Excellent beachfront stay

We had a great week in this one bedroom beachfront apartment. It has recently been refurbished and everything was sparkling clean. A great location, and a great accommodation. We will be happy to return again in the future.

Clean Condo with great Ocean view and close to town

Unit was as pictured. Excellent location right on the beach and 2 minute walk to downtown Carlsbad. Manager communicated to us in timely manner. Some furniture, namely the couch, could be more comfortable, but overall unit was reasonably comfortable and well stocked. We went on Food tour early in our stay which we would recommend, good information on town and food choices.

Great property right near the beach.

A great place in a great location and a very attentive owner. Only complaint is there was a lot of construction going on around that wasn’t mentioned. Otherwise perfect!

Our stay at the Ocean Villas

We have been spending our vacations for the last few years at Ocean Villas and always enjoy our stay. The facility is well kept. It is right on the beach and the property personnel are very pleasant. Fantastic sunsets in November.

Pure Bliss

My husband, myself & Our Marine Son stayed in Rental F - We had an amazing time & we relaxed to the sounds of the Ocean the entire time we were there - Our son is on standby to be deployed, so ANYTIME we have time to spend quality family time with our son, you bet that we do! ;D ..... He enjoyed it just as much as we did. We will definitely be returning guest to this little hidden treasure

The perfect stay

I have been visiting this location since 1996. There have only been 3 owners during this time and all have been wonderful. You can't beat the location and the view. My children have grown up during the years and we still visit this place. Now we have grand children that go with us. The employees are the best. They are helpful and very nice. The room is immaculate and has everything one would need to have a great stay. It is a quite place with some great beaches and the town and restaurants are within walking distance.. I hope to continue to come back for many time more. My hat is off to the the new owners and what they have done with the property. Keep up the good work.

Absolutely Perfect

My wife and I booked Ocean Villas in Carlsbad for our honeymoon. I had been up the coast in SoCal before, but hadn't stayed in Carlsbad yet. From the reviews and the pictures, we gave this place a shot - and we are SO glad we did. The staff was super friendly, and it is in a perfect location for visiting other SoCal attractions (Disneyland is only an hour north, San Diego less than an hour south). The ocean view is simply beautiful and it made it a trip that we will remember forever. Carlsbad is a great town, with several great restaurants, shops, and a farmers market. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone heading to California looking for a vacation/relaxing getaway. My wife and I look forward to heading back there soon!

taken care of , spectacular views ocean front

We recently stayed at Apt H at Ocean Villas . What a world class location ! We were one short flight of stairs up from the sand . We enjoyed the incredible views and tranquility , truly a slice of heaven . You should be advised that it is an older building , but it is clear the management is updating with marble counters , new flooring and furniture . It is also clear that this is a family owned business . They were very responsive when we had a problem . All in all , I highly recommend it !

Fantastic!

My wife and I have stayed here for five consecutive years. Each visit lasted four to six weeks. This property is located directly on the beach. In addition, it is ideally located: within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, bike/surf rentals, farmers market and entertainment. Each unit has been fully redecorated over the past year, giving them a light and appealing ambience. Each kitchen is fully equipped -- we have learned that we don't need to bring any additional kitchen accessories. The new owners have furnished each unit with new outdoor BBQs and firepits and the propane is included! Wi-Fi is also included at no additional cost. Management and staff are friendly, attentive, and competent. During our recent extended stay we were fortunate to see many whales and dolphins, also seals.

Loved our stay at Ocean Villas! Exactly as described and shown in the pictures. Perfect!

Our family of four fit perfectly in this cozy place ON THE BEACH right off the Village of Carlsbad. We had a three day stay (it was a last minute booking) over Memorial Day weekend and everything was perfect. The full kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed for our stay and was great for being able to stay put and not have to go out to eat. The bedroom was huge and we loved the nice touch of the comfy robes supplied. The back patio had great views and the kids really liked being able to have a small fire (there's a fire pit) in the evenings when it gets a little chilly. Many places in the area don't have dedicated parking, and you have to circle a bit to find a space, but Ocean Villas has garage parking for all their units - which is a bonus! Would DEFINITELY highly recommend (and have to family and friends) and stay again (we are already booked for another stay this year)!

An Excellent Getaway with a Gorgeous View

My husband and I stayed here with our toddler over our October break. The price was just right and even though it was off season, the weather was warmer than when we had visited in June. I knew the rooms were ocean front, but I was just blown away at the view and how close we were to the water. The girls at the front were friendly and accommodating and everything went very smoothly. The garage parking was a plus, albeit a bit tight to get in and out. The kitchen was well stocked (had to borrow the neighbor's bottle opener though!). The bed was large and my son slept on the cot comfortably. We used the grill one night and the kitchen a few times which saved on going out every day. There was a mix of families and older couples, and nobody was rowdy or disrespectful. The beach toys and chairs were always available and were and excellent amenity. We walked to breakfast and dinner a few times, as well as the downtown area and drove to Legoland. We will be back here again. We absolutely loved it. I miss having a glass of wine with the firepit and watching the sunset.

Best Views and Location in Carlsbad

We loved this place and have stayed here twice in the past year. All of the rooms are enormous! Not a hotel room, it's a condo with a huge balcony with a fire pit and grill of your own. Very clean. Right on the sand. They have lots of toys for the beach. We are trying to stay here this 4th of July in the bottom floor which is the best room. This place goes quick and no wonder. I live in Oceanside and take staycations here because we love it.
