Beatiful and quiet cottage

Perfect location to explore north and center Eleuthera. Confortable and well equipped cottage with everything you could need. Very good restaurants in the area. We had an issue with the Internet and Jackie and Laura made everything in their hand to get it solved asap.

This was my lifelong dream vacation spot. Jackie has a beautiful home in a great location overlooking the Atlantic Ocean side of the island. Her home is everything as described online. The bed was so comfortable. Very well kept and clean. Nice large kitchen with updated appliances. Jackie responded quickly for any questions.This offers the comforts of home and privacy. Sunrises and sunsets are the best from the balcony and dining room table. Enjoy yourself future guests. If I could give 20 stars I would.

My wife and I loved our stay at High Seas. The property is exactly as described, but I want to emphasize how peaceful it is—perfectly safe and serene, with only the sound of waves (and frogs!) in the background. Even during the strong winds from Hurricane Erin passing not too far from the Bahamas, the house remained completely quiet with all windows closed. Communication with Jackie was smooth and effortless; he accommodated all our requests and provided plenty of helpful tips for exploring Eleuthera. Starlink worked perfectly, too. We definitely recommend this property.

Perfect on all accounts!

A conveniently located beautiful house over looking the Atlantic. Pictures are accurate as far as all the amenities and set up of the house. Given the central location, it was easy to go either North or South. Super quiet and private location with the hushed sounds of the Atlantic waves arriving on the shore in the background, along with birds chirping and little lizards communicating with one another. At night, look up and all you see is stars...spectacular. Everything worked in the house perfectly. I don't know if the power ever went off as the solar back up system was in place. The rope swings on the porch were great to sit in and contemplate life while reading a book and having a coffee. We used the kayaks which was great as well. Kitchen is outfitted with everything you need and more. The floor plan maximizes the light and the views in the Great Room and the bedrooms were generously sized (especially the Master and the huge master ensuite). We'll be staying here again for sure. Laura and Jackie were very responsive to our inquiries and were always very helpful with tips and suggestions. Thank you for making our 2025 Bahamas trip the best ever!

Staying at the High Seas was the cherry on top of a beautiful vacation at Eleuthera! Before I even booked our stay, Jackie was SUPER helpful answering all the questions I had... rental cars, weather, airports, etc. Booking a vacation out of the country can be stressful, and Jackie made the process super easy! We also booked our rental car through Laura's housekeeper, which was convenient. The house was spacious, clean, cozy, and most importantly, a 2-minute drive from Rainbow Beach (this was our favorite beach!). The house even has a deck, which was great for eating meals outside and watching the sunset. If you are thinking about booking the High Seas... do it! Thank you Jackie for a relaxed and much needed vacation!

Best vacation ever!

Our stay at High Seas was nothing short of spectacular! The house itself had everything we needed and was in a beautiful and secluded area but super close to Rainbow Bay. The house was just as pictured…open and so bright and the view of the ocean was beautiful! Just as important was the communication we had with Jackie. She was responsive and so nice and provided us with great information about the house, the area and the island. 10/10..highly highly recommend !!!

Trip to middle island Eleuthera

We enjoyed our time at High Seas. The house is just as described and the help assistance from Jackie and her local contact Laura made our time there as easy as possible. Rainbow Bay beach is minutes away with an amazing beach and in our experience one of the best beaches on the island. Don’t miss dinner at the “Front Porch” the food and hospitality are excellent.

Our Favorite Island

This was our second trip to Eleuthera and it’s the kind of place that has you looking at real estate and thinking “can I just move here?”We booked this property before we left on our last trip because we wanted to stop by and see the outdoor area and the road to get there. Some places on Eleuthera are difficult to get to and I was wary about that for our next trip. Super easy to get to and the house had everything we needed. We cook most nights and all kitchen utensils and appliances were exactly what we needed. The hammocks on the deck were one of my favorite things. We had a couple days of crazy rain and wind, and the house had games which was really nice. Jackie also checked on us during the crazy weather, which speaks a lot about her as a host. She always answered questions quickly and had a lot of helpful information. The place we stayed previously advertised beach chairs and beach gear that ended up being in unusable condition, so we were thrilled that High Seas had beach chairs in great condition with an umbrella and coolers. The kayaks were also awesome! We would definitely stay here again. The beds were comfortable and the location was great. Thanks Jackie!

