Avalon is amazing!
Although we ended up in 801 instead of 1002, the place was amazing! The view itself is worth every penny. Not only is the view expansive during the day, it is spectacular at night. Loved watching the nightly fireworks show! We had rented here with the intention of trying to figure out if this is a place we could live. It is! The people living here are quite nice and the people working here work very hard. The grounds are immaculate!
Also got to meet Lila's assistant, Civeth, and she is wonderful. Any question or concern was promptly answered or corrected. She is a gem!
The trip didn't quite go as planned (on my end). My husband ended up not getting to go and I got there a day late and left a day early. BUT, it just gives me a reason to book it again so he can see the incredible unit and what a great place Avalon is!!

Breathtaking views and incredible property overall
We stayed here as a family with 2 young kids. If you are planning a trip here with littles see some notes below that may be helpful! The moment you walk into this condo, your breath is taken away by the incredible ocean and city views. We watched the most beautiful sunsets here that we’ve ever witnessed over the ocean! There were a few issues that didn’t take away from the overall experience here. The living room and 2nd bedroom tvs both do not work. The master bedroom was the only working tv, again not a big deal for us. The condo is Incredibly well furnished and decorated with high end and modern finishings- TONS of marble and glass. We were on our kids like glue to ensure no one was hurt and the property was not damaged in any way. Thankfully the kids were well behaved and there were no issues at all however I could see this being challenging for parents of young children. The pool on the balcony is incredible, it was heated and perfect for dipping into at all hours of the day. However, there is an open area that has no glass partition at one end. This could also be hazardous with little children. Thankfully we had no issues with keeping them safe in the pool. The property sits at the top of the Amapas, it was a big climb up and not possible to walk with little kids/a stroller. We had zero issues getting UBER to take us up and down as needed. Daily housekeeping was a great perk! Fantastic staff. Overall we will definitely return!

Great property, but hot water problems.
The property was outstanding, and the views were incredible. Everything in the listing description was spot on. The community pool was also extremely nice with great views over the city. The private pool attached to the unit was so great to hang out in and watch the sunset. Our only issue was that you only got about two minutes of hot water while taking a shower. After about 4 to 5 minutes, the water just turned completely cold. It was to the point we had to go down to the gym to shower.Damaris, the representative who checked us in, was outstanding. She placed numerous calls to building maintenance to have the issue rectified. I believe the issue was mishandled by building maintenance. We were actually in the unit when they came up on one of the visits and did absolutely nothing. At this price point I would not expect to deal with this type of situation. We reached out to the company to see if we could get some type of minimal refund such as 50 a day for all the inconvenience it caused, but they never replied back. There is a beautiful bathtub in the unit that we were unable to use because of this issue. My advice is make completely sure that the hot water situation has been fixed if contemplating this unit.

Nice place but owner is dishonest
We enjoyed our stay at the condo, although it was not the condo that was advertised. More on this later. There is a table on the balcony where we ate most of our meals. The table has some cheap chairs and while we were eating, the chair where my husband sat collapsed. My husband is not a large man, weighing less than 200 pounds and luckily, was not injured when the chair broke. Also, one day while we were out, a glass vase near the window broke on the floor. The owner withheld $140 from our security deposit for the items.
We found the exact same chair and vase on Amazon and sent the owner a link. The chair was $29 and she charged us $100 USD; the vase was $22 and she charged us $40. The price to ship the items to Mexico was prohibitive, so we asked for a receipt for the replacement cost for buying the items there. The owner did not respond for weeks. When she finally responded, she promised to send the receipt, but never did. We offered to work with her to find a reasonable solution, but instead, she ignored us and did not respond to our emails, claiming that she had problems with her server. We were willing to compensate her for the broken items, but we think it is unreasonable for her to charge an arbitrary amount and to make a profit off our misfortune. We are an older couple and we treated the condo with respect. When I was looking for a vacation rental on VRBO, I saw that there was another bad review for this condo, but she had tried to delete that listing with the bad review and created this listing instead.
On to the other issues... the condo was beautiful and the complex is nice and quiet. But we told we were renting on the 10th floor; instead we were given a condo on the 8th floor. The condo pictured had chairs and a coffee table in the living room and we just had a couch, no coffee table or chairs. The condo is listed as having 3 full bathrooms, but has only 2.5 baths. It lists 3 bedrooms, but instead as a plastic mattress on the floor of the living room with sliding doors that you can close off for part of the living room. I would not call it a bedroom. The kitchen is huge, but poorly equipped for cooking. The pool has a heater, but you have to call for the maintenance man to turn it on and then there is a stop so you can only turn up the heat to a certain points; it does not get warm enough to go in. It was basically unusable when we were there in January. There was no Nespresso coffeemaker and very little bottled water provided.

