Acerca de este alojamiento

Sea Glass House - Atlantic Beach and Hannah Park!

Welcome to Sea Glass House + Seahorse Studio — your basecamp for Northeast Florida's most remarkable natural playground, with space for up to nine guests across two fully independent units.

Some groups want to vacation together without living on top of each other. A family where the grandparents want their own space. Friends who share adventures but value a private retreat to come home to. Two couples who want a shared kitchen and living room but separate sleeping quarters. This property is designed for exactly that — two complete, self-contained units on one property, each with its own private entrance and smartlock, that happen to be perfect together.

I'm Faye, your host. I discovered this neighborhood the way the best things tend to happen — unexpectedly. I fell in love with it as my first home in Jacksonville: the quiet streets, the proximity to one of Florida's most extraordinary parks, the feeling of being genuinely close to nature without giving up any comfort. I poured care into every corner of both spaces, and I hope you feel that the moment you walk in.

One mile from your front door sits Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park — and if you haven't heard of it, you're about to understand why locals guard it like a secret. This is not a typical Florida beach park. Hanna Park is 447 acres of rare, intact coastal hammock, one of the last of its kind on Florida's heavily developed Atlantic coast. It has 1.5 miles of pristine Atlantic beach, including The Poles, widely recognized as the premier surf break in all of Northeast Florida. It has over 20 miles of mountain bike trails ranging from wide, flat family paths to the legendary named trails — Grunt, Misery, Tornado Alley — that draw serious riders from across the region for sanctioned races.

There's a 60-acre freshwater lake open for kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and pedal boating with rentals available on-site, a 9-hole disc golf course, a kids' splash pad, and wildlife viewing of over 200 bird species, alligators, foxes, and sea turtles nesting on the beach from May through October. Unlike the manicured beach towns a few miles south, Hanna Park still feels genuinely wild — majestic oaks, boardwalks over protected dunes, and the sound of the ocean and nothing else.

The Sea Glass House is the primary gathering space for the full group. The kitchen is well equipped and genuinely functional, with granite countertops, a gas range with double oven and built-in air fryer, a Keurig coffee station stocked with starter supplies, a Ninja blender, and complete cookware, dishes, and dining essentials. The living room is generous and social, with three fold-out couches and smart TV. The sunroom overlooks the private fenced yard and naturally becomes a favorite for morning coffee or evening wind-down. Two dedicated workspaces — one in the king bedroom and one in the shared living area — both with high-speed internet support real remote work.

The Sea Glass House has earned its name honestly. Like sea glass, it started as raw material and became beautiful through time and attention. Every room has been curated with unique antiques, whimsical original artwork, and design choices that reward a closer look. The room guests can't stop talking about is the solarium — a glass-enclosed sanctuary with a hanging egg chair and light that shifts throughout the day in ways that feel almost cinematic. Two proper bedrooms with memory foam beds and dual pillow options — down for those who love to sink in, cooling gel for those who run warm. Premium linens and smart TVs throughout.

The Seahorse Studio is the private retreat within the group — a fully independent unit with its own entrance, its own smartlock, and no shared interior spaces with the main house. A comfortable queen bed, kitchenette with mid-size refrigerator, two-burner cooktop and microwave, 44-inch smart TV, high-speed wifi, and a bathroom that genuinely surprises — an oversized shower with dual shower heads that delivers a spa-like experience you wouldn't expect. The whimsical seahorse wallpaper gives it its own coastal character distinct from the main house. Whoever stays in the Seahorse has complete independence — they can come and go on their own schedule without coordinating with the rest of the group.

To move between units, guests step outside — the Seahorse Studio does not connect to the Sea Glass House through an interior passage. The private fenced yard is accessible from outside and serves as the natural gathering point between the two spaces.
The full property sleeps nine — a king and queen in the Sea Glass House, a queen in the Seahorse Studio, and three fold-out couches in the main house living area.

The property is genuinely pet-friendly with a private fenced yard. Nightly pet fees of $5 per pet apply and are billed separately. Pets require prior approval.

