We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. We were a family of 5, with 2 teenagers and my son and his girlfriend. This resort is nice because it's full service, but very low key. I was told by another guest that it is an older resort, so we built before the zoning changed, so it is close to the beach, which we really liked. The location could not have been better. We did rent car for the occasion trip to Walmart or to a Cenote, but it was certainly not required.Max was very helpful and gave excellent restaurant recommendations. I would suggest reserving in advance.Many were on the Calle 38 stretch which is is a beautiful area with a lively atmosphere, but with none of the chaotic energy of 5th Avenida.We did eat at Ilios our first evening. It had great reviews, excellent service and good food. However, there was a huge disconnect because they had music playing so loudly that we could not converse at all. Apparently this is like this between 8-10 pm. They have many restaurants run by the same company, so I would avoid these overpriced touristb traps! Stick with the recommendations from Max!We loved the beach and you could access the whole stretch. There were many activities available- from jet skiing to parasailing. We passed by many resorts that were crowded and were happy that we were at Sunset Fisherman.I loved the fact that we were only an hour from the airport as well. All in all, we had a relaxing vacation.

Great location and venue

We love Fisherman's Village -- it is a small resort right on the sand. Swimming pool overlooking the sand and ocean, great swim up bar, and wonderful little restaurant serving different menu every day. All around, a great experience.

Great place!

Our family loved this staying here! This place is very well maintained. The location is ideal right off the beach. Modern A/C and amenities. Exactly as described. The owner was very helpful with communication, etc. Hotel-like checkin was convenient.

Wonderful stay at playa del carmen/fisherman's Village

The beach front property was perfect for our group with age ranges from 23 to 80 yrs old. The beach was lovely, and pool was very nice. There were plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas by the beach and pool. The condo was clean, roomy, and had a comfortable layout. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and small appliances. The friendly staff were helpful and attentive. The host provided detailed information that made our stay exceptional!

Beautiful beach, lovely resort, responsive host

The resort was the perfect size... big enough to have terrific amenities, small enough that the private beach/pool was never crowded. Resort staff was very helpful. The property was roomy with beautiful views from 2 balconies.

Right on the beach!

We loved staying at this property! We don’t like big crowds and prefer to eat locally vs at an all inclusive, so this was the perfect place for us. The beach was amazing. We were right on the water. The lifeguard was nice for younger kids. The pool bar was great for smoothies every day. The condo was spacious and nicely updated. The pool was warm and not busy at all. All the shops and a grocery store are within walking distance. Our favorite restaurant was el Fagon. Beautiful property with a great view of the ocean!

Very nice condo. The description is accurate. The complex has a nice pool and beach access. The little restaurant at the pool was great for lunch.

Great Resort for Anyone.

This property is in a guarded community and right on the beach with great food. The employees are really nice too. We had a wonderful visit. This was our 4th time to visit this resort. The room had a lot of cooking supplies & small appliances and we cooked many meals this time. If you’re looking for a place to relax with friends or family this definitely is the place.

Excellent location, clean and neat with all the necessities and then some. Only downside was small third sleeping space which was still doable. Resort staff very friendly. Owner easy to communicate with. Would stay here again.

Fabulous resort for your family

We loved Fishermans! We were familiar with the resort as we have rented many homes in Playacar. The service is phenomenal and the staff so helpful. We enjoyed the food as well. Very easy to keep track of little ones as well. Our grandsons loved the experience and we look forward to booking many vacations at Fishermans.

A great condo at a wonderful beach!

This is a fantastic place to stay! The condo is really well laid out. We had lots of room for my husband and I and our three older teens. The kitchen is well set up for cooking, and the beds and living space are very comfortable. The owner responds promptly and is very helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely Resort Close to the Beach

Nice condo. Perfect for family, friends or an extended stay. Great communication from the property owner which made the check-in process easy. Owner offered great suggestions about restaurants and activities in the area. If you don’t feel like cooking, you can purchase an all-inclusive package from the resort. The resort staff is friendly and helpful. You can’t beat this location on the beach! I would stay here again!

Another great stay at Fisherman’s Village

We had a group of 6, which was well accommodated by the unit. Kitchen was well- equipped. One patio fit 6 people comfortably and had great view of the ocean and pool. It was nice to have 3 full bathrooms and always had hot water for showers. AC worked well in the main portion of the condo and ceiling fans were nice to keep air moving. Easy walk to 5th Avenue with so many options for delicious food! Resort staff are very helpful. Host also provided thorough information about property, check in process and was easy to reach during our stay! My only suggestion would have been to have more hand towels available in the unit and better operating AC in the back unit- the AC worked, but wasn’t super cool and the fan ran constantly.

Family Vacay

Great location with infinity pools next to the beach. Swimup bar and restaurants are poolside. The condo itself was nice size and fully equipped - with a couple of things that could be updated, but we loved it and would return. We had a couple of issues with our unit but they were handled promptly. The condo complex/resort is perfectly located and laid out. Every staff member we encountered was a pleasure to deal with. The resort itself could also use some upgrades (lots of missing tiles in the pool and some cosmetic touches) but as mentioned we would definately return.

Great Family Vacation!

We stayed for Spring Break and had the best time. The resort had so many fun activities to do as a family, kayaking, beach volleyball and water aerobics (yes water aerobics) Shout out to Alejandro!! The location was perfect, nestled off the main rd right on the beach. We were able to walk to Starbucks and the shops every day with ease. This was close enough to fifth ave without being right in the hustle of it. The unit was spacious and had everything we needed for our 7 guests (4 adults and 3 kids). We will 100% be back again!!

Awesome Place! Highly Recommend!

Max was so helpful and responsive👍. Beautiful & peaceful property, right on the beach, 2nd floor. Looks like they did a fresh remodel w new furniture in living and dining room. Pool was clean, and staff was friendly and helpful. There was sargassum on all Playa beaches, but once you swam past 15 yards, the water cleared, and if you swim to the sandbar...the turquoise and clarity were amazing to play in! Condo was clean, and everything was as expected. The property also had unexpected free social events over Spring Break...live music, exercise/yoga, salsa lessons, cooking class; none of which were advanced, just an easy mixer to meet other guests.

Great small resort

We have stayed at Fisherman’s many times. The resort is great if you like a smaller feel (which we do), but it is starting to show its age. The location can’t be beat with its 20 minute walk into town. And we always feel very safe in the neighborhood and at the resort. The apartment we stayed in was equipped with everything we needed for the week. We especially loved that a large 5-galling water jug was included in our stay so we didn’t have to haul in a case of water. The rooms are a good size and was more than adequate for our family of 5 to spread out. The larger bedrooms had ceiling fans. The smaller room (more like a large closet with a bed) did not have one, but we were able to locate a small fan in one of the bedrooms and use that for air flow in the smaller room. The apartment has two balconies and the one off the master was our favorite to sit and listen to the ocean while reading a book after we had had our fill of sun for the day. It had a nicely padded loveseat that was quite comfortable. There are several TVs in the apartment, though with so much to do outside, we never used them. But they would have been nice had we had a rainy day during our stay.
