We loved this house. The views of the marsh are so relaxing. My husband enjoyed catching crabs on the back dock and cooking them in the kitchen. The home itself was comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook family meals. It was a short walk to the beach. The outdoor shower made clean up easy. The area was quiet and peaceful. This was a perfect family vacation home.

We had a lovely time! The beach was so close and the access to the river and marsh was amazing. The house was clean and well set up. The Pawnee was super communicative and easy to work with. Thank you for such a great time.

I couldn't be happier with the property and location! The dock area is perfect for crabbing and catching a few fish, and the walk to the beach is very easy and just as described. The house is clean and very nice... perfect for a wonderful getaway!

We loved our stay at Om Away From Home. It's a birder's paradise, and the views are gorgeous. We enjoyed sunrises across the Delaware Bay and sunsets from the back deck overlooking Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge. There was easy access to Broadkill Beach just a few steps down the road. The entrance to Prime Hook NWR is a short drive away. Our visit was in May, so we saw so many warblers and all the shorebirds that stop here on their way north. The owner is responsive and accommodating. Highly recommended.

The views from the place were stunning. The house itself was beautifully decorated & full of sunlight. It was absolutely perfect for the relaxing weekend we were going for. We even had the beach to ourselves.

House was clean and nice looking. It's not the house for anybody that has problems with stairs. Lots of room inside and rear deck was enjoyable with expansive views of the nature preserve and sunsets. Lots of toys for both the kids and adults. Short walk to the beach but as stated by the owners, if the flies are present on the beach it could be a short stay there.For the cost we did not expect to run to Milton to get additional toilet paper and paper towels. The propane grill looks as though it has not been cleaned in a long time. The bed in the room next to the downstairs bathroom was very noisy and could use a better mattress.

Hi B, I'm so glad you and your group had a good stay at our home in Broadkill Beach. If anything isn't as it should be, I like to correct it. In that spirit, I contacted you directly to learn more. I was concerned that you didn't have enough TP and paper towels and thought maybe our cleaners made a mistake. But you said it was probably because you had 11 people staying in our home. Must admit, that was a bit of a shocker, since you listed 4 adults on your reservation. We hope you return, but in the future, please honor our max # of people permitted. And, by the way, we'll have a new mattress for the queen bed before next season :)

Great location, with short walk to the beach. Loved the views and the private dock. We did lots of bird watching and kayaking. The house had everything we needed to have a great family time week.

Lovely beach escape

We really enjoyed our week at the house, and took full advantage of the beautiful natural surroundings. It was well equipped with supplies for exploring and my family managed to snag a couple of crabs. Beach access was convenient and check in and out went smoothly.

Lovely, relaxing home

Bright & airy with lovely views. Very clean with tasteful and relaxing decor. We enjoyed bird watching on the back deck and strolling on the beach. We spent time at Cape Henlopen State Park, and took the ferry to Cape May just to enjoy the ride. It was a perfect retreat for us.

Peaceful, natural, casual, fun!

Great setting for a quiet, private, nature filled escape! Home is roomy and efficient, casual and comfy. Owners were very considerate and helpful -- kayaks and bikes available!

We had a wonderful week immersed in nature! The bird watching was first rate and the fishing was amazing. The wide open views at the back of the house were perfect and the very short walk to the beach just right. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. This quiet neighborhood away from the typical hustle and bustle and traffic of our past beach vacations was just what we needed. We'll definitely be back.

Whether you’re heading to the beach across the street or enjoying the marshes in the backyard, this home is an oasis all around! Interior is comfortable and homey, with lots of natural light. Would love to come back!

Lovely beach getaway

The house was perfect for our family of 6. Our 4 boys loved the dock out back where they could catch all sorts of creatures. The beach access was convenient and very few people were on the beach. This house had everything we needed.

Idyllic Beach Vacation

Amazing location with gorgeous views every direction you looked. The kitchen is by far one of the best equipped we have every stayed in which was good because we couldn’t pull ourselves away from the views to go out to eat. Candy was a dream to work with. This was our first trip to DE but won’ be our last.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house! The view from the back deck is truly unbeatable. We took the kayaks out along the marsh at sunset, wow!! The house has everything you need and is lovely and comfortable. The only thing to note is that the master bedroom has huge windows facing the sunrise and a skylight, so the room gets bright very early. Just something to be aware of - bring your sleep mask :-)
