Vista completa del lago Hurón con una zona frente a la playa. El nuevo año está aquí y todos comenzamos a pensar en el verano, el clima cálido y dónde pasar unas vacaciones. Por favor considere nuestra casa. Tenemos una vista impresionante desde las dos cubiertas de gran tamaño, además de la ventana de imagen dentro de las vistas están fuera de este mundo. Disfruta del espectacular amanecer de la mañana con una taza de café sentado cerca del fuego de la chimenea de gas. ¡La paz y la soledad es tan relajante! El paisaje acuático es espectacular con el cielo y el agua siempre cambiando. Es un gran lugar para relajarse y descansar con familiares y amigos. Encontrará que nuestra casa es muy cómoda, con todo lo que necesita, desde toallas, almohadas y mantas adicionales, ollas y sartenes, platos, cafetera y secador de pelo. La casa principal tiene 3 habitaciones para dormir 6 cómodamente; 1 maestro con una cama king temperpedic, 1 con una reina y 1 habitación infantil con literas. Hay una barraca separada que puede dormir cómodamente a 4 personas más, pero es solo para dormir. No hay baño ni habitaciones separadas. Toda la casa es un rancho con acceso para sillas de ruedas (solo un pequeño escalón) por dentro y por fuera, incluidas las rampas a ambas cubiertas. Uno de los baños tiene una ducha a ras de suelo también. Una vez más, las vistas son perfectas, incluso desde nuestros cómodos sillones reclinables basculantes / giratorios en la sala de estar / sala familiar. Amazing beach and views. Felt like home. Everyone had a great time. Beach walking finding rocks, paddle board, relaxing on the deck watching the Freighters and ships go by.

The house had everything imaginable to make your visit enjoyable and relaxing. The ceiling fans and a/c made the hot days very comfortable. Quiet neighbors, plenty of room to walk around the yard, far enough away from M25 where traffic noise wasn't an issue. We enjoyed the million dollar view from all of the decks, the beach was sandy and fun to walk down, but the lake was very rocky and we weren't comfortable venturing in to take a swim. Golf was less than 10 minutes away, and the Stone Lodge and Forester Inn were our favorites for dinner. We'll definitely be back! Thanks, Mike, for sharing your incredible home!

Lake Huron Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable house overlooking Lake Huron. Great communication with property owner. Stunning views with lots of different outdoor seating areas to enjoy. We enjoyed kayaking, rock hunting, and basically just relaxing at this lakeside escape!

Private Lake Huron Getaway

Our family of four adults and two dogs had a very relaxing vacation at this home. The location is on a private beach right on Lake Huron. Recent updates to the deck give you wonderful views of the lake and several types of chairs in which to relax. Bonfires on the beach were a great way to end our evenings.

Great getaway!

The yard and beach can't be beaten. Space for everyone and all kinds of activities. The main living space was perfect for hosting a large group comfortably. Mike was attentive and helpful a great host. We will be back!

Perfection

What a wonderful week we had! The weather was great but the accommodations were top notch! Just a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The house was very clean and well appointed, everything you need is right there, we cooked quite a few nights and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pans, etc., The beach is beautiful, we have lovely sunrise and moon shots to remember our week! Mike was a wonderful host and we thank him for sharing his piece of Michigan! We would definitely love a return visit!

Even Better The Second Time Around

When Michigan beaches are unpredictable year to year, this place is one you can count on. For the second year in a row we enjoyed sparkling water, sunny skies, sunrises, campfires, kayaks and family time. When you have to go inside for sustenance, the kitchen is an ample place to gather and is well- appointed to cook whatever delicious meal you have the desire for. There's a large table inside and outside for dining, board games or to take in the fabulous view. Mike does a great job of continuing to update and maintain his property and is very interested in what his guests are looking for in their perfect vacation. Book it and see for yourself!

Best rental EVER! Perfect vacation house! 10/10!!

