Wonderful location! Great grounds keeping, beach and pool! Bed and rollout was comfortable! Bathroom and furniture outdated! Small living-room, with not great usage of space, I would Recommend as good place to stay!

Great condo

This was a wonderful, clean condo. My husband and I enjoyed our stay tremendously. Central location is perfect for getting anywhere on the island. The beach and water are steps from the door and everyone we met was friendly and helpful.

It’s a great convenient place to stay. Easy to get to all parts of the island. Just a few things… tub drain clogged upon arrival but it was fixed in a timely manner. The bathroom faucet is loose. Otherwise, a good stay.

Great views, ideal location

Location This condo is just outside Kihei and is part of a large 5 story apartment style building structure. Location wise, it is in an idea location to visit different parts of Maui View The condo is on ground floor and the balcony (lanai) opens directly to the beach. You can walk on to the beach. No streets to cross. Sunsets are amazing from the lanai. That alone was worth it. Amenities The condo is fully furnished and nicely laid out. They've done a good job with the space they have. The kitchen is stocked. It's the perfect size for a couple. We did not use the shared grill area and pool. The condo comes with patio furniture and beach chairs, which we made full use of. To do Kihei is a good place to be in to be able to have manageable driving distances to Kaanapali, Road to Hana, Haaleaka etc. There are plenty good dining choices in Kihei

Amazing View & Quiet

This is a perfectly supplied condominium - there are even small ice chests which we used each day to bring our lunches with us. The condominium is well preserved and everything works well. When you open the sliding doors and use the screen doors, the ac immediately shuts off and as soon as you close the glass doors, the ac starts up - we thought this was well planned. Because of the elevated narrow green lawn at the ocean view, you rarely see any people walking below the lawn - so your view is always of the beautiful ocean without any people. We often left the glass doors open and only screen door so we could hear the ocean. There’s a king size bed which was comfortable and a nice sliding door which allows you to close the bedroom off from the bathroom. While you’re on Maui - we enjoyed driving the road to Hana & stopping at waterfalls and the Lacs Tube Caves. Go see the concierge (Collette if she’s there) and book the Maui Adventure Cruise on a zodiac (rubber large raft) - it’s still a boat with shade and bathroom - but will get you much closer to whales (if you’re in whale season) - whales came up near our boat! It’s very reasonably priced. The large boat cruises to snorkel were more of a party boat (expensive) just FYI - I still enjoyed it and snorkeled 3 times, saw turtles which I loved - but my husband did not enjoy it. I’m writing you in March - we brought our own shortie wetsuits and used them to boogie board at D L Fleming beach park - a real thrill. There are boogie boards for too not much nearby Safeway or you can rent from here at condo.We left our board in closet for future guests. Ask for first floor unit if available - we were in #130 and it was great!

Amazing Location...Unit Needs A Little TLC

My wife and I have stayed at Sugar Beach for over a decade and always have an amazing time. The location is perfect, but this particular unit needs some work. The bath/shower is very old and outdated compared to other units. We were happy that the bed was king size but unfortunately this was the most uncomfortable bed we've ever slept in. The mattress is ancient and every other unit we've stayed in has had a comfortable bed. The room was clean and had everything we needed, but the hard bed did take away a bit of enjoyment as we didn't sleep great during our stay. Overall we really enjoyed our vacation and would stay in this unit again if the bed got replaced.

We have stayed at Sugar Beach many many times. This was an ocean front unit on 1st floor which we loved. The unit is a little tired and could use some freshening. The tub and surround definitely need replacing as does the furniture in the living room. Great kitchen. And as I said great location.

we had such a perfect time! awesome condo and ocean front was the way to go. loved every bit of it. Awesome place can't wait to go back and stay in same place. All you need is a boogie board, sunscreen and slippers. set for a week.

Maui beautiful!! Spectacular beaches were everywhere! Fun for the whole family!

The condo was perfect. There was a sofa bed for one child and a cushioned mat for the floor which made the kids happy not to share. A private master bedroom for us with a king sized bed. The view from the patio made morning coffee an experience. It felt like we had our very own private beach and ocean. The grounds at sugar beach condos are maintained beautifully! We enjoyed the beach in the morning and the beautiful pool area in the afternoons. Thank you so much! We came home refreshed and recharged. We can’t wait to return.

The best location

The unit is dated but you can't beat the location. You're steps to the beach. If you're looking for a luxury condo, this is not ifo you. We've been to Maui so many times that this place is our best yet. Kitchen is updated but the bedroom and furnitures are not. I can't complain. We had the greatest time ever. Definitely will be back to this property.

Great location; only complaint, room needs updating.

Old carpet in living room. Bathroom shower head sprays only 1/2 it's capacity. We stayed 10 days but were given a trial size dishwashing soap bottle to wash dishes. I stayed in 2 other units at Sugar Beach ( both VRBO) before and they were better taken care of than unit managed by Alii resorts.

Try it, you'll like it!

Our 9 day stay in Unit #130 at Sugar Beach was most enjoyable. The building has been around for several years but the unit is in very good condition. Everything was clean and in good working order. Having direct access to the beach right outside our door was a bonus. Support from the Alii Resort staff was first rate. Would we stay here again - absolutely.

Perfect!!

This condo was exactly as advertised. It could not have been better suited to us. I would say no more that 30 feet away from a pristine, sandy beach that is long and quiet. I took many long walks on that beach. The unit itself is the perfect size for a couple. It is clean and is equipped with everything that you need, plus more. The bed was spectacular, I wanted to take it home. We will for sure request this exact unit for any return trip that we may take. Fred and Donna Hunt, BC Canada

Great place to stay!!

We had such a great time staying at this condo! It's just a few steps from the beach and centrally located in Kihei where there are lots of sights and beaches located within minutes of the resort. The sunsets are amazing, there's a place within walking distance to rent paddle boards, snorkel gear, and kayaks. The condo has every amenity that you will need including towels, kitchen utensils, pots/pans, washer and dryer and more. There's also a place to grill in the common area. Highly recommended!
