We were so happy to have this place for our stay in Kihei! It was literally right on the water, and quiet! The sunsets were amazing!!! There is really nothing bad I can say about this unit! The unit was exactly as pictured on the Vrbo site - we thoroughly enjoyed our time there!

North Kihei at its best

This was our fourth stay here and it remains our favorite condo and location in Maui. Cannot beat the price and view.

Incredible views

My husband and I spent 3 weeks in this well appointed condo. A very comfortable condo with a king size bed and bathroom with a walk-in shower. Not super fancy but really felt like home. Nothing compares to the view from this place. We look forward to returning

Great place and location

Almost everything you would want at a beachfront stay. Restaurants, food trucks, bars, and grocery store, are within walking distance. The lace is so quiet, we slept to the sound of the waves crashing on the pull-out couch. Cooked dinners and ate outside, even used the community grill. The view is perfect to watch sunsets with swaying palm trees. Overall we enjoyed staying here.

Excellent location and beautiful view

We had a wonderful stay and would gladly return. The location and view are fantastic. The beach is right here and there are lots of good restaurants and bars nearby and a grocery store just a block away. The unit was clean and well equipped (but could use hot pads and new wash cloths). The bed was very comfortable. The weather was so nice that we didn't need to use the air conditioner, but every appliance we used functioned well. And thanks for providing beach chairs.

Great location

The condo was quite nice. Looks like they are in the process of doing some work inside but the bathtub was in really bad shape. Seemed like the top layer was flaking off. We loved the quietness of the unit.

Be aware its on the 3rd floor with no elevator. Didn't bother us. AC is on opposite side of condo from the bedroom, but we never used it. We would stay here again.

>everything was great except there could have been a bathmat for the floor in the bathroom floor was slippery when you stepped out of the shower. Also a place to put soap and shampoo in the shower would be nice. The pace was clean and very satisfactory. Enjoyed my stay.

Expectations

On the site this place looked perfect. To our surprise when we got there it is not a one bedroom, but a separte space with a bed. In the shower we had to shower with the plunger if not ot turned into a bath. Roaches in the kitchen, and had to wear shoes in the condo because the floor had not been washed. I guess the one good thing was the sunsets.

excellent location, perfect condo for a couple

Owner was great and very communicative, property is as listed, we walked right out to the beach, walked to coffee shop, grocery and restaurants. The location on the island is also amazing - easy to get around the entire island from here. The owner kept us informed about what was in the house, it was well stocked for simple cooking and snacks and such. Not promised, but other guests left beach chairs that were most welcome to use. Laundry in the building, not in the unit, and it cost, but we were grateful for the owner providing laundry soap. Suggest that you bring you own larger shampooconditioner. Yes, the kitchen had what we needed to cook a few meals, containers to bring snack with us out on our travels. Yes the kitchen is a bit old, but you don't come here for the kitchen, go sit on that porch and watch the ocean! We loved our visit. Our check in was a bit off because of a new air conditioner being installed, but that was really minor and they kept us informed. We used the fans the whole trip, it was never hot enough to turn the AC on. (April) 3rd floor walkup. We did not even look for an elevator. Everything in the unit worked, the building was nice and quiet, and the views are spectacular. It really was a great location.

Had a great time, location is great

My wife and I spent 6 nights and found the Condo comfortable and welcoming. While the decor is a bit dated, the condo is very clean (and I'm picky about that) and all the appliances work well. There are a few items that could use some maintenance (a few cracked floor tiles, bathroom sink enamel is cracked, etc.) but nothing that detracts from enjoying the Condo or the surroundings. Water pressure is great and the hot water heater works just like it should, as does the air conditioner. The Condo complex itself is quiet, has a small but nice pool, and the common areas are clean. The beach is right in front of the complex and we walked up and down the beach every day, the round-trip is almost a mile. The neighborhood is also quiet, there's a number of restaurants and a full grocery store within 2-3 blocks of the complex. My morning 3-4 mile runs took me to a couple of nice parks and there are wide shoulders or sidewalks the whole way. Overall, a great place, a great location, and the beauty of the beaches in Maui are amazing. I've been to Hawaii many times, including Oahu, Hawaii, and Maui. I seem to be drawn to Maui more than the other Islands, and Kihei fits my vibe well. It's close to Paia and Haleakala, doesn't have the insane traffic jams on the way to Lahaina and Kaanapali, and isn't artificially touristy like Wailea. Overall, highly recommend this condo.

Maui Early September 2023

The property itself is beachfront, the view, phenomenal, especially at sunset! The condo itself, I believe, is listed as a 1 bedroom, however, it’s more of a studio as you walk into the condo you’re in the bedroom, then down the hall, a bathroom on your right and to the living/ sitting area. No real privacy from one space to the other, which worked out okay, but not what we’d expected/ ideal as that’s what we’d expected from the listing. The wall a/c unit was in that living/ sitting area which was great in there, however, not so good in the night when both the heat and humidity were high in the bedroom area, could use another on the wall in that room for sure. We were grateful for the fans! The bathroom shower was slow to drain, and could use a shelf for your toiletries, be sure to bring them, as on our first night the teeny tiny bottle was only enough shampoo for half a head. We had to leave to get more after a day of travel. Also, the unit is in the 3rd floor, with no elevator! Due to both the view and the location, overall, I’d give this a 3.8 rating. Not the fanciest, clean linens, comfortable bed; but could use some improvements for sure. The space is clean, does have the equipment to get the job done, but you’ll need to go to the store on your way in, unless you bring everything with you. Either way, even with the devastation and mourning in the recent wildfires of Lahaina and surrounding areas, Maui truly is a magical place.

