and scenic hiking opportunities nearby year-round. Bring your pontoon, fishing boats and jet skis; the lakes are perfect for all kinds of fun! There is even a private boat launch right at the house. Whether you’re casting a line, exploring forested trails, or simply soaking in the quiet, this is a place to slow down and reconnect.

Conveniently located just 5 minutes from Land O’ Lakes and 20 minutes from Eagle River, you’ll have easy access to dining, shopping, and local attractions—while still enjoying the privacy and tranquility that make the Northwoods so special. Beautiful peaceful vacation home

This whole was charming and cozy with a beautiful lake view and peaceful surroundings. Loved everything about it and had fun kayaking and paddle boarding around the lake. Would definitely visit again!!

Peaceful stay

We had a very relaxing week at the Lazy Loon cabin! We especially loved kayaking both lakes, and bonfires in the evening. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely lovely and perfect in every way! The only thing I would have changed would be to stay here longer. We loved the little touches like the loon cribbage board and all of the restaurant tips in the welcome book. Highly suggest staying here if you are coming to the Northwoods!!

A Little Slice of Northwoods Heaven

We had a wonderful stay at the Lazy Loon! The cabin is beautifully decorated and has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We especially enjoyed having the kayaks and paddle boat available, and the fishing was fun, too. Sunrises were beautiful over the lake...just such a quiet & peaceful place. We enjoyed the daily visits from a few does and their babies. The cabin has everything you need to prepare meals "at home" if you aren't feeling like heading into town to one of the local supper clubs. We enjoyed relaxing around the fire pit & soaking in the lake view and sounds of the Northwoods. There was plenty to see & do in the area...Bond Falls & the Conover-Phelps Trail to name a few. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely love to return.

Quiet, relaxing, secluded, and charming! We loved kayaking on both lakes during the day and enjoying the very nice fire pit and adirondack chairs at night. Beds were comfortable, cabin was very clean, furnishings were a great balance of modern and traditional, and location perfect - very remote but still short driving distance to groceries and restaurants. Saw a family of deer stroll through several times and heard the loons from time to time. The well water wasn't an issue as the hosts were thoughtful enough to have a filtered pitcher in the fridge and even a filtered ice maker on the counter. Overall a wonderful and affordable cabin on a private lake that I would recommend to others.

Lazy Loon Cabin is a must!

This cabin has the “cute older cabin” charm with beautiful updates. We did not need for anything. The kitchen is fully equipped and appliances are brand new! Very cozy and lots of wildlife. Can’t wait for our next visit.

We’re Alex and Chloe, and we’re so excited to share our family’s special place in the Northwoods with you. We live in the Milwaukee area with our three-year-old son and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our daughter.

Land O’ Lakes has always held a special place in our hearts—especially for Alex, who has been coming to this area his entire life. Owning a lakeside cabin here has long been a dream, and bringing this space to life has truly been a labor of love. We’ve poured a great deal of care and hard work into creating a comfortable, inviting retreat, and we’re grateful to now share it with others. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do and help us take care of it so it can be cherished for years to come.

For us, this cabin is a place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy all the Northwoods has to offer—from quiet mornings by the water to days spent exploring the woods and nearby lakes. Our hope is that you’ll feel right at home here and come to love this beautiful area as much as we do.