I think it’s time to face this situation, we have certain procedures as properties managers. There was no need to all those threats.
I understand if the chair broke & you don’t want to pay it, is the first natural reaction. But if you try to find a guilty and call us “dishonest” when you never mentioned the chair broken until you left, that is what we call dishonest! Imagine our reaction when we found it broken. You didn’t sent a message same way as you did when you have a doubt or need something from us.
As you said, the table was on the balcony: that means that it resist rain, straight sun, wind & dew. This accident never happened before, & with all the respect that your husband deserves, we always receive people with around 200 pounds.
You said the chair was not assembled property & then "the chair was cheap". I totally understand if you found the chair for only $29 USD by Amazon, but you can not expect us to charge you the same amount when we should look for it here in Mexico and pay it in pesos… It takes time to find it & time to be shipped or buy a similar in any store here, that for sure, has a higher price. If we broke something in your house & expect to give what you payed, you may not be happy too & want us to be congruent.
I treated you with respect since the first touch, I also was flexible & steady. Instead of leaving the apartment & realize the broken items, we could see us in person, talk about the bill and pay in cash as soon as we agree the quote & avoid this situation.
We used to have the kitchen fully equipped, imagine why we don’t let the Nespresso machine in the apartments. We give it personally for practical reasons. I can tell that there are only a few things that the kitchen needs, we have a list of it.
Unfortunately the complex is inside a building & most of the issues are not in our hands to fix. The apartment in the 10th floor was receiving emergency maintenance & it was not a problem for us to send you to another apartment instead of cancelling the reservation. This flat was technically in the 10th floor because the building has a first floor lobby & second floor gym, so this “8th” floor still a good deal, also because was pretty similar.
We don’t provide bottled water because WE ARE NOT AN HOTEL. Now we provide a free jug of water after all the guests requests.
We are not trying to shut your personal review, we are trying to keep things cold and resolve this with the authorization of the owners. Thank you.

Beautiful view of PV
The apartment was as it looked in photos and even better. It is luxurious and very modern. we enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the beautiful sunsets! Will come back again. The only thing I was surprised about is the charge for using the AC... wish there had been more info about that before booking.

Large flat and best VIEW!!
We had a great time at Avalon Towers! We're a family of 6 and had plenty of room in the condo.
The view beats them all! We spent a lot of time just watching the boats go to and fro and we even spotted a whale with a her baby from afar. A great highlight from out stay! It was such a plus for us that there was housekeeping everyday and a washing machine and dryer!
Other than that this is a self serve codo so make sure to stop and get some necessities, food, drinks, coffee filters and you're own laundry detergent. There are no restaurants on location but a poolside bar that moves to the lounge area in the evenings. We were able to order pizza or we just took a taxi (10 mins max) into the city for $70 peco for dinner. We really enjoyed having dinner at El Palomar de los González which is really close to the towers and also has a gorgeous view. The pools were nice. We usually went to the warmer one as it was cooler weather when we were there and often times we had it all to ourselves.
Lila was great and answered our messages and questions. We had a few things we needed help with when there and things were taken care of very promptly.
Note: We wish there was a toaster and a safety gate for the dipping pool on the patio. We have four small children and it never became an issue for us but I think I would have been much more comfortable knowing there was that extra safety feature. We loved out time there and will never forget it. We would definitely come back again!

Thank you so much for giving such a nice comment accompanied by some survival tips :) haha this is really really helpful for everybody, you answer a lot of questions by sharing your experience.
We now have a toaster and we are trying to figure out the security for children; but as you mentioned, you can have a great time in the condo no matter what!
