Great place over all. The unit had everything we needed, including some things we didn't expect (like beach chairs, which we didn't need). Good view of the ocean, but note that the porch is screened--you can't stick your head out!The pictures show an extended walkway, but you can't use that one. It ends, and you can not cross the dune. You must use the public access, but it's even easier to cross actually. We were there in Sept, and there were no crowds at all.The unit is on the 2nd floor, and there are no elevators, so be aware of that. Our bags were light enough, and I'm young enough, that I just carried them up a flight of stairs.The beach was absolutely fantastic. Wide beach, soft clean sand, clear water. Note that cars can drive on the beach here; we're not used to that since we usually go to the gulf. About 1.5 miles from the pier, but we didn't fish. The pier didn't really extend enough to make it worthwhile, in my opinion. If you want to fish, go to the in let just a couple of miles away.Local restaurants are fantastic, and historic St. Augustine is only a 15 min drive. We recommend Fundadelic and Sunset Grill locally, and Harry's and Columbia restaurant in St. Augustine. You have to check out Fort San Marcos as well. We did a ghost tour, but meh...Back to the unit, it was comfortable, but the furniture was a little older. Sofa could probably use more padding, but the kitchen was well-equipped and perfect for us. We need nothing more.
