We loved the view of the water and birds and seals from both patios. Neighbors were parasailing and surfing- fun to watch! The Roku tv works but we only streamed movies on our iPads. The WiFi is excellent! The upstairs queen bed was very comfortable. A bear vandalized the locked garbage one night- Stacy and Jason had it fixed up and cleaned up first thing the next morning. It was a great extended stay.

We had a great time on the island. The house was comfortable with plenty of space for us to enjoy. We had a little trouble finding the property, other than that all was good.

Beautiful Beach House

We loved our stay here! The connecting kid's bedroom was perfect for us to keep an eye on our young children. The beach was beautiful and we loved looking for rocks and drift wood. We thought we were going to go into Victoria for a day but we loved it so much here that we ended up staying close to the house for our entire visit. Would love to find ourselves here again some time!

Wonderful waterfront stay

We had a wonderful time on this waterfront property, it was exactly as described. Communication with the host as we were arriving was great and we had no issues throughout our stay. We loved exploring the beach and relaxing on the deck chairs. The kitchen is also very well set-up for hanging out as a group while cooking and game nights. We all agreed that we would like to come back! Thanks for a great vacation!

Great quite getaway.

This place was very nice. It was clean and quiet. Great views of the ocean. The host was very knowledgeable and communicated very well.The information booklet on site had very good suggestions in it. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful ocean front vacation

Such as cute house, very comfortable and private. It is right on the water but important to know that the house is elevated with a steep climb down to the beach. Even if you don't go down to the water (ie if any mobility difficulties), it still has gorgeous views from the windows and balcony, and there are many nearby beaches (within a few miles) that are accessible for all people. From the house you can watch fishing boats, ferries, cruise ships, and kite surfers. Sooke is a marvelous vacation town, there is a lot to do outdoors and few amazing restaurants and breweries. We had a wonderful trip and want to come back. We would definitely stay at this house again.

Beautiful Spot for an ocean filled vacation

We had 8 people-teens and adults. The place fit us pretty well, although it was missing a better layed out living room space for general gathering (get rid of the fake fireplace that doesn’t work and put in a couch or something). We appreciated the amazing ocean view from the bedrooms and decks. Beds were quite comfortable and bedding/linens were nice and clean and plenty of them. A few things lacking were kitchen supplies, pans, bowls, better knives, and bigger fry pans. A little extra tlc in the area of cleanliness would go a long way.(don’t look under the couches and ignore the spider Webs). All in all these things wouldn’t necessarily stop us from going back but you pay a lot of money for getaways like this and it’s a bit frustrating when it doesn’t have all the necessary regular cooking items. Cleanliness can be the thing that makes or breaks another booking.

Beautiful Home Getaway

Beautiful and cozy waterfront property. Owner was excellent with communication and very helpful with our special situation. Would recommend staying here in a heartbeat and will likely come back in the future ourselves.

Getaway

Nice spot, everything as described, Wifi was a bit spotty at times. Also no curtains in kids bedroom which made nap time challenging if you have a toddler. Neighbours dogs are off leash and will come for a visit. should be mentioned that we didn’t have Telus cell service here, but we were picking up US carriers which wanted to charge $15/day for roaming unless we had our phones in airplane mode.

Amazing Spot in Sooke

We love to scour beaches for rocks, and this place was heaven. It's a perfect place to relax surrounded by nature. Markets/conveniences are only 15 minutes away, and Victoria is a beautiful 45 minute ride. The house has great energy and is extremely functional & well stocked. Host was great--easiest checkout process we've experienced on Vrbo. Definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a quiet getaway on Vancouver Island!

One hitch but overall good

Pretty much as advertised. Comfy beds. Property driveway is tricky to spot at first. It’s just before the yellow “slow” sign if coming from Sooke. Had to do a late night clean of one bathroom that seemed to have been missed by cleaners. Notified manager but no compensation was offered. To be fair, I also did not request this. Good communication with Stacey. We were in town for a wedding, with proximity to the venue being our main priority. This fit the bill and met our needs. The view was lovely, but it would have been nice to have blackout blinds some mornings. Overall would recommend if you need a place to stay in the area and need more room than a standard hotel.

Our group all loved the views from the two large decks. The house was clean and well stocked. Access to the beach was quick and easy and the beach was very private. We would definitely stay there again.

We spent five nights here and it was just fabulous. Nicely equipped kitchen with a stunning view! Only downside, we were not lucky enough to see any orcas from the patio!

Beautiful seaside home

This home was the ultimate stay on our family road trip. We were continuously amazed by the incredible views from the kitchen and the 2 decks. The short path down to the beach area seemed magically lined w/flowers and butterflies, and the beach area itself provided quick and easy entertainment with some interesting creatures (crabs, sea anemone, bald eagles an octopus!). The house it’s well appointed, with a nice grill and a fire pit as well that encourage outdoor gathering. The entrance was a bit hard to find initially, which seems kind of appropriate for the jewel of a home that this is. A private oasis w/beautiful views! We thoroughly enjoy our stay here.