Mike and Marsha are AMAZING hosts! The house was spotless and has so many amenities! Private beach with tons of chairs, kayaks and fire pit. Wonderful deck overlooking the lake, room for the whole family for meals inside and out. Nice grill on the deck connected to the house. The kitchen is beautiful, has a huge island and is stocked with everything you need. Tons of extra pillows, blankets and sheets. Beds are very comfy! 4 beds in the bunkhouse with AC, such a great bonus space. The living room has huge windows with that amazing lake view, and a very large tv for the whole family to have a movie night. The house even has a surround sound system to play music inside and out. This house is truly a treasure, my family had the best week here and we couldn’t of asked for a better vacation. Our dog loved the beach and the space to run around also. We can’t wait to go back! :)

Excellent, Excellent and more Excellent!

We will return, everything was in great order and clean! Pat, the cottage keeper met us and took great care in making sure we knew our way around! The decks were very good to read a book or see the stars and the freighters go by. Cottage filled with extra sheets and towels. Golf, restaurants and staples store close by. Beach daily, family dinners most days with a fires and smores nightly. Very quiet solitude! We drove the Lake Huron circle tour for a day trip, all the way to Port Crescent seeing all of the lighthouses and having lunch.. Good location to travel from. Mike and Marsha, you have a very nice place and I appreciate your follow up call when we got back and in working with us prior to our stay. Not kidding about water shoes needed for rocks. I was so glad they mentioned it. We have always been fans of the sunset side of the state, but the sunrise side is most definitely underrated. Hope to visit again soon! Gina, Tom and Family 2016

Perfect Family Getaway

We hate to review this property because once the secret is out, we might not be able to book it in the future. We stayed for 2 weeks (with another 2 weeks in the future) and the place is amazing. First, the house is perfectly suited for family and friends. The kitchen island is the perfect space for eating and socializing. The two bathrooms are beautiful as are the three bedrooms. If you have small kids, they will love the room with bunk beds. There is a detached bunkhouse without a bathroom but plenty more room for guests to stay. The master bedroom was roomy with a sliding door out to the lawn and lake. The outside space is perfectly configured with a table and chairs and another space with a two-tiered deck overlooking the water. The beach, well, that's perfect too. Yes, there are stones at first but then it turns into sand. Perfect. Mike and Marsha are the most wonderful hosts. They make sure you have everything you need. Pat, the property manager is always on-call and a really nice person. We loved this place. You will too. Just don't tell anyone else, okay?

Hidden Gem in Michigan's Thumb

I have stayed at many VRBOs but none have been more thoroughly thought out with attention to details than this place. We are already thinking about when we can return to this wonderful vacation rental of Lake Huron. My only criticism is that the pictures on this website do not do this place justice. Here are a list of our favorite positives: Easy to work with owners who let us check in early and were very responsive and accommodating (even called us Monday to see how things went) Amazing equipped kitchen that will probably be nicer than what you have at home Stocked with firewood, and two campfire spots (by beach for warm nights, and up near the large wooded area for cold nights) Large accommodating bathroom for easy sand washing Everything was clean and well-marked for ease of use Plenty of air conditioning for those steamy days Pool barn with 3 beds to accommodate extra guests Very kid friendly, with dedicated room of toys for young Tykes Super comfortable bedding Lots of outdoor seating for beach, grass, or picnicking There was some reviews concerning the rocky beach. This is typical for this part of Lake Huron, and with sandals wasn't a problem. We enjoyed the beach very much, and the kids had a great time picking seashells and exotic rocks. There's good sized beach access. You won't regret staying here. No need to look elsewhere.

comfortable, clean, with lots of room to play inside and outside

My family has rented different houses with another family every summer for 17 years. I would rate this house as one of the top 5 houses. This year with the children grown and out of the house there were just 4 of us, and we rented Mike and Marsha Simmons' house on Lake Huron during September 2017. It is a lovely house with spacious lawns where we played bocce and croquet. There are several places to sit and relax outside--the patio for dinner, the deck overlooking the water and the beach itself. The grounds are well cared for and there is a collection of flat beach rocks that visitors have signed. Inside the house is immaculate, the beds are comfortable (although I can't speak for the bunks), the showers are large, there is plenty of space to relax and the kitchen is beautiful and open to the rest of the house. Although the the sand does not extend into the water, rather it is rocky and I recommend water shoes, it is fairly shallow and there is a sand bar further out. We explored out artistic sidwes over several afternoons making pathways and sculptures with the rocks and boulders. We could watch the sun rise over the lake, and we made several fires in the 2 firepits in the evenings. I highly recommend this house.

