Perfect location, steps from the beach. House is well loved, could use a few updates but we were there for the beach! Decks were great, lots of outdoor furniture. We really enjoyed our time with friends and family.

Great location on the beach!! Loved all the outdoor decks. Property manager was responsive and helpful. Lots of beds and so many hooks! Big outdoor shower too.

Great family fun

Perfect setting. Wonderful access to beach. House comfortable but furniture and linens a little worn. Kitchen very well stocked. When we arrived air was not working but repairman came very soon and all was well. Decks on each level were wonderful.

Will not rent this property again

Property is worn out and outdated.There were structural issues, all floors were uneven, which made it difficult for the older ones of us to keep our balance. There was condensation and fog between the panes in all of the windows, including the sliding glass doors. The cleanliness was not up to our standards. It was cleaner when we left than it was when we arrived. There are too many other negatives, so we'll tell you what we did like about the property. The location is perfect. We enjoyed the new deck areas, although rain guards were not installed under the upper level deck, so when it rained, we couldn't use the lower level deck without getting wet. We liked the outdoor shower which had the only shower wand of all the showers in the house even though it was outside. The kitchen countertops were very nice. Overall, we feel we didn't get the value for the amount we paid.

Wonderful beach vacation

The kitchen was very well stocked, enough dishes and flatware for several meals. Lots of pots, pans, bowls, and utensils. Hooks everywhere to hang damp towels and suits. Table big enough for 12 snuggly. Seating at bar for 4. We brought a card table and put it at the end to seat all of us. Loved the outdoor shower and foot washing station. Deck furniture was great. Rooms were comfortable and plenty of storage. Right on the beach with own access. Plenty of parking under the building. Located near shopping, restaurants, and water park.

Awesome Duplex

Let me start by saying Deanna, owner, was fantastic to work with. She is very quick to answer any questions you have about the property. The location is at the end of the road next to the public access but we did not have any problems with people encroaching on us. Our family rented both duplexes and the house directly across the street so there was a lot of us (27). The kitchen was well equipped. Had a regular coffee pot and a Keurig, although we did not see the Keurig until late in the week, that’s why I mention it. The beds were comfortable. The dining room table was really great for playing games at night. I think we all loved the deck the best. So wide with a table and 6 chairs on both sides, 2 rocking chairs and a 2 seater slider. The sliding door in the living room was hard to open but the sliding door in the dining room was easier so we used that one. We got some beautiful pictures of the sunsets. The beach was great and it is a short walk to the Sunset Slushy hut which was frequented daily! Opens at noon. Did our shopping mostly at Publix which is a nice grocery store. Good water pressure in all showers and the outdoor shower was an added bonus. We had between the two houses, 7 cars and a 17’ Carolina Skiff and there was plenty of room!! Amazing Duplex!! Would highly recommend. ❤️

Emerald Isle vacation.

Beach is beautiful but way too crowded. This house is right next to a condominium back parking lot. You are right on beach but main boardwalk right next to house. Nice places to eat that are close by. House Could have been cleaner. Overall I thought too much money for this house.

Needs updating

The house was ok but there were several things broke/didn’t work and almost everything (except the kitchen, that was beautiful!) needed some serious updating! Also there was NOTHING at the house, no games, no beach toys/equipment (which they did tell us before hand but hard to pack such things), no toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, or even hand soap. Also we had to purchase a lot of things like HDMI cords and extension cords to be able to get tvs and lights and things to work ( several outlets didn’t work at all) and there were no working lights on the back deck which made it difficult to enjoy that space after dark like we had hoped to. You are responsible for making (and stripping before leaving) your own beds, we were told by the maintenance man this is to save money on price to rent house but it was still a hassle after the long trip to get there to have to disperse linen/ towels and makes beds. And the decks had several loose boards and the railings did not feel secure and the wood was splitting so several people got splinters in their feet (we were told the decks are suppose to get done next yr but they were pretty concerning since we had little kids). Several of the doors didn’t even shut let alone lock, 2 of which were bedroom doors and the downstairs bathroom door (maintenance man came to do what he could by putting in slide locks but still a privacy concern). The fridge in the kitchen leaked inside the fridge all over the food and things that you put inside. That being said the maintenance man was very nice and came asap to attempt to fix issues like a loose fan and toilet. He arrived quickly and did his best to fix the problems and make us feel better but there wasn’t much he could do to alleviate our main concern areas. Likely would not stay here again even with the great prices. We enjoyed our vacation and appreciate the owners letting us come and enjoy their home. Great options for the price.

Wry nice for an older house. Perfect for our family of 7 adults and 2 children.

