We enjoyed our stay completely even the rainy days. The place was well furnished and kitchen well equipped. We used the grill several times and relaxed on the patio. Would definitely go back. Short walk to the beach.

Exactly as expected

The apartment/studio is exactly as pictured and has everything you need to cook and sleep. The location is fantastic! The basics are clean, but the nooks could use some attention. Biggest problem is that the closets all smell terrible and obviously are where the house and the sewer meet, so that means you smell and hear every time that anyone else in the house flushes or showers. There were a few times the smell was overwhelming, but there is no way to open a window for fresh air.

Cute house close to the beach.

All in all it was a very nice stay Place was very clean and comfortable. The only thing we had problems with is we couldn't get the door to lock from the outside. Left a message with the owner but never heard back from him. We just didn't want any of his things to get stolen. It was a perfect location too. The train didn't even bother us.

I had emailed the night before our stay asking a few questions and the evolve company didn’t respond until a few days after we had arrived. The floors were quite dirty, leaving our feet black. The property states there is a keurig machine which we purchased k cups for and there is not. The owner is not very quick to respond to texts, and didn’t alert us to the handle to the stove being broken until I reached out to him an hour before our arrival inquiring about how to get in to the property.

Very Dirty

I knew going in this was going to be a basement, it wasn’t bad for what it is but whoever cleans this place or “tries” to clean it needs to go back to step one. The floor was filthy, upon arrival I let my son crawl, after being on the floor for less than 3min his knees were black, and mouse feces in the corners. The area was nice and decent location, but the cleanliness of this place just isn’t up to par. Would not recommend.

False advertising.

To start, we were moved to a different unit the morning of our scheduled booking. It was essentially an upgrade but the cleanliness of this unit was horrific. The apartment smelled like pee. To the point where we needed to use room spray quite often. To second that, we received bed bugs. There were so many ants crawling around on the carpet and furniture to the point when I woke up my second morning, there were ants crawling around in the bed with me. I really hate to leave a bad review but our experience was nonetheless dirty and rather unsanitary.

Old Orchard Beach 7/2021

I didn't know this was a basement unit, however it really was fine. I loved the train going by it was so nostalgic. The location is great able to walk to everything. I enjoyed OOB, the weather was not good, but no one can control that.

Not the best!

First let me start by saying that the communication with the property owner was not the greatest. There was no instructions on how to get into the property since it was a key code entrance, no specifications on which door to use, and I had to attempt to contact property owner numerous times to obtain the code. The listing itself was in a basement (not a big deal but it would be nice e to know that ahead of time) and smelled very musty upon entrance. There was dust everywhere and the floors did not seem clean. There was a bunk bed that was extremely wobbly and seemed like it would fall apart if someone was to sleep on it, we had to put the mattresses on the floor for safety. The listing did not specify what was provided with the rental (I.e sheets, towels, cookware, etc.). Sheets and towels did not feel very clean, there was hair in the pillowcases and stains on towels. The location had good parking and easy beach access.

Wonderful time in Old Orchard Beach Maine!

I picked this property based on the pictures of the living room furniture and the proximity of the beach and pier. The furniture was new and comfortable. The owner was the contact and he was available for any questions by call/text. Off-street parking is a big plus. The place was extremely clean. Grocery store was close, while considered off season there were open restaurants and businesses.

Great location

The best thing about this rental is location- it is steps to the beach and at the same time away from the noise. The apartment itself was pretty dusty- cleaners don’t seem to care enough. Fridge was dirty inside and so was the the dish rack- just nasty. Otherwise space was enough for 4 people, 2 adults and 2 small kids who slept on a bunk bed. I have no plans to return to this same apartment.

Bunks were not made up. Micro oven filthy. Under beds and living furniture was food sand and empty water bottles. Garbage can was full. When we arrive. Had to keep garbage in cottage FOR 5 days. Ask if we needed to bring towels. I was told no. 5 towels for a week wad mot enough. I was under impression daily we get towels. On a more positive note the place was nicely decorated. Access to beach was 👍.

Awesome Beach Location!

The apartment was easy to find and right next to the beach as advertised. You only had to walk across the street to have your sand in your feet. The basement was well equipped with linens and towels, which was a plus considering most other rentals in the area require you to bring your own! I think that someone previously complained about the humidity in the apartment and the train, but neither of these were issues for us. The kids loved the train roaring past and jumped up to see it fly by whenever they heard it coming. The only cautionary statement I would offer is that this is a basement apartment, so any upstairs neighbors are going to sound heavy footed and noisy. This is clearly no fault of the owner, nor anything that could be controlled, but if you are not forgiving of any noise, then keep this in mind. Our upstairs neighbors were only there 2 of the 4 days we stayed and we were really only there to sleep anyway, so we didn't mind at all. Communication with Mike was quick via text and we definitely recommend this property.

Cute place to stay for a long weekend.

Nice place to stay for a long weekend. Plenty of space for a family of four, only downside was the humidity level, could use a dehumidifier as it is a basement apartment. Other than that, great location, close to the beach and a 10/15 minute walk to arcade.
