Perfect Vacation place

Staying there was a very pleasant experience and I would do it again and I would recomend the place to spend nice vacations in the place. There were seven of us for the first week and only two for the second. The place is spacious, so we didn't bump into one another. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with the shower/tub which was very convienient. There are A/Cs in all bedrooms, the hallway/stairs and the living room which is very nice for hot Hawaii days.The downstairs has an open plan with a kitchen, dining room, and living room. The third bedroom is also on the main floor. The kitchen is very well equipped, with a dishwasher, a washer and a dryer, a coffee maker,a toaster, and more. There were plenty of dishes like plates, bows, cups, glasses, pots, frying pans, etc. and many utensiles. There are also a nice big lanais off the master bedroom and the living room, a TV set in each bedroom and two in the living room, a BBQ off the dining room. The unit is conveniently located and we could walk to the shopping center with grocery store, restaurants, movie theater, and more. On weekend there is a farmers market on the parking lot there. The best way to contact Mike, the host, is via text. He responds very quickly to that format. Again I would highly recomend the place.

Was a very pleasant stay my mom turned 80 yrs young so wanted a place she would enjoy and relax having the grill was a plus we enjoyed the condo had everything we needed we would recommend this place give a five ’s up

Perfect!

We loved this condo and the location. We had 4 adults and one teenager for our stay and we had a ton of room. The condo was clean and all instructions/information was clearly labeled. The main pool had a small restaurant and bar which was great for breakfast in the morning. The owners were VERY accommodating when we had a last minute change of plans which was incredibly nice of them. A short, 15 minute walk, got us to the beach! This was our third visit to the Big Island and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Wonderful spot!

We loved this property! It was nice to be able to have two big bedrooms upstairs for the adults and two beds for the kids available downstairs too. The location is excellent and it’s wonderful having hot tub pool fitness center etc. available. We really enjoyed sitting outside on the lanai and enjoying the view of the golf course.

Great for our extended family stay!

The condo was well supplied with towels, kitchen supplies, soap, detergents, cleaners, TV's etc. The layout worked well so the 3 adult couples had their own room/bath and space. Large living room, dining spaces, and patios. Communication with host was variable. Replaced the non-working coffee maker very quickly. Some texts remained unanswered. Many failed attempts to get the wi-fi working, which isn't done through the owner, but the service provider for the complex. Called twice, spoke to customer service, they could detect a problem, was told they needed to start tickets and have senior tech look into the problem. Never heard back though they said they would get back to us soon. Wasted too much time trying to deal with this issue! Overall though, I'm glad we stayed here!

Great Place for a Family Vacation

This condo was great for our family vacation this year! The location was excellent and the condo is well outfitted! It does need some maintenance, especially with the air conditioner and electrical systems. The upstairs is quite warm on summer afternoons and air needs to be turned on prior to guests arrival! It didn’t cool down in the master bedroom until almost midnight on our first night and then only after shutting the bathroom and hall doors. The master bathroom never cooled down. The bedside lamps in the master turned off and on at will but unfortunately not with the switch. The table lamp in the living room never worked either! The only thing this place needs is a dust pan in the kitchen! However, those items didn’t detract from our awesome time on the big island, just think at this price, guests shouldn’t have to deal with maintenance issuess!

Great Family Vacation Spot

We stayed at this townhome for our family vacation. It was all we hoped for and more. The location was perfect. We all had a wonderful time. If you want a large place with everything you need during your stay, this is the place for you. The owners are available if you need to reach them. We needed to stay a few days longer than anticipated but there was no problem.

Great place, plenty of space, good amenities - wifi was TERRIBLE

Really enjoyed the place - plenty of room for all of us and good gathering places. Ammenities are great. Loved the well-stocked kitchen. check in was a breeze. WIFI was terrible. Escalated multiple times during the week with no improvement.

-location great, good to get to get to Kona and beach -amenities in resort great -condo well stocked -confusion about AC lock box and checked in after office closed, so went first night without AC (provide code for box with entrance code) -a little dated, but newer appliances -overall a nice quiet condo on golf course -enjoyed feeding the birds

Great place

Had small issue with AC in one room but owner got someone out immediately to take care of it. WiFi not good but we were not there to work! Complex condo is in was awesome and close to everything we needed. Perfect for our family of 6 plus a toddler! Had an amazing time.

Vacation stay demands

We felt the cleaning demands were a little bit much . Should have been just basic stripping of the beds & putting all laundry in or near the laundry space! And taking out the trash. Last thing you want to do is to spend the last 3-4 hours cleaning with the check out being. 11am before you leave, from your vacation!!!

AC unit didn't work for the 9 nights we stay here

Place is well located, the resort facilities are very nice, the rental process went well. The only issue we had is the AC on the second master didn't work from day 1 and was not fixed for the duration of the trip (9 nights). The owner was able to send a person to fix the AC 3 days after we arrived. the first person was not able to fix it, then 2 days later someone else came to give it a try and he realized it was a module problem on the outside box, the part needed to be shipped from Oahu. We didn't hear form him again, it was already thrusday. We check out on Monday. Everything else went well.