Well equipped and a few yards to the beach. Great views from all decks of the ocean and beach. Managers responsive to maintenance issues. We may be back in a year or so.

We enjoyed being directly on the beach! The house is older but we were comfortable. It held all of us without feeling crowded. The outside shower was a plus!

Best vacation ever!

Vrbo and owner were great to work with. Property is a little older but very clean. We loved being out the door and on the beach. There was plenty of linens. Property manager was very available. My whole family had a great vacation experience. Would go back here any time. Thanks.

The house was at an amazing location rooms were nice master beds need switched I ended up sleeping on a queen because the private bathroom. Cleaning company not so good the floors and bathrooms felt dirty that’s why we didn’t give 5 stars!

a badly needed getaway

We spent a wonderful 7 days at Latitude. Loved that the house was right on the ocean and near to dining and shopping. The house was roomy and comfy. Deanna was quick to any of my concerns which I appreciated.

Latitudes 8/2020

Nice location....best feature: the porch swing. Updated kitchen was nice. we only used three bedrooms.....loved hearing the ocean at night with doors closed! Slight lean to the house - I know cannot be helped, divots in upstairs hall (under the carpet) . Shared bath and downstairs bath could use updates. I've learned over the years to bring essential cooking items i.e., knives, pans, cutting board - wish i had my veggie peeler but kitchen was well stocked. Thanks for the getaway!

Much Needed Quarantine Break

My sister, two cousins and 13 year old son stayed for a week after months of quarantine. We got tested prior to coming since some of us was coming from Chicagoland where the Covid-19 was much more prevalent. The others were from very low infection areas. We ate in every night and brought everything with us. So this house was perfect because it was right on the beach and that is what we wanted- Beach Time!! We loved the house and the balcony where we could sit and listen to the ocean. The outdoor shower was very nice after all day at the beach to help get the sand and shells off you. We all partook every day. We would suggest some foam mattress toppers to make the beds softer those who want that and those who don't can simply not put it on the bed, as some of the beds were very hard. The only other suggestion would be check the kitchen staples like can openers work (all three either did not work or were extremely difficult to use) , provide a knife sharpener (all the knives were dull) and making sure the little refrigerator was defrosted and working properly. The bar area was great and we were excited about the extra small fridge but it was not working properly. Overall these were small complaints as the house was wonderful and provided us exactly what we were looking for in a vacation. Beach time, family games and fun times, cooking together and enjoying a low key beach town with beautiful scenery. We would definitely come back and stay here again.

Perfect location just over the bridge to the island and central to grocery stores and restaurants .

On the beach so access to the sand and water is perfect. The home is older and some of the furniture needs updating; specifically the living room table was beat up and two chairs had cushions that needed cleaning or replacing. The couch was good. Some cracks in the tiles; one was huge. The kitchen and all appliances were good. The pots and pans were worn out. The throw rugs in the living area and main hallway were curled up on the edges and represented a tripping hazard. Up stairs had nice carpeting and all three bathrooms were good. During stormy weather and hard rain we had a leak in one of the main bedrooms that soaked a third of the carpet. The TV in the main living area was a small LED with a cable system that was slow and sluggish and only got 10 or so channels (needs improvement). Overall I was somewhat satisfied by the home but a small expenditure by the owner to update the very worn items would have made all the difference in the world. The locations was the best you could have and this is my 10th visit to the island in the last 30 years.

Great property

Nice vacation house with lots of room! We love Emerald Isle and had a great week with our extended family! The porch furniture (table and chairs, swing) were such a nice bonus. One unexpected - no cable tv... just FYI!

Great location for family vacation, quiet and roomy house, the kitchen is excellent

Beautiful house and excellent location. Close enough to the beach so you could walk 2-3 times to beach a day without worry if you have everything you need for the kids. You can surf fishing right there ... at night ... you can chasing crabs on the beach with your kids. Oh ... wifi is working fine the whole time we were there so if your kids are so worry about that.

Lattitudes was perfect for our graduation celebration!

Access to the beach couldn't have been better. The kitchen provided everything we needed and all the seating, both inside and out, was ample for our family gathering. Deanna provided all the instructions we needed to make the week perfect and the property manager even stopped by to ensure we had everything we needed. We would definiately recommend Lattitudes!

We've spent many weeks at EI over the last 25 years and love every minute of our time there---all year 'round---whenever we visit our second home and know you will too!

Stroll the tideline at sunset or pedal your bike to the food-mart on the bike path for early morning groceries or coffee. Lounge oceanside on the beach or on the vast decks all week long and take in the amazing sunrises and sunsets over the emerald Atlantic.
