property and communication with host were superb - the images and descriptions were exactly as shown. You have everything you need to get a fund getaway started in the home. Do yourself a favor and go to Watermans Surf shop and rent golf cart and book excursions. prices are great and she is wonderful

A Perfect Getaway: Exceeding Expectations!

Our stay at Guapinol 4 was fantastic! The property was immaculate, and the amenities exceeded our expectations. The host was welcoming and responsive, making us feel right at home. The location offer a peaceful atmosphere while being close to local attractions. The villa was beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the beach and restaurants nearby.This was a perfect getaway, and we highly recommend it. We'll definitely be back!

Great location

Place was more than adequate. The host, Kathy was very easy to communicate with as far as any questions needing answering. Place is clean, beds were good kitchen adequate. Having the pool just steps away a major plus. Location is outstanding, close to beaches restaurants Tamarindo just ten minute walk. Highly recommend.

Condo rental

Great location, quiet neighborhood. We had a small but well stocked grocery store about a block away and 3 very good restaurants. Very secure building and property. The condo was exactly as listed. Very clean and modern with a great outdoor space and pool. We rented a golf cart for part of our stay. It was a great way to get around. We would highly recommend this condo.

Loved the Villa with the privacy!

I would recommend this Villa to my friends...loved the walking distance to everything...very clean and well equipped...the outside grill was special!

Great little spot

Great spot next to a small market and two restaurants within 5 mins or less walk. Playa Langosta is also 5 mins walk and much less touristy than Tamarindo. We walked to Tamarindo daily for dinner. It was a 15 - 20 min walk. The host was great. Very unfussy and easy going. Great space!

First Time ion Costa Rica

My wife and I and one of our sons spent almost a week at this property. The location was great and the property was spotless. The pool, which was just outside the door, was pristine and very inviting. An added bonus was the fact that the tap water was potable - something that is not always available in the Caribbean and Central America. The beach was a short walk away and a small but well stocked grocery store was a block away. It was nice to be close to the bustle of Tamarindo but at a very quiet property from which we could walk to a number of excellent restaurants. Kathy, the owner, was very accommodating and Willy, her concierge, was quick to respond to our questions.

Oasis in the Playa

The property was spacious, comfy and well equipped. It had all the amenities of home and then some. The pool was a great plus specially on days when we just stayed home. There was parking in front of the unit inside a gate. Willy, the property manager, was very responsive to our inquiries. He gave us a thorough rundown of the property and made sure we knew he was only a phone call away. Overall, we would love to come back and stay here again.

The place was spacious, nicely furnished and decorated, well equipped, and well maintained. The property manager arranged for a rental car and airport shuttle. We loved the pool and our private patio and the quiet location.

Clean, spacious, well decorated and well appointed

We found the villa to be well kept. Clean and decorated very tastefully. Kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils you could need. BBQ worked well. The complex has a very nice pool and sitting area to relax. Villa is located in Playa Langosta which has a couple of nice restaurants and is only a short walk to Tamarindo. Only 2 minor (very minor) issues: water pressure for the showers are low which seems common for the area as we have stayed at other Villas and experienced the same thing. If you plan on using the pull out bed...it is not very comfortable. We enjoyed staying here and would definitely consider staying here again. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids. The kids shared the queen sized bed in the second room. The owner Kathy and her helper Willy were very attentive to our needs and have very good communication standards. They also arrange for the shuttle to pick us up and take us back to Liberia airport. Thank you very much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful Villa.

Outstanding property with beautiful amenities

We stayed for 6 nights at this fantastic villa. It has all of the comforts of home. While we did eat out on occasion we were able to cook most meals here as the kitchen has everything you need. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were soft. The grounds and pool area are impeccable and we spent a lot of time at the pool. There were also pool toys provided for our daughter to play with. The location is perfect as you can walk 15mins to Tamarindo or just 5mins to playa langosta. There is a great small store right around the corner where you can pick up anything you need. Overall we loved staying here and the condo has everything you could possibly need. The property manager met us here for arrival and was helpful in making recommendations about the area. We can’t wait to return!

Absolutely perfect!

So many things to say! The owner was a delight to work with; very quick to reply and help with our inquiries. The pics don't do it justice. The unit was great for 2 couples; plenty of room, everything you needed, fantastic patio to sit out on. The pool was terrific and we met a lot of nice people around it. We were met at the airport by a driver arranged by the owner, thank you! The property manager met us when we arrived, another great touch! The location is just great; close to walk to two beaches which we did most days; seemed quick to walk into Tamarindo along the beach. A little grocery store just around the corner where we got things for breakfast and lunch. We went out for dinner most nights; a taxi into town was only $5. The weather was hot and sunny every day! The people who live in CR are so very friendly! We saw monkeys in the trees across the road; colourful birds; iquanas. We did a sailing trip on the Antares, highly recommend, and an estuary tour that was about 2 hrs. and great! We had memorable meals at Seasons, Dragonfly and Pangas. We went to the Thursday night market where we tried all kinds of food! A week here is not long enough! We are already talking about coming back and visiting the rainforest areas first and finishing up here. Thank you Kathy for a fantastic vacation! Jean/Canada

Christmas Vacation in Tamarindo

What a wonderful experience staying in Tamarindo at Villa Guapinol. The unit was large and comfortable. So nice to have a fully furnished kitchen and although we did not cook big meals it is so nice to wake up and make coffee and sit around the beautiful swimming pool. Another great amenity is having a private washer and dryer designated to this unit. We used it daily to have clean towels for the beach A short walk to Playa Langosta Beach and Tamarindo. The long flat beaches were wonderful for a morning stroll or a more intense run to start the day. Restaurants were wonderful and the people were friendly. What an amazing time we had with our family. The excursions recommended by Alonso and William were wonderful. They were very knowledgeable regarding the area and helping to set up transportation for the adventures. Shopping was abundant and a great time was had by everyone.

