THE ORCA BEACH HIDEAWAY ES UNA CASA PRIVADA DE 3 DORMITORIOS CON AMPLIAS VISTAS A LAS MONTAÑAS OLÍMPICAS Y AL ESTRECHO DE JUAN DE FUCA. Esta casa aislada de la isla de San Juan ofrece una bañera de hidromasaje, un sendero a una hermosa playa de arena (rara en las islas de San Juan), un gran patio cubierto de hierba y una envoltura alrededor de la cubierta, una estufa de leña y una mesa de ping pong. La ubicación especial de esta casa ofrece la observación de la fauna marina desde la casa, el jacuzzi y el gran patio. Disfrutarás de increíbles amaneceres y puestas de sol, y posiblemente experimentarás la natación de las ballenas, ¡lo cual es casi diario durante los meses de verano!

La cocina está totalmente equipada con electrodomésticos de acero inoxidable y una cocina de gas Viking. La cocina está abierta al comedor y sala de estar con grandes ventanales con vistas al mar. El nivel principal de la casa tiene 2 dormitorios, cada uno amueblado con camas tamaño queen. La suite principal del piso superior está amueblada con una cama tamaño queen y tiene un balcón con vistas al agua y un baño principal contiguo. También hay una cuna y una cama para niños pequeños disponibles en la planta superior para aquellos con niños pequeños.

El nivel inferior de la casa ofrece entretenimiento: mesa de ping pong y televisor de pantalla plana con servicio de satélite. Esta casa también ofrece internet inalámbrico.

We enjoyed the hot tub and wildlife watching from the house. We even saw a few whales! Plenty of cooking supplies for us to have fabulous dinners at the house. A quick drive to downtown Friday Harbor as well.

Magnificent views at any time of day and a short walk from the amazing National Park and site of US fort on the island. House is minimalist but has everything you need. Friday Harbor is close by for restaurants and Roche Harbor a pretty drive across the island.

We enjoyed the hottub every morning while watching the ocean. We took walks down to the beach. We found the "secret" entrance to the hiking trails at the end of the street. We especially enjoyed the wild life trail through the property. We saw River Otters, raccoons, deer,Bald eagles and few Orcas. The ping pong table kept us quite busy. I have to mention the well appointed kitchen. Especially the Wolf stove was fantastic. I one thing I missed was a TV on the main floor.

Great San Juan retreat

We had plenty of room for 7-8 people, a good sized kitchen for making big dinners, the nearby cove to explore on walks, and great views to enjoy all day. We also got to see the resident fox and otter!

Threadbare house, incredible view

Sincerely appaled by the positive reviews for this property. I'll be the first to say it, then: this home is a dirty overpriced disappointment. We knew this was an older home/ikea rental situation and chose to book it for the view. Everything was wiped down and serviceable, but considering the exorbitant cleaning fee, we expected a nicer stay. Everything felt a bit grimy and neglected. Baseboards peeling from walls with dust and bits of dead bugs, chipping and stained furniture, etc. The master bath jets were caked with mystery green grime, so no bath for baby. The house has no AC and one small slow ceiling fan. The master bedroom sliding door is inoperable so cooling down the upstairs is impossible in the evening. The house is in full sun all day, beware if you are booking during any weather above 75. The view is the best part, but trying to keep the house cool means window curtains drawn. The only outdoor furniture is two adirondak chairs, and they were so overgrown with grass and weeds they were unusable. The lawn was studded with spiky weeds and huge balls of lawn trimmings were dried and matted everywhere. The driveway entrance is overgrown so we couldn't safely pull our truck camper in to park without taking out huge branches. The host/company has a list of chores to do before you leave, absolutely greedy given how high the cleaning fee is. The dishes smelled foul. We would not stay here again, given the price with the cleaning fee we expected much better.

Orca Beach Hideaway

Reviewer Comments: We loved the location, within walking distance for hikes and beaches.The yard was large, the hot tub was terrific, hot and ready all the time. The kitchen was very well equipped. We saw orca whales swimming by the house. Two different fox came to visit in the evenings. We took full advantage of all the area has to offer: a short drive to both Roche Harbor and Friday Harbor to wander through the town and have something to eat, the Alpaca Farm, a whale watching tour and more. The house itself had plenty of room for our family of 6. We stayed a week, it was a wonderful experience!

Perfect Family Island Getaway

We stayed for four days with our family of 8. We have 6 kids ages 11 and under. The location of the Eagle Cove beach was wonderful. Extremely easy walk for all ages. It was also an easy drive to all island destinations. I originally was concerned about the cliff in the photo. If you have young children that wander or don’t listen, that might be stressful. Due to the ages of our children it was no issue. We loved the views, hot tub, outdoor eating area, games (monopoly was of course a hit), seeing the foxes and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfy and rooms were clean. The check out time would benefit from an 10:30 or 11am timing, which seems to be a consistent feedback from reviewers. We did appreciate that even though it said you’d get fined arriving before 4pm for check in, that we received a text that it was ready early. All in all we’d stay there again and recommend it to others. Thank you!

Amazing spot! Comfortable, clean home

We had a wonderful time here. The house was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and even had a really well seasoned cast iron skillet that was a joy to use. In other reviews, people mentioned the sparse decor, but for a family with small children, this was absolutely perfect. The house has a spectacular view and they have a telescope and binoculars there to use. We had a great time checking out the stars and the wildlife. While we were there we saw sea lions, a bald eagle family, and a whale! The property is right next door to eagle cove beach which was incredible. The path leading down to the water isn’t paved but was definitely manageable for our 2 year old and 3 year old. Overall, I’d highly recommend a stay here and we hope to be back in the future!

Love at First Sight

The American Camp next door provides endless paths to walk on. The house itself is lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed the ping pong table and jacuzzi. We even got a sighting of the beautiful red fox with the big bushy tail who came by the house looking for a little breakfast. Truly a treat and a home i would return to.

Great views

A bit Spartan but fabulous views. Practically no decoration in a huge home. Would have benefitted from directions on how to use the propane stove downstairs. Well equipped except for no TV on the main or second floors. Photos show a spotting scope but not there.

Every day was wonderful. Just walking up the stairs and looking across the strait to the olympic mountains would trigger a dopamine response. I can’t recommend it enough.
