Ann was in communication for a few months before our arrival helping with planning our trip. Upon arrival she greeted us at her home. We had a group of 10 adults, great space for a large group. The ocean view and breeze was fantastic - a few fun places to explore within walking distance.

The ambience, the atmosphere, and the host made our vacation out of this world. To top it off, Chef Geoffrey’s dishes were amazing and delicious. This was truly the most enjoyable vacation we have ever had.

What an amazing stay during difficult times!

The villa is a true haven with all the amenities needed for a special vacation. In spite of a compulsory quarantine, we loved our time at Larimar and can't say enough about the thoughtfulness and care we received from Ann and Colin. I highly recommend this special place and can't wait to come back!

Perfect slice of paradise in Barbados

This is the perfect house for large groups of friends and families. Ann is one of the best hosts I've ever had the pleasure of working with and Chef Geoffrey is worth every penny. The home is is designed and decorated perfectly to provide guests the room to relax in quiet while also bringing the group together for days and nights around the pool, bar, and dinner areas. It's a very quick ride from the airport and 20-35mins (depending on time of day) to the west side of the island/Bridgetown. I can't recommend staying at Larimar enough.

This was our family vacation for 9 nights which included ages 7 to 70. Ann and Colin greeted us upon arrival with open arms. Immediately we fell in love with the villa, it was everything we dreamed of. There was plenty of space for 14 of us, lots of different seating areas, pool was perfect and used EVERY day. Loved the various decorations throughout the house, very cool We took advantage of using the services of Chef Geoffrey and his assistant Maggie for quite a few meals and they were amazing. It was nice to be spoiled!We did many day trips but always looked forward to getting back to the villa to enjoy every minute we had in it.Thank you again Ann and Colin for sharing your gorgeous villa and we hope to be back some day.

Definitely Paradise

This was an amazing trip for my husband's 50th birthday with close friends. There were four couples and we each had our own privates quarters. The location of the villa is perfectly seated on a cliff in paradise. Chef Geoffrey was amazing! We were spoiled by his daily Bajan cuisine. Ann was so helpful and extremely responsive to every request. She made it happen, evenadding my husband's picture to the birthday menu at Champers! Thank you all so much! His birthday was perfect in paradise!

Exceptional Property

What an amazing experience! Everything was great. The property is lovely and was a great time for us to celebrate my wife's birthday at with a group of our friends and family. It comfortably slept 11 of us. It was very accessible to several beaches. Shark Hole was excellent--well shielded and mostly devoid of sargassum (there was some on all of the other neighboring beaches - in July). We ended up taking Ann's recommendations for services and were delighted with the experience. Chef Geoffrey was impeccable and easily handled all meals for our group, including working around gluten and dairy allergies. Kerry and her team of masseuses were excellent and very professional. And Shane the taxi driver was very helpful and accommodative of schedule changes. Throughout the whole experience, Ann was wonderful. She was responsive and answered questions throughout as we planned ahead of our trip. She was sincerely interested in making sure we had a great experience and kept offering to help in anyway or provide more recommendations.Likely will end up rebooking this VRBO next time we come to Barbados. Just such a great trip!

FABULOUS SERVICE!

You will not rent a villa with a more helpful owner, the equivalent to having your own concierge to help you with chef, massuese, driver, anything and everything you need for this stay. The villa has many outside gathering spots with a beautiful ocean view down a long piece of property on the cliffs. The upstairs three bedrooms are lovely and newer than the downstairs rooms. Chef Geoff was an incredibly sweet man who met our every request for every dietary restriction and requests. The villa is about 35 minutes away from the swimmable beaches, and a 5 minute walk to a small beach that doesn't have a lot of room for bathing in high tide. But it is a really fun gathering spot for a large group, with Ann helping with every possible request during your stay so the planning is incredibly easy. You could not find a more lovely and helpful owner!

There are lots of hidden gems / beaches close to Larimar. In fact there are 10 beaches within 10 minutes. Crane Beach being the most famous and consistently voted one of the Top 10 Beaches in the World, is 5 mins drive from the villa! Check out oliverstravels . com ‘Top 10 Barbados Beaches’ which also features Shark Hole and Bottom Bay. Further afield you’ll find Miami Beach which is a 20 minute drive then Sandals, Dover etc. another few minutes on. Crane Beach also has a great beach bar open to the public, The Grove Beach Bar & Restaurant, its a favourite for our guests staying at Larimar. The Crane also has some amazing restaurants at the resort. We look forward to welcoming you again next time and I am buying you the drinks on Crane Beach. Thanks again Katherine xx

As I was joined by six friends and three delightful kids, each moment was accentuated by the elegance and luxury that is the hallmark of this stunning property. Ann’s attentiveness and care transformed my special day into an experience that will be cherished for years to come. The property is a masterpiece. Nestled on a cliff, each window opens to breathtaking ocean views, a constant reminder of the island’s serene beauty. The rooms are spacious, offering privacy and luxury, while the communal spaces echo with laughter and shared memories. Chef Geoffrey deserves a special mention. Every meal was a culinary journey through the island’s rich flavors, making dining at the villa one of the highlights of our stay. His skill turned our meals into events we looked forward to, a dance of flavors that we reminisced about long after the plates were cleared. Though our stay was brief, the magic of Larimar Villa, amplified by Ann’s gracious hosting and Geoffrey’s culinary masterpieces, has left an indelible mark. Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony

I cannot emphasize enough how spectacular this place is! My wife and I wanted to renew our wedding vows (30 years) and Larimar was the perfect location based upon the location (Barbados), pictures of the place, picturesque view, number of bedrooms, amenities, seclusion. Larimar exceeded our expectations in every way! Our host Ann, is thoughtful, responsive, helpful and very accommodating. 5 stars! With Ann's help, we were able to get floral arrangements, a priest to bless our rings and the our marriage, excursions and recommendations on food, especially Chef Geoffrey. Hiring Chef Geoffrey was absolutely the right choice! Prices were better than eating at inexpensive restaurants and who wants to cook for 14 people on vacation? Chef Geoff is an amazing talent, extremely helpful, personable, kind and very knowledgeable about Barbados. His recommendations on places to eat, to visit, beaches to go to, bars, etc were all spot on. The pool was perfect for the humid days and for sipping rum drinks of course. So many places to hang out and play games, have drinks, and to socialize. Our wedding vow renewal ceremony was on the plateau with the ocean backdrop. We couldn't have asked for a better location!

Dreamy vacation

PERFECT week in paradise with family. When we booked Larimar 6 months out, we expected it to be really nice. The experience absolutely exceeded our expectations. At arrival, we were welcomed by Ann and Chef Geoffrey with rum punches and mini sandwiches. The house is beyond beautiful. And spacious... more than enough beds and bathrooms for our group of 9. Everyone, adults and kids alike, was happy with their room. The walls are adorned with cool, hip art work, fun memorabilia, huge champagne bottles, beautiful framed mirrors and coral fans. The large lot, on the edge of the ocean is on the quiter side of the island, with 3 beautiful beaches in walking distance. The pool, gym, fun bar room and sitting areas everywhere were great. This property is truly one of a kind- we felt like VIP guests in someone's dream home. Also, Chef Geoffrey was sensational. He had delicious Bahan food on the table whenever we wanted and was happy to fulfill special requests. The bar was stocked with a great selection of beer, wines and champagne for us. We couldn't have asked for more accomodating hosts. They go above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect in every way and respond quickly when contacted. They arranged several great restaurant dinners for us and an unforgettable sunset catamaran dinner cruise. We made so many EPIC memories here and can not wait to come back. Trust me... do not hesitate to book this property. You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful location and Sooo Much Potential

I read all the wonderful reviews before renting and had high expectations. We travel frequently and rent high end homes with staff and chefs. Hosts - amazing, responsive, helpful! Chef Geoff - the number one reason we loved this place. He planned the menu, did the shopping and delighted us 3 meals a day for our entire stay! Pool - the pool is lovely and where we spent the majority of our time. View - amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean. I will hold it in my mind for months to come. House - Some rooms are outside of the main house with separate keys. The beds in all the rooms were comfortable. A few things took away from the experience and is the reason for 4 stars. 1. House is very cluttered. Knick knacks everywhere. The bar has a lot of empty and dusty bottles, random things (baskets hanging with stuffed animals in kitchen). Decluttering would enhance the experience. Laminated signs (take a shower before bed if u use tinted sunscreen) also detract. 2. Furniture doesn’t fit the house (style is more baroque and old fashioned). Cushions (inside and outside) are stained and/or torn, covered in blankets and randomly arranged. There is a big dining table in the middle of the living area with no chairs. 3. House was not as clean as expected. Windows on doors to outside were dirty. Cobwebs and dust throughout. 4. Hammocks - also a favorite spot. The house has such potential if recommendations are considered.

What a pleasure to meet you Kim and the 5 ladies in your party. Pleased you enjoyed your stay at Larimar and chef Geoff. The villa caters to all, including children, hence some of the decor etc. The glass table in the foyer of the villa, is a centre piece, and not usually used as a dining table, but you would have been welcome to dine there if you wished by simply moving 6 of the 24 chairs from the other dining tables. We pride ourselves on presenting the villa in an immaculate condition, however there may be some spots of salt on the exterior windward windows at the villa, as we are right next to the ocean. We would love to have had the opportunity to address any of your concerns whilst you were here, as you know we are extremely attentive and proud of our product, something we demonstrated by attending the villa at 2 am to assist you when you locked yourself out. We wish you all the best and look forward to seeing you next time.

Beyond 5 stars Stay

I can't say how much we have enjoyed our 10 day stay at Laimar Villa! Everything was perfect....from communication with Ann, the Chef, the stay, the view, the weather and so so much more. Great time in Paradise!

We had a great time celebrating my husband’s 50th Birthday. Ann and Colin were great hosts. Ann was very helpful in the planning process, providing referrals for excursions and transportation. Chef Geoffrey prepared the most delicious breakfasts every morning and Stephanie was very friendly and helped us to keep the place clean throughout our stay. We loved waking up to the beautiful and the Villa is just as pictured in the photos. Overall as great time in Paradise:
