Wonderful place

This place was the perfect place for our family getaway! Beautiful condo with ocean view, great accommodations, few steps from the beach and ten minutes walk from the pier! We are definitely going back next year!

Enjoyed the Apartment

We enjoyed the apartment. It was clean and gave a real beach vibe. The view is hindered by the apartment building in front of it and the motel to the left, but it was still nice sitting on the balcony. I have to say, the wifi is terrible. Intermittent and very slow. That said, most people are just there for the beach, but if you have to work remotely or you enjoy the internet, you will be disappointed (management did say they were looking into fixing it). It is next door to the motel that owns it and where we needed to pick up and drop off the keys. The gentleman who check us in was very pleasant and we dealt with him the few times we visited the motel office. However, on check out, the woman behind the desk was very rude and short with me; so much so, that I doubt we will return (we have stayed at the motel in the past, as well--which I'm sure we won't do again). All in all, a good experience, but being treated like a complete bother at check out, really left a bad taste in my mouth (thus the 3 star overall rating).

Spacious

Property was spacious for three adults. Kuerig supplies were available at the office next door. Plenty of towels and stuff. WI-FI was slow. Access to the beach was just one house in between. Even though several restaurants, shops and arcade in Old Orchard was shut down or had limited hours in October, there was enough and we enjoyed the quiet. All was great!

Honeymoon Stay

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our time at Sandy Shores and Old Orchard Beach. Alas we didn't see all we wanted and the stay wasn't long enough. We want to come back and experience Old Orchard Beach and Maine again. Thank you for hosting us.

Clean cottage, nice ocean view

We enjoyed our stay here in Old Orchard Beach. The cottage was clean and comfortable with a nice view of the ocean. This was a good location for visiting family in Portland without paying much higher Portland lodging prices, and for venturing out for autumn day trips to Camden, Boothbay Harbor and Kennebunkport. Checking in and out was simple and the ladies at the front desk offered tips for where to eat and grocery shop locally.

Great home away from home

The place exceeded our expectations. It was spacious and clean. The front desk was also super friendly and helpful. The WiFi worked well but we noticed it was better downstairs. The beds were uncomfortable and we could feel every movement in the house while laying down. Still this wasn’t a big deal. It was a wonderful place to stay. We highly recommend it. Thank you.

Great place!

This was a great place to stay, although not directly on the sand we had ocean views and it was just a short walk across the parking lot to the beach. The unit was spacious and clean. We enjoyed having daily towel service which you usually don’t get when renting a condo. As stated by another reviewer the beds are not great but the motel staff was happy to help with toppers and extra mattress covers. They even provided us with beach chairs! We will definitely plan another stay here!

Nice Location

Location is great. Easy access to the beach. Roomy and open. We thought the Kitchen was scarce on supplies until we realized the dishwasher had not been unloaded! So check the dishwasher...The beds are all king size, however, extremely hard. On check out, we discovered that they are soft bedcovers available, so ask if you find the beds hard. Ice machine was nice to have close by. We have to agree with another review that the washer and dryer being available is misleading. They are in the hotel and are coin operated. They are not in the unit. The staff was great and friendly and accommodating. The dishwasher was not draining correctly and was fixed within an hour. One other thing was that the people in the unit below was were smokers. You could smell smoke in the stairway and sometimes on the deck. The deck is great. You can see the ocean and it does not have a stairway so it's safe for the kids. Overall, our favorite spot on OOB so far.

Great Unit in a Great location

Overall, this was the perfect property for our stay with 7 guests. Everything was great except for 2 things: 1) The Wi-FI was spotty; and 2) Housekeeping didn't always get to the unit so we had to go get our own towels and toilet paper a couple of times. But aside from those two minor things, it was perfect! We will definitely return next year! One other note: I would mention in the description that there is a unit below this one and that there are 3 flights of stairs to get to the unit in case someone has trouble with stairs.

