El Gallo rústico Inn, ubicado en el Valle de las Animas, espera su llegada para una escapada de montaña indulgente. Despertarse con una bebida caliente en su terraza privada o relajarse en la bañera de hidromasaje grande extra después de un día lleno de aventura al aire libre.
Nuestra ubicación única le permite disfrutar de privacidad, fácil acceso a caminatas, ciclismo, paseos con raquetas de nieve, pesca y actividades en el río. El esquí y el trineo sólo 20 minutos. El centro de Durango, a sólo 10 millas de distancia, ofrece una variedad de restaurantes, tiendas y entretenimiento. Regresar a su hogar lejos de casa e instalarse en la puesta del sol con la vista en su totalidad alrededor de su pozo de fuego privada.

This is an awesome little place outside of Durango. It has absolutely everything you could possibly need. It is comfortable and homey. Martha is a lovely host and is a joy to be around. We can’t wait to stay again someday.

Remarkable rental

We’ve been renting in Durango across hotels, and vacation rentals for 10 years. This was one of two favorite places we’ve stayed. Martha has put so much thought into this place. The accommodations are top notch, it’s in a wonderful part of the valley, and the hosts are just the nicest people. We will definitely be back!

Awesome place

We enjoyed our stay at the Rooster. Martha was an awesome host. She made sure we were all set, came by when we first arrived and welcomed us and answered all our questions. The views are tremendous and only 15 minutes to town. Very relaxing stay with a great host in a prime spot. We’ll be staying there again.

My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay. We met Martha, the host upon arrival and we were quickly put at ease from the conversion we had. Comfort and great hospitality are top notch. There are great views of the surrounding mountains from the property. What else can you ask for on vacation, it was great!

Warm and Charming. Fully stocked. Game room was great!

We had a great time. Martha provided everything and the welcome drinks and snacks were perfect after traveling. The bed was very comfortable. The views from the patio were amazing. I would recommend to any couple.

Everything you need

Stupendous views! Visiting in late May, the land was green and temperate. We heard many beautiful bird songs we’d never heard before. The interior of the bunkhouse is carefully curated to provide you the most comfortable, homey stay possible. Skylights let you see the stars from bed as you fall asleep. Host is amazing, has thought of things you need and provided them before you even know you need them.

Cozy cabin with a personal touch!

This cabin was perfect for us in so many ways: The location with easy access to Durango as well as lots of hiking north of town, the porch with a beautiful view of the mountains, and most of all the amazing hospitality of the hostess, Martha! We have never stayed in a rental that felt so much like home…Martha thought of everything! Her personal touch and warm welcome will keep us coming back!

We didn’t want to leave..

Perfect surroundings, peaceful area near great biking and golf. Just far enough from town but easy access to all the fun Durango has to offer. Martha is a darling and provided lots of extras! Her place is well curated and she has thought of everything. We can’t wait to come back.

The whole thing!

We were staying for three nights to decompress from our Ohio-to-Moab, Four-Corners marathon drive. Martha and Terry provided the perfect location and setting for us to unwind and still visit the Mesa Verde National Park plus a jaw-dropping drive up the canyon to Silverton for lunch. We've been renting mountain homes for twelve years, and this one is the gold medal winner. Martha's expertise in interior decoration is top-notch. The ingress and egress is all paved blacktop, and the stars at night are a wonder to behold above seven-thousand feet. Couples should not miss this place.

Beautiful property, home, and owner! Pristine home. After a long road trip to Durango, I opened the refrigerator to find a wide variety of cold beverages. Since it was a warm day, Martha had the fans and AC on for us. The bed was very comfy. The surroundings are spectacular! Very peaceful. A few times a day you will hear the local steam and diesel trains on their journey to/from Silverton. Everything was first class! Martha's a gem. We really don't want to share this with anyone else so we can keep it our secret. :)

rustic rooster rocks

The homeowner is absolutely delightful. She respects her guests privacy. The home is perfect for one couple in an especially romantic setting. It’s professionally decorated and furnished and fully equipped for comfort. A surprise bonus....the homeowner supplied all sorts of goodies to enjoy during our stay. Yum! Ten minutes or so from Durango, the location is incredibly peaceful. We couldn’t wait to be back “home” on the deck at the end of the day to mesmerize over the view of the red cliffs, the sunset and the two horses. We appreciate very much the tranquil spirit here and feel like we won the lottery. Thanks M. Pat and Jeff

Fantastic Experience!

My wife, son and 2 small dogs were on a 2 week vacation visiting all the National Parks in the state. We spent 4 nights here but wish we could have stayed for the entire 2 weeks! Martha was a very gracious host, welcoming and accommodating the entire stay. The cabin is very well stocked and the furniture and interior design is very well executed. The bed was very comfortable. The fully tiled shower and the claw foot tub were great amenities. The dishwasher was the quietest dishwasher we have ever used! The views from the deck were great as was the game room. We spent multiple nights playing pool, darts and Foosball. There is a fire pit and a deck we used in the mornings to admire the view and drink coffee. There was even a wild turkey the owners feed in the morning! Great location and even better hosts. This experience was by far the best time we have had at any previous cabin. The Rustic Rooster sets the bar high for future rentals. If you are looking in this area there is no better place to stay.

Its a gem

It is a really nice house that is very well kitted out. The host had thought of everything. It is in a beautiful place just out of town. Our Porch overlooked a private garden area. Its beautiful and quiet. Our dog loved the bison dog treats. There were lambs grazing in field next door. We loved it.

Rustic Rooster Rocks!

This is our second stay and both times we’ve been very happy with the stay. Everything you need and more. Game room and hot tub are great. Lots of amenities, with snacks provided.