Fantastic place to stay in Tamarindo/Langosta!

First of all, the place is beautiful! Great interior design provides the perfect tropical vibe for your relaxation! Really close to the beach, and right in-between Langosta and Tamarindo. Choose your beach! Walking to Tamarindo to beach bars, restaurants, the Saturday Farmers Market, and downtown shopping is a breeze. When you are done beaching it, come on back home to relax around the pool and even fire up the bbq for some home cookin'! Having a fully equipped, private laundry room is very convenient and a life saver for week-long plus stays. The kitchen is stocked up with anything you would need. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and plenty of closet space. AC and ceiling fans keep everything cool throughout. Bottom line for me is that I think I found a place I will return to often! I highly recommend it!

Can't say enough about a wonderful location, clean, comfortable beds, great two private bathrooms, kitchen fully stocked, washer and dryer, and what a relaxing outdoor pool and patio. Touring Tamarindo was so much fun and we even had lobster. The property management company was outstanding. A great thanks to Alfonso and William for helping us with taxi's or giving us wonderful ideas to site seeing. We tried so hard to make each day last and have wonderful memories, but dang vacations go by so fast and now we have to plan another visit. You won't be sorry for this rental !!!!!!!!

An amazing life experience!

Just freshly back from Tamarindo, I can't explain enough what an amazing experience we had! This home is peaceful, in a great location (short walk or bicycle ride to beach access, food, shopping, etc.). Everything you need to thoroughly enjoy your vacation comes provided, including the amazing service of William. A true home away from home, including an amazing pool. Explore Tamarindo and Langosta, find all the amazing things they have to offer, you won't regret it! Thank you for an incredible life experience and Pura Vida!

A wonderful, relaxing vacation

We loved this rental! Perfect size, great kitchen, and the pool was fantastic. We spent a lot of time on the patio and even used the bar b q one night. Not many people around so we really felt like we had a private pool. Alfonso and William were very helpful, getting us taxis and booking excursions. We felt at home at this place and I highly recommend it to others.

Home Away From Home

This was the perfect place for us! It didn't take us long to feel right at home. The condo was equipped with everything we needed. The location of the condo is perfect, the walk to the beach is just a block away, and Tamarindo was easy to get to. We enjoyed riding bikes, hanging out at the pool and relaxing on the patio. Alonso was a game changer for us! He was so helpful in getting us a car and making reservations at a hotel in La Fortuna. That was an amazing trip! All in all we had a wonderful time, I would say Magical! We will be returning, probably sooner than later!

*What did you most enjoy about your stay? It is the true definition of "Pura Vida, Spanish for "pure life." The law of the land in Costa Rica. The expression is used in many forms, from a greeting, to a synonym for "excellent." Ticos follow this lifestyle and are some of the most wonderful people on earth. A synonym of "hakuna matata." Life is wonderful; enjoy it. AND WE DID! *Would you come back again or recommend this home to a friend? YES, WE WILL. AND YES, I HAVE ALREADY TOLD PEOPLE ABOUT IT! *Was the property a good fit for the group you were traveling with? YES. THE CONDO IS AND HAS EVERYTHING ONE, OR A FAMILY WOULD NEED. FELT AT HOME FROM DAY ONE. What nearby activities, attractions, or restaurants did you enjoy? RENTED BEACH CRUISER BIKES, WHICH WERE AWESOME FOR QUICK AND EASY TRIPS TO THE STORE. BEACH WALKS AND SUNSETS. NICE SHOPS TO BRING COOLGIFTS BACK TO FAMILY AND HOUSE DECORATIONS. WENT TO MANY BEACH BARS AND RESTAURANTS AND NO COMPLAINTS ABOUT ANY. BUT PANGUS BEACH CLUB IS A MUST! AND IF YOUR LOOKING FOR AN AWESOME SANDWICH CHECK OUT MATTY'S DELI CAFE, ( 2 BLOCKS AWAY! ) What did the owner or property manager do to provide great customer service? KATHY WAS VERY HELPFUL AND INFORMATIVE WITH ANY QUESTIONS WE HAD BEFORE WE LEFT. ALONSO (MANAGER) WAS OVER THE TOP AWESOME! HE HELPED WITH EVERYTHING FROM HAVING A TAXI WHEN WE NEEDED IT TO ACTUALLY GETTING US A RENTAL CAR FOR THE LAST FEW DAYS OF OUR VACATION! AND BELIEVE ME, WE TRIED EVERY CAR RENTAL IN TOWN AND THEY ALL SAID NOT AT SUCH A SHORT NOTICE! THANK YOU AGAIN KATHY AND ALONSO FOR PROVIDING A TRUE PARADISE!

Stayed for a week. Easy walk to 2 beautiful beaches and shopping. Everything we ever needed was there. Alfonso and William were available to help out with all our needs. great time!!!