Mississippi to Maine

Cons first because I prefer to end on a positive note. WiFi was supposed to be improved but was still not good enough to stream anything on our devices. Ad stated washer and dryer available which is true however it is not in the condo, it is located at the hotel basement and costs $2 per wash load and $3 per dryer load and one of the dryers wouldn’t dry a load in one cycle so we spent $6 to dry one load of clothes. Housekeeping forgot to lock our unit back and we did not like that. We were also concerned the top floor was possibly haunted as frequently we heard footsteps above our head and no one would be awake to be walking, literally searched the entire second floor closets and under the beds in all rooms because of this. Now the good things which far outweigh the negatives which were all minor things that can be improved. The unit was very clean and was adequately stocked with appropriate cookware. 2 of the 3 bedrooms had a tv to watch. Beds were decently comfortable. Unit is located almost directly on the beach with just one other condo between us and the beach. Sunrises are absolutely gorgeous from the balcony. Staff were all very friendly with great customer service skills. Office had dvds available to borrow and watch. Location is nice, you get the small town feel with larger city of Portland availability just a very short drive. If I ever decide to return to Maine, although this chance is small, I would most certainly choose to stay again in this condo and would recommend to anyone else looking to stay in Maine on the beach.

3 Night Getaway

Nice clean updated place on/near Old Orchard Beach. Wifi could use an upgrade and maybe the mattresses. Definitely would come back again!!

Excellent rental

This was by far the best place we’ve ever stayed at OOB. Great location, clean like immaculately clean which was a concern of ours but very pleased with cleanliness. Friendly management and workers . Parking was exactly as stated and I loved that because we had our adult children come up with our grandsons .They had a place to park which is unusual typically at any beach. It was a perfect Stay and we’re going back next year. Highly recommend .

Beautiful Condo

This condo has the benefit of ownership by the motel next door. The check-in process was smooth, and we were extended all the amenities of hotel guests, such as breakfast items, k-cups, use of the motel pool, etc. The condo itself was very clean, spacious, and modern. It also has a balcony with a respectable view of the ocean. The only thing close to a problem we had was that the wi-fi signal was extremely weak. I suspect it was coming from the motel next door. I ran speed test and at best it ever got was 5mbps. Granted we were on vacation to be somewhat unplugged, however our son had a zoom meeting for school and he was unable to maintain a connection. o compound matters, the Verizon towers are weak in the area as well, so we weren't able to use our phones as hotspots. Honestly, the wi-fi wouldn't have been an issue for us if not for that. However, I'd like to caution anyone who requires a strong internet signal. Outside of that one issue, I would be glad to stay here again!

Ocean front paradise

What a great condo. Yards from an amazing beach. This unit has the benefit of ownership by hotel next door so someone is there to help as needed. We had a great stay and hope to come back again. Beds were comfortable and the layout was great with bedroom upstairs and the living area downstairs. Kitchen was great and the view from deck was priceless.

Great place to stay

Easy check-in. Very clean. All three bedrooms are upstairs with king sized beds and own heating/cooling unit. Nice location with easy walking access to the beach. Easy parking in early May but would likely be cramped at peak season. Communal pool is outdoor. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend!

House was very nice and a great location for the price!

We had a great time. The only complaint was, for a house that can sleep up to 10 the living room cannot accomadate seating for 10. There is only 1 couch (seating for 3) and 1 loveseat for everyone. Also, every day the cleaning people left the house wide open and unlocked after the service! Not cool!

An Autumn Delight

Our condo was one of two places that housed several family members for a family reunion that brought people from Colorado, California, New York, North Carolina, Nevada, and Massachusetts. We thought the place was great--bright, airy, roomy, clean, and conveniently located. Would certainly return!

Excellent location, clean and staff very friendly.

The location was perfect! Only a very short walk to the beach and close to Portland, York, Kennebunkport and other exciting small towns. The condo was very clean with king size beds, lots of windows and a deck to watch the sunrise over the ocean. Highly recommend this place.
