Spacious escape

We had a group of 6 couples come together for a long weekend and had plenty of space to spread out. The house was well-equipped with everything we needed, the lake views are even better in person.

We really enjoyed this lovely home--beautiful views of the lake and lots of amenities.

I would recommend this house especially for large families. There is plenty of privacy and I loved cooking in the beautiful kitchen.

Wonderful Lake Murray home.

This house was great for our annual family vacation. We had never been to lake Murray but heard good things. Drew was very helpful and told us the fun things near by. We rented the pontoon boat from him which was fun and convenient. The house is exactly as advertised and would highly recommend staying here to enjoy this beautiful lake.

This was one of the best friendcations you could have the view was beautiful from the screened porch! There was plenty of space for guests and the kitchen was fully stocked!

College friends/families reunited

This was a perfect house for 4 college friends and their whole families to come together for the first time! Their was room for everyone fun was had by all!

Groomsmen weekend

My son is getting married and wanted to have a weekend together with his groomsmen. We rented this house, and it could not have been more perfect for us. Bedrooms were comfortable, kitchen and living area was large and open, and Drew was a fantastic host. I would highly recommend this house to anyone.

Hard to leave

Just a great stay. Such a beautiful view and the layout of the house was perfect for gathering, playing games, watching Netflix or just being in the moment together. If folks are expecting glamorous or dazzling furnishings and utensils, might not meet lofty expectations, but we loved it and felt at home. Thank you!

Precious Family Time

I searched for a lake house that would be comfortable for our three adult couples and 5 grandchildren. Drew was very helpful and readily available should we have had any issues. We were able to put our boat in at a nearby ramp and tie to the dock during our stay. Very nice home. We would like to have a getaway there again!

A fabulous home! Great host! Well stocked kitchen

I truly lucked out with this home. We had a family wedding in Columbia and I needed a home that could sleep all of us. This was the place. The view from the back deck to the lake was spectacular. The house was clean....kitchen well stocked with anything you could think of. The host was easily reached by phone to answer any questions. My kids are trying to find another date when we can meet up there again. I would give this home the highest recommendation. You won't be disappointed!

Memorable Family Reunion!

There were 12 folks in our family, 8 adults and 4 young children. There was plenty of space to spread out and yet a number of spaces that encouraged great conversation.The home was lovely, beds were very comfortable and there was so much to enjoy around the home. We rented the pontoon boat, used the kayaks, tubes, grill, fire pit and enjoyed lots of swimming! We went out for several sunset boat rides which were beautiful. The temperatures were high but being next to the water made it hardly noticeable. Drew was patient with all my questions and very accommodating. Lake Murray was a beautiful lake. We would not hesitate to choose Drew's home again if we were in the area.

Beautiful home

The home is beautiful. The owner is fabulous and replied very quickly. The site needs more pictures. The property is literally right next door to another home. So there isn’t much privacy at all when outside. Also- parking is a nightmare. It only fits 3-4 cars in driveway and it is right. You can not park on the street. And there is no parking anywhere else. So be prepared. We had to leave cars at the Publix. And move cars every time someone wanted to leave... the kitchen is well stocked. For the price I would have liked more privacy... and more amenities. The water at the dock was very shallow. The kids loved the kayaks. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Cousincation 2023

This house is absolutely amazing! The pictures are exactly what you will experience in-person. My sisters and cousins (12 females total) stayed here last weekend, and the house did not disappoint. There were enough beds and overall space for us to be together, yet have individual time. It was the level of relaxation we needed to bond and relax! My feedback has already been shared with the responsive home-owner but here are some things that you should keep in mind when booking. We were only able to fit a sedan and 3 small SUVs in the driveway. The road in/out is fairly narrow, so there isn’t any place for street parking. We came from FL, GA, SC, NC, and VA, so we were limited to sharing a ride. Luckily, my sister-in-law’s mother lives about 15 mins away, and allowed us to park 4 cars in her yard. You will need to limit or stagger showering time as water went cold fairly quickly…but again, there were 12 of us getting ready around the same time. Not an issue for us, but if your stay requires some privacy when getting dressed or “intimate activities”, the walkout door in the downstairs master does not have a curtain or blinds. The light must’ve blown out at the front door because it was extremely dark after sunset. We used the flashlights on our cells, so it worked out just fine. Even with these findings, I would book again with Drew, the homeowner. Repeating again, this house is absolutely amazing! The pictures are exactly what you will experience in-person.

beautiful lake views - home needs updating for several interior items - needs TLC for area behind deck - host was very responsive before and during our stay, but failed to respond to attempts to contact him after checkout - he filed an incomplete and misleading damage report to VRBO - shocking lack of communication after the misleading damage report

We had a wonderful time here! There were several families and lots of children, and the house was spacious and perfect for our group size. The kitchen was great for gathering, and we loved sitting on the deck for our morning coffee and evening cocktails. The biggest bonus was the opportunity to rent a pontoon boat from the owner right there at the house! We originally thought we'd just need it for a day, but ended up keeping it two days because we had so much fun on day one. Drew was incredibly helpful and quick to respond. Highly recommend this home if you're visiting Lake Murray!

This is a very large home on a lovely part of the lake. There was more than ample space for our family of 11 including 7 adults and 4 young children with plenty space for privacy as well as gathering. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. There is a nice dock and landing less than 10 mins away by car (we brought our boat and kept it tied to the dock for the weekend). We did find that the afternoon sun through the vaulted glass windows perhaps overwhelmed the AC unit and we were quite warm in the hottest parts of the day.

AWESOME

Drew was an amazing host, very responsive to text and messages. The House is amazing, Very Clean, and set up nice. The kitchen is very well stocked with, cups, plates, silverware, and stuff you you wouldn't think of. I hope I have a need to visit SC again. Thank you Drew, my friends and family had an amazing time celebrating my daughters graduation from UoSC. Only complaint is the driveway is small, and shaped weird, I had a hard time getting my truck and boat trailer in the driveway.

The owner is an Indiana Hoosier who has lived in the Carolina's for 30 years now. When the home isn't being rented it is filled with sounds of our 4 kids (and most days, their friends too). It's a great place to spend a week or a childhood. Our kids swim off the dock, go tubing on the lake, fishing, and camping on the empty lots beside our home.

So much SOLITUDE. It's at the END of an 8 mile long dead end road! That means little to no traffic, no road noise and lots of darkness. STARS like you can't imagine, owls calling in the night and moonlight on the water....BUT it's only MINUTES from a huge mall, restaurant row, groceries, doctors, parks and two multi-screen movie theatres.

Besides the Tempurpedic mattresses and the Wolf Range in the gourmet kitchen, this house is unique. The custom kitchen features Amish cabinets hand made in the Amish community of Arthur, Illinois by Amish craftsmen to replicate the kitchen in the movie, 'Something's Gotta Give'. The solitude in the evenings feels like you are miles from everything. Comfort, luxury, solitude and the lake.