The property sits in a quiet residential neighborhood one mile from Hanna Park, three miles from Atlantic Beach's dining corridor, four miles from Neptune Beach and the Beaches Town Center, and eight miles from Jacksonville Beach. Mayport Village — one of Florida's oldest communities and home to some of the freshest shrimp you'll ever eat — is just minutes away. For military families, Mayport Naval Station is two miles and NAS Jacksonville is eight miles. The Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve is essentially adjacent. Big Talbot Island State Park, with its hauntingly beautiful driftwood-covered shores, is 20 miles north. Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach's historic district are 25 miles.
Both units arrive stocked with starter essentials including coffee, creamer, sugar, dish soap, hand soap, and paper goods. Washer and dryer access is included for stays of seven nights or more. The garage is not included.

Climate controls are set within reasonable ranges — cooling no lower than 70 degrees and heating no higher than 74 degrees. Check-in is after 3pm via smartlock to both units. Checkout is by 10am. Maximum occupancy is nine guests.

There are plenty of places to stay near Jacksonville's beaches. Most of them are fine. This property is something different — two homes that were genuinely loved, with a point of view, sitting at the doorstep of one of Florida's most underrated natural areas. If your group wants to mountain bike in the morning, surf in the afternoon, and come home to a beautiful space at night — with just enough independence between you — this is your place.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Hanna Park is one of Florida's most extraordinary and least-known outdoor destinations — 447 acres of rare coastal hammock, the premier surf break in Northeast Florida, over 20 miles of mountain bike trails, a 60-acre freshwater lake, disc golf, wildlife, and sea turtle nesting season from May through October. This property puts you one mile from all of it, across two fully independent units designed for groups who want to vacation together without living on top of each other.

This is a property that was genuinely loved. I lived in the Sea Glass House as my first Jacksonville home and designed it the way I wanted to live — with a glass-enclosed solarium for quiet mornings, real workspaces for people who need to stay productive, a kitchen you can actually cook in, and a private fenced yard where pets can decompress after a day on the trails or the water. The curated antiques and original artwork reflect real attention rather than a rental checklist.

The Seahorse Studio adds something harder to find — a completely private retreat within the same property. Its own entrance, its own smartlock, its own bathroom with a spa-worthy dual-head shower, its own kitchenette and smart TV. Whoever stays there has full independence while remaining just steps from the rest of the group. Grandparents who want their own space. Friends who share adventures but value privacy at the end of the day. Two couples who want a shared gathering space but separate quarters. This property works for all of them.

Nine guests, three bedrooms, two fully independent living spaces, one remarkable park at the door.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

One mile from Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park's 1.5 miles of Atlantic beach and The Poles, Northeast Florida's most celebrated surf break — closer than almost any rental property in the area.

Over 20 miles of mountain bike trails ranging from family-friendly to expert-level, a 60-acre freshwater lake with kayak and bike rentals available inside the park, disc golf, fishing, and 200+ bird species — all within a single park, one mile away.

Two fully independent living spaces on one property — each with its own private entrance, smartlock, and complete living amenities — for groups who want to vacation together without sharing every moment. No interior connection between units means genuine privacy for whoever stays in the Seahorse Studio.

The Sea Glass House carries the group — a well-equipped granite kitchen, generous social living room, glass-enclosed solarium with hanging egg chair, private fenced yard, and two dedicated workspaces with high-speed internet. The Seahorse Studio provides the retreat — queen bed, kitchenette, and a spa-worthy dual-head shower that guests consistently describe as the unexpected highlight of a compact space.

Nine guests, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, one fenced yard, zero compromises on privacy between spaces.

Genuine pet-friendliness with a private fully fenced yard — not an afterthought, but a home actually designed around guests who travel with animals. Pets require prior approval.

Military-convenient location two miles from Mayport Naval Station and eight miles from NAS Jacksonville, with smartlock entry to both units suited to unpredictable travel schedules.

Both spaces arrive with genuine character — curated antiques, original artwork, and whimsical seahorse details that reflect real aesthetic choices rather than generic coastal decor.
