The house is situated in a quiet and peaceful area within the Old walled City of Famagusta which is bursting with history and beautiful buildings to explore. Everything you need is within walking distance of the White House so car hire is not required. Shops, restaurants, banks, cafes and the mouth watering Petek patisserie are within 2-3 minutes walk.

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus.Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Vermieter ist total nett und war jederzeit ansprechbar. Das Städtchen Famagusta ist wunderschön und die Strände in der Nähe sind traumhaft.

Fantastic property

The property is located a short stroll from the main square, it is a fantastic spacious and modern property, very well equipped and spotlessly clean, there is a small supermarket about 80 metres away and the lady who runs it is lovely, Famagusta old town is a unique location to stay and the walled town has a good selection of nice restaurants and bars, our particular favourites were The Pines and The Garga Tavern. The beach and the deserted city are about 20 minutes walk and please sit on the terrace of the Palms Hotel and have a cocktail, they are amazing and the price more than reasonable. Steven is a brilliant host who goes out of his way to make sure you have a great holiday, we would thoroughly recommend the house and Famagusta it's self, go now before everyone discovers it, We shall definitely return

Perfect Stay

Excellent location within easy walking for restaurants and historical buildings, very comfortable house with all modern equipment , Rental car required to explore other parts of the island/beaches towards Iskele. Not too far to walk to Palm Beach hotel were you can pay a minimum amount to use their pool and beach. Overall a great holiday

Eine gute Unterkunft in guter Lage

Wenige Schritte von den Sehenswürdigkeiten Famagustas gelegen, lassen sich, von dieser gut ausgestatteten Wohnung, die Altstadt und die nahe Umgebung, in Ruhe und zu Fuß erkunden. Für Strandbesuch und Exkursionen in den landschaftlich schönen Norden ist ein Fahrzeug empfohlen.

Das sehr gepflegte Haus liegt mitten in der Altstadt in einer ruhigen Straße. Den Mietwagen kann man vor der Haustür parken. Die Inneneinrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll, und uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Den Sonnenuntergang auf der Dachterrasse zu erleben, wird schnell zum Ritual. Und der Sprechgesang des Muezzins gehört zu den unvergesslichen Erlebnissen, auch wenn man dadurch um 4 Uhr in der Nacht geweckt wird ... Danke Jackie, Danke Steven. The very well-kept house is located in the middle of the old town in a quiet street. You can park your rental car in front of the house. The interior is very tasteful and we have missed nothing. Experiencing the sunset on the roof terrace quickly becomes a ritual. And the speech song of the muezzin belongs to the unforgettable experiences, even if one is woken up by it at 4 o'clock in the night ... Thank you Jackie, thank you Steven.

Location, location.

Situated in a quiet are of Old Famagusta, The White House was ideally located for bars, shops and restaurants. A small, but well formed, corner store was no more than 100m away. A well equipped property, friendly locals, and value for money when eating out combined to make it a great break. One to return to. One suggestion - get an upright oscillating fan as the downstairs patio was very airless. NB - there is a £20 limit per week on electricity - this isn’t mentioned on the HomeAway site.

Great 2 week stay.

Stayed with my wife and son for 2 weeks in August. Lovely large property. Well equipped and maintained. Good aircon in all rooms. Short walk to restaurants and bars. Quiet location. Recommend Palm Beach nearby very clean and calm water. Ate at Historia most nights. Easy parking. Photos are very accurate.

Haven of Tranquility

A lovely property that provides all that is required. It’s very hard to tear yourself away from the roof terrace, as it is so quiet and relaxing with lovely views. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you.

Another enjoyable stay

This was our 5th stay at the White House. It is in a quiet location, In a local street and 15 minutes walk to the beach. With one double bedroom and one with two singles.The best feature is the rooftop terrace. It has sun loungers and a gazebo. A great place to relax with a few cold drinks. The drinks are available at the shop across the street.Very friendly local people. Will return soon.

A lovely house in a lovely place ...

... with everything you could expect for a perfect stay on Cyprus. Looking for a place for my family (wife, daughter, son, and my one-year-old granddaughter) I instantly fell in love with the „White House“, and right, it felt like home from the first minute. Steven, the owner, is such a caring host, as is Jackie, looking after the property, who both made our stay so enjoyable. It‘s been our first time in Northern Cyprus, but it probably won‘t be the last in this very nice location. Thank you for having us.

Oh! What a lovely surprise, so peaceful and lovely

We have been travelling to North Cyprus for our holidays for many years now and previously visited Famagusta for a day visit but, when we saw this property advertised we thought it ideal for a relaxing break without the need to hire a car as we have always done before and decided to try it. We fell in love immediately. So clean, comfortable and so so quiet and peaceful. Steven the owner has furnished and decorated the house with great care and good taste and has supplied everything you could possibly need, and more, to make your stay comfortable. Location is great, short walk to shops and restaurants and , well we were spoilt for choice too with some really amazing food on offer. Wonderful. Delightful local people and so much to see within walking distance. We loved it. Thank you Steven for letting us stay in your beautiful house. We will be back. Jim and Joy

The White House is a magnificent property, well managed by the owner. It provided for us an oasis of tranquility yet should you require -all amenities are within walking distance. An excellent venue to explore Northern Cyprus. We will return many times .