High Seas Paradise

We had an amazing stay at High Seas ! Right from the get go the communication with Jackie was comforting genuine. The location high over the Atlantic gave you great views of passing Cruise Ships with the sounds of crashing waves that added to your morning coffee on the deck. The constant breeze kept the noseeums away at night allowing you to enjoy the outdoor space after sunset. Beds were both kings and comfortable and bedrooms were very large. The kitchen had everything you needed with an added bonus of an electric grill for BBQing outside. High Seas came with two kayaks which were located right at Rainbow Bay Beach making it easy to use. The beach chairs were in perfect condition which was important for great beach time. One of the issues with Eleuthera is the constant power outages and internet disruptions. Highs Seas has solar power and Starlink which offered uninterrupted comfort which is so important for a great vacation. If you are active and enjoy long walks on quiet roads then High Seas in Rainbow Bay is ideal. Looking forward to our next stay !

Stunning spot

We had a super time, despite the weather being a little chilly. House was comfortable with nice deck and great view and very quiet. Were games, chairs and snorkeling gear. Not much of a yard for kids to run around if you have them, though we did not see many yards available. Beaches we saw were stunning. Definitely need a car with 4 wheel drive and with decent clearance. Some of beaches are hard to get to. Recommend you stock up on groceries near airport in North before heading south. Do not recommend driving at night, very hard to see, no lines on roads, gps a must.

Lovely Place

Our stay here was great. The host gives you so much inside information about the island, the beaches, local restaurants and businesses, etc. It felt like having a personal guide to Eleuthera. The home is comfortable and has lots of amenities like beach chairs, snorkels and masks, and an umbrella you can use which makes the beach experiences even better.

Beautiful Bahamian feel

Spacious and well decorated! with all the basic necessities & more (the beach chairs and cooler came in real handy).The guide with its instructions and so much information on the island as well as the guest book helped us in making choices of what to do and see during our stay. We also appreciated the comfortable king bed and the huge balcony with ocean view! All at a very reasonable price which helps as the island is expensive!

We loved this place! It was in a great location to explore the area and the entire island. We loved that it felt open and spacious with large rooms and ten-foot ceilings. The A/C cooled down the rooms very quickly when we returned at the end of the day. Jackie has thought of everything and there wasn’t anything we needed that we didn’t have. We loved that she had beach chairs and umbrella, cooler, and a tub of water equipment that made spending each day at the beach easy and comfortable. This home is decorated beautifully with a sophisticated beach vibe. Communication about this property and our stay was immediate. Laura who cares for the property was just lovely … and resourceful. We got stuck in the sand at The Cliffs and she saved the day, sending a someone quickly to pull us out. There was nothing we didn’t love about our experience at High Seas. We highly recommend it to everyone. We hope to be back again. We are already missing Eleuthera!

Great Location

Property was even better than described.Owner has thought of everything for your comfort;all the water toys and even access to two kayaks at Rainbow beach.Rainbow beach is just a 5 minute drive away with parking.Beach was very clean and you can walk out a long way before it gets deep.Another plus was ease of access into the water as the shelf was minimal.Perfect location in the center of the island.

Peacefil and great location to explore the island

Well equipped lovely cottage, high on a hill to catch the breeze. Great to have use of beach chairs, cooler and ice packs, and the kayaks at Rainbow Bay. Awesome communication from Jackie and Laura was super helpful with the rental car . Comprehensive list of restaurants, beaches, grocery stores etc was most appreciated. Really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Highseas.

High Seas was everything and more!! Loved the mornings on the balcony watching the sunrise!!! At night listening to the ocean. Very peaceful place to stay, very clean and had everything we needed!! Rainbow Bay is the perfect place to stay on the island. Walked to Rainbow Inn for dinner, good food and friendly employees!! Rainbow beach is just the perfect little beach. So many beaches to explore, rough roads to get to them but if I can do it anyone can!!! Checking in, renting car from Laura and having her as our contact while on the island was amazing, everything went so smoothly - thank you so much Laura and Thank You soo much Jackie for sharing your precious house “High Seas”!!! I loved every moment of my vacation!!! I certainly hope to be back very soon!!!

Wonderful stay at High Seas!

High Seas was everything we hoped for and more! Everything was as described in the listing and we loved our stay, especially out on the deck, enjoying the varied vegetation, the birdsong and best of all, the view and sound of the ocean! Communication with the host and Laura the caretaker was excellent and responsive to all our needs. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing Eleuthera Retreat

We were so happy we chose High Seas for our vacation! The house was so spacious and bright. The beds were huge and comfy. There was air conditioning in both bedrooms and the main room, and when it wasn't too hot out the doors let in a wonderful breeze. The kitchen was well equipped for all our cooking (and cocktail making) needs. We enjoyed sipping coffee on the deck and watching the sun rise over the Atlantic every morning. The location is nice and secluded, but we were able to get to all the central Eleuthera amenities easily.

I am British and have lived in Los Angeles for the past 26 years, but dream of retiring in Eleuthera one day. Until then, I am happy to share my piece of paradise with you.
