¡Bienvenido a la playa!

Los huéspedes de la unidad 203 son recibidos por un mural en la pared, pintado por el propietario, de nuestra hermosa playa. Otras obras de arte únicas se encuentran en toda la unidad.
Encimeras de granito, una ballena sonriente y una rana interesante son características de la cocina.
El color rojo, amarillo y negro de la sala de estar se destaca dramáticamente con una hermosa alfombra turca. Un curioso Pelican vigila atentamente la habitación.

El amplio y luminoso dormitorio es el lugar perfecto para relajarse después de un día ajetreado en la playa. En el baño contiguo, las caricaturas de la gente en la playa y la "Evolución de una Reina de la Belleza" seguramente traerán una sonrisa.
Esta unidad está ubicada cerca del extremo oeste del edificio, lo que te permite relajarte a la sombra y disfrutar de los impresionantes amaneceres de la mañana, junto con las maravillosas vistas del Golfo y la playa. Las escaleras cercanas te permiten un acceso rápido a la playa, ¡a solo unos pasos!

Beautiful views!

We loved our stay at Unpack and Unwind! The balcony had beautiful views and we even saw some dolphins. The beach chairs and umbrella were a bonus. We even extended our stay an extra day. We will be back!

The condo was very clean with comfortable furnishings. The beach chair service was a great bonus. This unit on the second floor was next to the stairs just steps from the beach. It was only a short drive to restaurants and activities. The Holiday Surf and Racquet Club was very well maintained and safe. We would definitely stay at this complex and this condo again.

Kitchen has the necessary utensils one needs; adequate bath towels. Cons: bed was on the firm-side; felt like I was sleeping on the floor. Couch looked & felt worn out. Not a deal-breaker for us but considering this is a Racquet Club complex we expected Tennis Channel to be available, especially since BNP Paribas was on that week.

Bed was super comfortable! Upon arrival the unit was pretty clean. Day 2 we had several uninvited guests - not something I am accustomed to at home. We were inundated with roaches 😕 (Not palmetto bugs, roaches!). Day 4 we left (2 days early). I advised the staff as I checked out. Now apologies, No, "How can we make it better", etc. I have tried multiple times to contact someone at the facility & that didn't accomplish a thing. Askedo for info to contact owners. Nothing.I do have multiple photos. The travel insurance won't cover the early departure either. Disappointed to say the least.

Check-in Review and Suggestion

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The check-in process is UNPLEASANT! I have been coming to HSaR for over 20 years and checking in has become very unfriendly in the last few years. I called about 11:30am to see if our unit was ready early. The man told me that there was no way he could check to see but sometimes guests are allowed to check in after 1pm if the unit is ready. So we arrive at 1:30 to find that the office is closed until 2pm for a meeting which he neglected to tell us about. We decide to wait the 30 minutes... only staff doesn't return until 3:30 and no one answers the number we were instructed to call. Customer service seems to be the least important factor. Many other vacation management companies are willing to contact the incoming guests with a simple text or email when/if their unit becomes available earlier than 4pm. It could a win/win situation if you would do that. Guests would feel special and be excited. I am quite sure that I am not the only person "wasting time" in Destin waiting to check in. And it would alleviate the rush at 4pm when everyone is trying to check-in. I don't see any down-side to doing this. Some management companies even request the clean-up company to try to complete the units with bookings first so that they can charge the guests 1/2 a night if the unit is available and the customer check-in is before 12 noon. That is "free money" for you. the unit is ready and sitting there empty. Why not capitalize on it! Put a clause in the rental contract "Please do not call and request your unit early. IF it is ready, we will notify you and offer early check-in for an additional fee of half of a one-night fee."