Amazing villa in a fantastic location

We’ve been to Cyprus a number of times and always stayed in an apartment in Iskele. This year we fancied staying somewhere more spacious and where there were options of evening entertainment on foot! And boy did we pick a winner! The villa immediately felt like home with every item you could ever need and loads more besides. And as for the location, well for me, this is the trendiest area I’ve seen in Northern Cyprus, with the exception of Kyrenia. Some fabulous bars with outdoor seating and live music and some fantastic restaurants. We’d originally planned on walking into the main part of Famagusta but it’s a bit of a trek with a buggy and the uneven Cypriot pavements! It’s only 5 mins away by car though and although a car’s not essential when staying at this villa, I’d advise it to be able to go to beaches further north etc. When renting a car either speak to the villa’s owner Steve who will have local contacts or if hiring one yourself, make sure you use a company based in Famagusta not Kyrenia, as the latter will slap on a hefty £50 delivery charge! Should be able to get one for around £15-17 a day and petrol is super cheap out there. Anyway if you’re looking for a well cared for home with all your home comforts, I seriously don’t think you could find better for your money. We’d return in a heartbeat! Oh and Brits, all the plug sockets are UK ones, so you don’t need European adapters. Finally, the owner Steve was incredibly efficient and a fantastic communicator-he really makes every effort for the whole rental process to be seamless. Do it!

Very Nice

This lovely ground floor 2 bed house with a large sunny roof terrace is ideally placed for visiting North Cyprus. The location inside the old city walls is excellent with lots of local shops, bars and restaurants, all within walking distance. The accommodation was clean and tidy and well equipped. The housekeeper Jackie was on hand and a great help.

The White House is a home from home,with lots of sun,everything you need is in the house.rooftop terrace terrific with shaded area.small mini market just a few steps away. Taxis shops cafes bars all on the main road. More cafes bars shops just off the main square. Perfect transport, with polite and very funny driver. Would not hesitate to go again. Beach far mor than 15/20 minute walk, especially in blazing sunshine.Thank You Steven.

Wir haben die Tage bei herrlichem Sonnenschein und einer wunderbar blühenden Landschaft sehr genossen. Die Lage des Hauses ist perfekt, sehr ruhig und mitten in der historischen Altstadt gelegen. Das Haus selbst ist sehr gepflegt und mit allem ausgestattet, das man in einem Haus benötigt. Schöner, gepflegter Innenhof, sehr schöne Dachterrasse. Mit öffentlichen Mitteln - ohne Verkehrsstress - haben wir die anderen interessanten Städte in Nordzypern besucht. Insgesamt empfehlenswert! Wir werden wiederkommen. Danke Jackie, danke Steve.

What a great house.

A property placed in the right location, literally less than 5 minutes walk to all main shops, restaurants and bars within the castle walls. The house is beautiful, fully equipped and extremely spacious, enough for a small family or a couple. Home owner is very friendly and approachable at all times to help and answer any questions. When we arrived at the house it was spotless and a delight to arrive to. Both bathrooms were also very nice and spacious. The balcony area has also got furniture and cushions and extras boxed away so they are clean and fresh for us to use as and when required, alongside BBQ equipment ready to use. Would highly recommend this place.

Third visit

Another great holiday at the White House. We did very little in our week here. Relaxed on the rooftop terrace,used the facilities at the Palm Beach Hotel and visited our favourite restaurants. We wished we could have stayed for longer.

Quality property great location

An excellent base to explore the old town of Famagusta and the rest of North Cyprus. The quality finish of this spacious property makes it so easy to maintain along with easy access to the roof terrace which is a delight. All fixings and sockets are uk standard along with helpful signage to assist in their use. We have visited Cyprus annually for many years and this property is one of the best we have stayed in and we will certainly be returning.

Does not disappoint!

This was our 3rd stay at the White House.....and it just gets better and better. We love being in the old town, we have our favourite restaurants but this year tried Othello as well. Highly recommended. The accommodation could not be better and for our two weeks a year seems like home. Relaxing every evening on the sun terrace with a gin and tonic is perfection... Thanks again to Steve (our absent host) and Jackie

I have been holidaying in North Cyprus for the past 14 years and fell in love with the people, the pace of life, the coast line and the Old Walled City of Famagusta. I decided that I would like to purchase a property in Famangusta as it is much quieter than other areas of the island. One year I stayed in a house within the Old Walled City and it was the best holiday I had ever had mainly because I could walk to the restaurant, bars and cafes and I could forget about my car. My love for property and good imagination lead me to purchase a derelict house. It was a blank canvas that I could work with to create a great home for when I retire.

The White House is located in a quiet and peaceful area but with in 2 minutes walk of all amenities. The house even has its own amazing roof terrace where you can sit and enjoy the views of the surrounding city and port. The house has just been fully renovated and all of the furniture and fittings are brand new.