Cockroaches on the beach

My husband and I were very excited for our 1st trip to Maui. The pictures of this particular unit do it justice. The location and views were as advertised. However the experience within the condo was grotesques. The 1st night we saw many cockroaches scurrying through the bathroom when we turned on the light to the bathroom and cockroach carcasses on the fold out couch. This explains the cockroach traps placed all over the place. We had to sleep on said pull-out couch as there is no a/c in the dingy, dilapidated bedroom. There was random decorations for various holidays taking up the majority of the closet. It seemed more like a storage locker in all the drawers and closets then a place for visiting guests. The furniture was dated, the drapes were ripped, and the one window a/c unit for the entire place took up 1/3 of the lanai and was very noisy. There were box fans to use to circulate air which were dirty and left no room for lamps to be used in the dark living room at night due to the lack of outlets. There are many other units in this complex that look as though they have been updated recently. The location is truly great as it is central to many things to do, places to eat, and a supermarket within walking distance. The sunset on the beach is magical and turtles are seen on your morning walk. So my 2 stars are for the location, but I would stay far away from this unit!!!

On the Beach

Perfect sunset view through the palm trees. Plenty of towels, beach chairs, noodles and beach toys provided. A quick response from maintenance to fix a small problem. Near a supermarket. Convenient location.

perfect getaway. everything we needed.

The beach and view from the patio is amazing. A wonderful place to have morning coffee and dinner watching the sunset. It's a prime location - just a short drive to so many amazing beaches in addition to the one right outside. Previous guests have left beach chairs and other great items we wouldn't think to bring. We are also planning to leave some beach gear for the next guests.

Our home away from home

This was our third time staying in this unit. We will stay here every time we return to Maui. The location is perfect right on the water. We watch whales reach for my lanai. It’s nice and quiet around here too I feel very safe and right at home. Highly recommend.

Nice location with great ocean view.

My wife and I stayed at this property during a recent anniversary trip. Overall the property was good, but we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the shower / tub. The view was great and good access to the beach.

Excellent location that needs some love

This spot offered the most amazing view of the ocean with the sun setting directly in front of the lanai. The location of the building is a bit busy and touristy but is equally easy to navigate, drive around, and has ample stores, restaurants, and grocery/convenience stores nearby. Inside, the condo is spacious and comfortable for two people. There is ample clothes storage in the bedroom and the kitchen is well-stocked. A couple of things brought down our rating, though: the linens and clothes storage areas smell quite musty and are pretty well worn, the ceiling fans make persistent clicking sounds and the fan above the bed wobbles drastically which made sleeping directly under it a bit frightening, the mattress is extremely soft and the pillows are flat, the condo is definitely clean, but the appliances, bathtub, ironing board, and floor tiles are old, worn, scratched, torn up, and loose. The AC unit is located on the opposite side of the condo from the bedroom, so if you prefer cooler temps for sleeping, consider setting up the fans (I assume other people have left behind) in the bedroom because the AC doesn't reach that well. For us, these small things made the space less comfortable and less enjoyable despite the spectacular view. Note that most restaurants/stores/delivery services close around 8pm, so if you're arriving on a late flight, it's worth arranging grocery drop off ahead of time. Ask Denise for the delivery info in advance, so you have more time to prepare (we got the info the night before arrival, which was far too late to do anything about). We Ubered from the airport, used Instacart for grocery delivery, and used Door Dash for food delivery - all simple and similar to what we usually use at home. So again, location and view are unbeatable, but be clear you're probably scaling back a bit on personal comfort and restfulness. Thanks for hosting us, Denise!

Perfect for us

First time to Maui and I was really hoping for an ocean view, but after researching wasn't sure I would be able to find anything fitting the bill within our budget. But this place was exactly our speed - 2 low maintenance adults who prefer a self-catered experience. Spectacular sunsets as other reviewers have noted. The beach here is good for swimming, paddleboarding, and there was even a surfer here and there. Though there was some debris in sections due to the storm, and the waves can still be powerful so be careful (hubby went out too far one day and a wave hit him up against a large rock and he got some scrapes). It stays quite shallow for a long distance so is deceiving. Complex location is a bit away from the hubbub of Kihei but within 2 blocks there is a grocery store and multiple restaurants, a swap meet and a fruit stand, all walking distance. We enjoyed Tanpopo, and Fork and Salad in the mall complex across the street. An older building but unit's kitchen and bathroom look to have been recently updated. Kitchen had everything we needed including blender, toaster, rice cooker etc. There were some beach chairs and one boogie board which were very handy (no umbrella or cooler). We didn't use the AC. Pool was great for cooling off. There is an outside shower and a few taps for de-sanding. The grassy area between the building and the beach is great for games. Communal bbq was handy too. All in all if you don't need frills but want a view and a beach steps away, this is a good choice for 2 people.