Best Beach on Huron

This was our second time renting here. Many upgrades in the last year, primarily new deck and stairs. Beach is in perfect condition. Best one we saw nearby during multiple Kayak trips north and south. Kids had a blast in the sand. Bring water shoes for rocks, which is typical for this side of Lake Huron. The smallest room had a TERRIBLE smell that never went away, coming from the closet. It's clear the renters are aware of the issue, as they had two odor neutralizer tubs in the room, one in the closet, and an opened bar of Irish Spring in the closet. Since they knew about it, and didn't fix it, I wasn't going to spend a bunch of time complaining. I don't know if it was sewer leak or a dead animal, but it was repulsive and strong and constant. I was able to stop the odor from coming into the living area by using winter sheets over the closet door, and jamming excess through the peripheral cracks with a screwdriver. After spending an hour doing my best to stop/seal it, so that it was SAFE FOR MY CHILDREN to breathe, I was able to forget it for the rest of our stay, until I removed my fix to leave. The smell was still terrible when re-opened. Dishonesty and covering up major sanitation issues limits you to two stars in my world. We won't be coming back. Once Mike gets the smell fixed, it's a great place, beautiful, really. Great neighbors, great property.

Awesome Place

We call our group Gorgeous Friends and we stayed at this place for three nights. We had a rough start with Mike due to some changes in the number or people and the number of cars that will stay in the property but Mike was so kind to accommodate our requests with reasonable conditions. Our first impression when we get to the place was not so good but we were surprised by how good the house looks like in the inside. It went beyond our expectations. The house is so homey and very inviting. the best part was the backyard with ample space, great deck and most of all the beach. Although the beach needs a little cleaning but all in all it is a great area to spend with family members especially the kids. The Huge fire pit provided us the opportunity to gather around to tell stories and most of all make some smores for the kids. the inside of the house provided us with ample space to prepare our meals. The island with the stove insert was awesome. I have spoken to Mike after our stay and made some suggestions in order to make the place more appealing but those are minor aesthetic changes that he is willing to make as the house currently is more than enough to make us go back anytime soon. Pat, the property manager was very pleasant and accommodating and he made sure that we felt at home, comfortable and safe. The view of the backyard overlooking the beach is awesome and you will experience the best sunrise ever. Our group always want to find new places to discover and with a short drive we were able to explore the nearby places. I will definitely recommend this property to all my friends and again Mike thank you and we wish you were there to meet us. Good luck and we hope that you will welcome us again in the future.

Private getaway

My wife and two kids (ages 6 & 8) had a wonderful vacation. We stayed 6 nights. The location of the property is very quiet, rural and there is very little traffic going past. The property is very long, which eliminated noise from everything but the loudest passing motorcycles. The kids loved the beach. It was a workout to walk southward down the beach. Downed trees and higher water decreased the mileage you'll be able to walk, especially on the windy days with higher waves. There were an abundance of rocks, so be certain to bring comfortable water shoes. There is sand available, but it was a bit difficult to just sit down and dig unimpeded, due to the rocks. Knowing Lake Huron, that probably changes week to week. The two outdoor fireplaces and supplied firewood were a great bonus. We took advantage of the two kayaks and two paddle boats. It was great that they had life vest available for the adults. Off in the distance it was interesting to see the many larger container ships passing by. The house was super clean and well maintained with everything we needed. It was great that bath towels and bed linens were provided. That really simplifies packing and saves space in the car. The kitchen was well stocked. The barbeque worked great. The hottest day was sunny and maybe 83°F but the windows and breeze kept the house so cool we didn't bother turning on the AC. The Television is laughably large. Wifi worked throughout the home (had a work meeting...). Washer and dryer was handy. We drove to Deckerville for food. Decently stocked/sized. We had a nice meal southward at the Stone Lodge, then ice cream at the Port Sanilac Harbor. Mike stopped by and we had some good chuckles. He's clearly excited to be as hospitable as possible. Open and accessible. This is a great place for a family to stay and get away!