Kona stay

We had an excellent stay in Hawaii. The check-in and check-out process was easy. Convenient location near beach and snorkel and hiking spots. Excellent kitchen area that included an outdoor grill, making it easy to eat in. We would stay here again.

Three Generations; all needs met.

We had 1.5 years old to 65 years old. The space, (bedrooms) was excellent for everyone. The back patio was ideal for the entire family. If anyone needed a quiet spot, they found their space.

Hawaiian Paradise

We loved the location...short drive to K Center for shopping, eating out and a movie theater and we really enjoyed walking down to the resort and watching the sunset. Being on the golf course was fun and bird watching was very entertaining. Our place was clean and had a well stocked kitchen and the bbq was well used and enjoyed. We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again and recommend it to families that enjoy all that the resort has to offer.

Vacation February 15-March 1

Our 2nd time staying at this condo. We were a group of 3 couples. Plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. We used the outside dining area for every meal. Private and quiet in the back over looking the golf course. Great location, grocery store just up the hill, snorkeling one mile on Ali'i Dr., and close to downtown Kona. The owners John and Claudette are great to work with. We will be returning.

Excellent Property, Clean, Responsive, Great Location Wifi is just OK

This 3 bedroom 3 bath townhouse was an excellent property. The owners were responsive and the property was located close to a grocery and large drugstore as well as the departure bay for the manta ray tours at Manta Ray Village. A view of the golf course made this property quiet and serene with colourful birds visiting daily. The BBQ was convenient and the pool and tennis courts were clean and available. The owner provided 6 beach towels so we could use them on the nearby beaches and some pool noodles to relax in the ocean. The two negative remarks are not so bad. The wifi is run by the resort and the access in most of house is poor and the speed is just passable but if that is not needed, it worked fine for emails and local web lookups. The information sent to you upon confirmation is inaccurate providing the number of a manager who no longer is associated with the property and wrong wifi codes but don't worry, the right information is all on the counter on cards. The house is well equipped with well maintained appliances, lots of dishes and detergents so you can keep your clothes, linens and towels clean. We didn't use the a/c in January and the windows and ceiling fans were more than adequate. I would definitely love to use this property again.(just warn the kids about wifi so they don't whine and they get outside). Be warned, the master bedroom is luxurious so enjoy yourself. Exactly what we wanted

Kona Coast 4-102 could not have been any better. It was spacious, well furnished, very comfortable, and best of all, perfectly located. It was amazingly close to so many things we wanted to do while on the Big Island. We, honestly, could not have asked for a better place to stay. In addition, when we had to make an adjustment to our arrival, the owner was very helpful in coordinating with us and was as accommodating as possible. Staying at 4-102 was a great experience and one of which I would highly recommend others take advantage.

Family Vacation

The place is a great home away from home. We are a family of 7 (adults, young adults and older teens)and it provided enough space for everyone to sleep comfortable with fans and air conditioning. They provided plenty of linens and towels in the bathrooms and kitchen use. They had separate towels for the pool which can be used at the beach also. There is a large washer (with soap) and dryer, so packing light was easy because we would do laundry mid-week. The kitchen had more than the basics for a larger family than ourselves(crock pot, blender, plastic containers, various cooking utensils, rice cooker, keurig and coffee pot, dishwasher w/soap) Previous guests left some spices (salt, pepper), oils (canola), dry goods(oatmeal) but nothing was spoiled. They provided a soap bar and we brought our own shampoo. Previous guests left sunscreen and some beach items, but we brought our own. The grocery store is very close (walkable, but up a hill) so it's easy to buy items as needed. This was our first trip to Big Island and we spent all our time here. We did 2-2.5 hr drive day trips to other places like Hilo, Mauna Kea, Waipio Valley. We chose to do it that way so we can settle into one place. The Kona side had plenty to offer also and its a drier side. The property had a volleyball court (we played two nights, fun, soft sand), basketball court (half court, shorter rim), swam in "quiet pool", and their gym is small. We didn't get to try their on-site restaurant. The sunsets from the resort is gorgeous! We had our designated parking spot. There is a place to rinse off beach gear. When I had an issue, the owners were prompt to answer questions and were helpful. I would definitely come back again. Owners to check on: The rice cooker didn't have a lid?? We were able to use it with foil (big costco roll left behind, thank you!) We only saw one wooden cutting board, additional ones would be helpful. The "Splash" was closed so we ended up having to wash our pool towels.

Family Gathering Was Great

Our family of 8 stayed at the Kona Coast Resort townhouse (4-102) in mid-Late July for 8 nights. Because of Covid and because we live on opposite sides of the US, we had not all been together in two years. It was a treat to be able to stay under one roof and have family time. There were three families (8 people)—the parents—a son/wife/daughter, and another son/wife/son; the 3 bedrooms and 3 baths worked out great giving each family its own bedroom and bath. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances for cooking, and we cooked in most nights. The washer and dryer was very nice to have also. The lanai with the large table made eating more fun. The kids loved watching the birds, lizards, and the mongoose come by while eating and playing on the lanai. The pools were nice, and access was easy. We were also able to go to different beaches and sightsee, so the location is good. There is a grocery store right up the road in walking distance which is convenient. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we were in the area. Our hosts were responsive and easy to work with. It was a great trip, and the townhouse worked well for us.
