Magníficas vistas, ubicación remota, a sólo 5 millas de la ciudad! 2 dormitorios, (rey / rey), 1 casa de huéspedes de baño en la gran finca que bordea Perin's Peak.

El sueño de un excursionista: el Perin's Peak National Forest circundante ofrece numerosas excursiones con vistas absolutamente impresionantes de 360 ​​°. This is an awesome property and amazing owners. I would highly recommend booking. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was an easy drive to town, but also very private and relaxing.

The location is awesome—no one around except for the owner’s big house nearby. We met Bill, the owner, when we arrived. He was very nice and showed us around. His wife baked a loaf of bread and left it on the kitchen counter, and we ended up eating it all! We also saw a coyote and some deer on the property. We’ll definitely be back in the future.

Excellent hosts! Check-in was super easy with the owner meeting us to provide a quick orientation to the property. The space is very comfortable for our family of four and we really enjoyed playing horseshoes and just soaking in the views. It is a perfect spot to stay outside of Durango with it only taking 10 - 15 minutes to get downtown. We cooked a few nights and found the kitchen to be very well equipped. We would come back in a heartbeat and would recommend this property to friends and family!

Amazing views and a great stay

The photos do not do this house justice. The drive up from the valley to the home lets you know you are in for a treat. The views from the home across the valleys are amazing and the hosts were great. The proximity to Durango was perfect. Close enough to get into town in 10 minutes, but far enough away so you just hear the crickets at night.

This property is the perfect location to get away, but is still close enough to town when you’d like to go hopping or dine out. The mountains surround this beautiful property, and the owners are just up the way, ready to help with whatever is needed. When we accidentally locked ourselves out, they were right there to help us. They had even baked a loaf of homemade banana bread that was waiting for us when we arrived! There were so many places you could sit outside to enjoy the views. We saw deer, chipmunks, a variety of birds, and rabbits around the property. We also took breathtaking photos of the surrounding mountains, and the valley below. The house had everything we needed and the atmosphere was picture perfect. We plan to return again!

Great host great location

We really enjoyed our stay. Hosts were very responsive and the house was just what we were looking for. Great location. It is close enough to the city for quick trips and also secluded enough to feel like you’ve got a whole mountain to yourself.

Two old college friends exploring Durango area and local mountain scenery. Our stay was most enjoyable, actually one of the best maintained VRBO properties we have rented. Beautiful mountain home

Great house! Feels like home which is very different than many of the houses we stay in. So many are just corporate rental properties that provide the basics. Owners are very involved with making your stay memorable. Would definatly return if we are in the area again.

Incredible place with amazing hosts

The house and amenities were fantastic! The house and kitchen had everything you could need. Our 6 and 8 year old had the best time, there were kids books, toys, a horseshoe pit, and tons of space they could explore. The views are incredible from the balcony, the out door dining table, or exploring the land. Bill and Bonnie were the ultimate hosts! We can’t wait to go come back. If you are looking for a place to relax, be in nature, and close to town this is it. This was our favorite VRBO to date!

Perfectly charming home away from home

My wife and I stayed here for a week with our two sons (5 and 7), as a home base while we explored the surrounding areas: Durango, Silverton, Ouray, etc. Bill and Bonnie were amazing hosts, and the space itself was perfectly clean, maintained, and well-appointed. My family had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We ended our week wishing that we had more time to stay, and intending to find our way back in the future. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet, authentically "Rocky Mountain Colorado" place to call their home away from home.

A wonderful experience.

This is not just a place to stay, it’s an experience. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. It is nestled above the valley with unobstructed views of the buttes. Campfires, horseshoes, trails to hike that open into wilderness areas. Bill was knowledgeable and gave us instructions to get to beautiful hikes that were close by. The 4 star for cleanliness was due to one of the bedrooms had not been dusted and had a thick layer of dust. Otherwise it was very clean. We definitely want to come back!!!

If you want an "out of town" but close to town experience, this is it. Right at 5 mins to the heart of Durango, but you feel like you are 2 hrs out. Incredible views from the front and back areas and the firepit. Comfortable, clean and modern accommodations. And the host is the best! Very welcoming and friendly, and has great suggestions for things to do in the area. Great stay

Fantastic, Memorable, Safe and the Views!!!!

What can I say? Staying at this 75-acre estate was amazing and made our vacation in Durango even more memorable. The hosts are welcoming and are incredible people. We loved getting to know them. If you are like us and don't prefer to stay in the heart of touristy areas, you will love it. We saw deer, wild turkeys and heard so many birds chirping every morning. The views from every part of the property were AMAZING. We felt very safe and there was plenty of space to store our mountain bikes in the barn. The property is kept immaculate. The location is perfect and not very far from town. This was our home away from home. Definitely stay here! You will not regret it.

We found this home and property to be even better than the pictures and description. The mountain views were amazing, wildlife was plentiful and fun to see, the crisp air was refreshing and the home was well appointed and had everything we needed. The location was perfect; very secluded yet 5 mins to Durango. The hosts were friendly and gracious. We would highly recommend this property and we will definitely stay there again when in Durango.

Durango Retreat

My brother and I stayed at this lovely property for 3 nights while exploring Durango. It was the perfect place to come back to after a busy day. We found the home to be as advertised and equipped with everything we needed. It was great to be able to have a washer and dryer to use. Having two master suites with king beds was appreciated as well. The daytime views of the mountains, not to mention the nighttime show of stars, made it an unforgettable experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to stay there again in the future.

Perfect Private Cabin Outside Durango

This was a lovely home base for a weekend in and around Durango. The hosts are extremely friendly and inviting, though you very much have your own space. Great views and a great time! We look forward to returning.

Very quiet

Lovely get away. Awesome view, let me repeat that, awesome view! We hiked every day because that’s what we love to do. Close enough to town to eat out. The owner can give you lots of info on the area. Wish we could have stayed longer.