AMAZING, BEAUTIfUL view! Clean, comfortable home! Very nice host!

I highly recommend Mike's home on Lake Huron!!! We've stayed at many VRBO homes and this was one of the best! The house is very clean and the living room is very comfortable, with new recliners and swivel, glider chairs. There is plenty of seating for a large group. The flooring and area rugs look newer and are easy to keep clean. The TV is HUGE! The kitchen appliances, cupboards and countertops were clean. The fridge was completely clean, no leftover condiments or food left from other guests (a pet peeve of mine). The deck was where we spent most of our time! It's a perfect place to relax on the comfortable chairs, listen to the waves and watch the changing scenery of Lake Huron! The view is incredible, and the composite deck with sidewalk from the house made it extra nice. Our lab loved swimming every day and we felt comfortable with her off leash because the beach is so far from the road and we rarely saw other people down by the water. We enjoyed eating meals on the patio just outside the kitchen. It has a pergola to give nice shade, with clean tables and chairs to use. We drove to Harbor Beach one day and really enjoyed walking our dog on the Harbor View Trail. It's a very interesting walk with historical information posted along the way and 2 piers on either end of the trail to walk out on. We felt that walking at the house was not the best due to the fast moving traffic. But the house is far from the road so road noise at he house was not an issue at all. Mike was a great host! We could tell it was important to him that we enjoyed the property as much as he does. He stopped at the house to make sure everything was good and we mentioned the grill needed repairs and within a few hours he returned with a new grill for us to use! He encouraged us to call him or his property manager if there were any issues and he would take care of it. Thank you Mike! We had a great time at your beautiful home!

We loved every minute of our stay. The house is very nice, but the yard, beach and view are the stars! We kayaked, swam, and just enjoyed the outdoors. We met the owner, Mike, and he was so very gracious and accommodating. We even met several neighbors who were very welcoming. We had the lovely experience of watching the last supermoon of the year rise over Lake Huron. Spectacular! Definitely recommend staying at this lovely spot.

Simply the BEST

Hands down this is the best rental we’ve ever had. The lake front location is gorgeous. The cottage is very clean and extremely well appointed. We had everything we needed. The owner is kind and very considerate. Everyone had a great vacation.

Family Vacation!

Our host was wonderful! We spent the majority of our time on the beach. The water was clear, and the kayaks were a great addition. We loved to hang out on the deck. The view was amazing. The highlite of the house was the huge kitchen. We had a great family vacation.

Best Michigan Vacation Rental We’ve Had

Mike owns a Michigan gem of a property, and we’re thrilled he’s willing to share it. He has one of the few properties that can boast a beach, and he’s skillfully positioned his home, decks, and rockscape to take full advantage of it. The view is spectacular, the home fully equipped and spacious, and although I’m not sure he can control the weather, it was fabulous too. We had a raucous thunderstorm which knocked out the internet the first night forcing my husband, adult children and me to unplug for a few days. Can that even be counted as a negative event? We spent one afternoon exploring nearby Petroglyphs park, but enjoyed the ever changing beauty nature brought for the rest of our stay. We can’t wait to return.

What a fantastic vacation

This house was Amazing. It was plenty big enough for 9 people. The house was furnished with everything we needed to have a great family vacation. The views from the deck were amazing. We loved having the 2 firepits to use. We had a fire on the beach every evening. The kids loved taking the kayaks and paddle boards out on adventures. Mike was fantastic to communicate with and made sure we didnt need anything while we were there. Couldn't have asked for a better house or location!
