Good home base for exploring Paris

Stayed here for 6 nights with a family of 4 (2 adults / 2 children) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location is convenient to multiple Metro stops, and neighborhood has plenty to offer in terms of food options. Combo washer/dryer was great as it allowed us to minimize the amount of clothes we needed to pack, given we were traveling through Europe for 2.5 weeks.

Fantastic location in the Marais, reasonable price

This is a great location. The apartment is clean and quiet since it is on a side street. The only improvement would be to have English instructions for the washing machine and a list of nearby places for drying (it’s a lot quicker).

Close to everything !

A wonderful location...close to restaurants and cafés, Place République only minutes away. We were three adults and the space worked fine for us even with one small bathroom. One note...this unit is on the 4th floor with no elevator.

Family of five

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at David's apartment! Plenty of space for our family of five. We LOVED the neighborhood and felt safe in the evenings. Walking distance to many attractions and a five minute walk to the Filles du Calvaire metro for anything further away. Washer/dryer was a bit confusing at first, but once we found English instructions online, it was extremely helpful to have in the apartment. We would return to this neighborhood and apartment!

Great place in Le Marais

Overall, the apartment was just as advertised. It is in a perfect location. You can walk to most of the sights within 20 minutes. It is a lively and safe neighborhood. Grocery stores and, most important, several pastry shops are within a block or two. Lots of cafes as well. The only suggestion I would make is that there are no numbers or identifying marks on the door of the apartment. When we arrived for the first time, the keys were in the lockbox exactly as described, but we had no way of knowing which of the doors in the building were ours. We ended up trying most of them before finding which one opened for us. Overall our family of 5 really enjoyed staying there.

Very Convenient Location

We booked this apartment as we have 2 teenage kids that needed beds (as opposed to sofa beds). Both beds are queen size (Australian standards). We were advised before hand that there had been a water leak in the above apartment that had affected our toilet and bathroom which gave the apartment a damp smell - I am sure this will be all fixed up shortly. This apartment is so conveniently located to several metro stops and bus stops. Lovely neighbourhood with places to eat, patisseries and cheese shops in walking distance. There is a small supermarket around the corner which was great. Kitchen is small and basic but had everything we needed to make a simple meal. Apartment is small and cosy and heating was sufficient to keep us toasty.

So convenient and close by everything

By European standards, this apartment is quite spacious. It is well-appointed with the necessities and cozy. I would categorize it as a no frills place that is as close by to the center of paris as you can get without spending a mint. the neighborhood is awesome. Great restaurants within walking distance and great grocers and butcher shop right up the street. Very safe neighborhood. Dave was awesome with is communication and incredibly responsive. the street has terrible cell phone reception so I had trouble getting in contact with our greeter when we first arrived, but after I figured that out, we were all set and quickly brought upstairs. Contrary to how many listings advertise two separate bedrooms when they really mean one room and a fold out couch, this place actually has two real bedrooms. No complaints.

Paris at its best!

The property was great and met our needs perfectly. We spent our days exploring the City of Lights and crawled into comfortable beds every night. The separate toilet from the bath is a great idea when there are 4 adults sharing the premises. We would come back anytime.

Great, safe neighborhood

We enjoyed the ambiance of this area of Paris. The neighborhood is very safe. The apartment was clean and just as described. The only thing that could have been better was the plastic mattress covers and tiny pillows. When it is hot weather with no AC it is very difficult to sleep on a mattress with plastic.

Agree the neighborhood is very safe. I'm also happy to hear the apartment was just as described and of course clean as it should be. As for the mattress covers, they are needed to prevent stains. Sorry to hear you were not satisfied with them. I'm checking on the pillows because I'm somewhat confused by your comment about the size? There are many pillows in the apartment, mostly down pillows and recently we added some synthetic pillows for people with allergies. The sleeping pillows are typical size for Paris and in my own experience sleeping in the apartment, they are at least average size for Paris. I'm certainly going to follow up on this aspect of your stay. It was a pleasure to host you! Dave

Nice location and felt safe here

Comfortable place and it had everything we needed, including a wine opener:) Could stand a wee bit tender loving care...paint peeling in the shower area and wallpaper peeling in the hall. Was close to everything- restaurants, groceries, butchers, boulangeries. It was an ideal place!

Vibrant Paris at your door step

We loved our stay. Right in the heart of a wonderful area with boutique shops and cafes. Fabulous to step outside and have everything at your fingertips. The park down the street was gorgeous for reading in the sun. The restaurant at the bottom of the building served delicious, fresh food. The apartment worked well for me and my 2 teenage boys. Some instructions on where to find the bedding for the sofa bed would have been helpful, but that is a minor point. I am sure we would have received that info upon check in, however we let ourselves in using a key that was provided in a locked box near the apartment. Very easy and all communication prior and during our stay was prompt and friendly. We really loved being in a residential part of Paris, with lots of locals and not too many tourists :)

Great 2 bedroom apartment in marais

Great location in marais. Beds were very comfortable. Clean. Lots of space and quiet. Close to subway. Kitchen was well appointed so we could cook. Owner had someone meet us there on arrival, which was helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Marais apartment

Lovely apartment in a great location. The small street made for easy Uber pickup and dropoffs and the Metro is very close. The furnishings are quite tasteful, comfortable and look to be new. The kitchen is small but quite efficient with everything you need and has full size appliances. There are quite a few steps so may not be ideal for someone with a lot of luggage.. Federic was great in accommodating our schedule and giving us the neighborhood info. We loved our stay here.

Wonderful apartment

Dave’s apartment could not have been better for our stay in Paris. It’s centrally located in the Marais, a short 10-15 walk to the Seine, the canal and many shops, restaurants and museums. The apartment is spacious, full of light and very accommodating for a group. Arrival and departure were a breeze and communication was excellent leading up to, during and after our stay. Highly recommend.

Great apartment in perfect location

We just returned from a weeklong stay in David's apartment in Le Marais. It was a great choice for our family of four, as the two bedrooms provided ample space for two adults and two children. The kitchen, while small, never left us lacking for anything and we even cooked a few meals at the apartment. The WC and the washroom were separate, which - while typical - took some getting used to but was not a big deal. The living room was very comfortable with a huge window looking out on the neighborhood below. Speaking of the neighborhood -- this is where the apartment earned five stars for us. The apartment is on a small side street just steps from Rue de Bretagne, which is a lovely and very useful high street with everything you need -- restaurants, cafes, wine stores, groceries, patisseries, a pharmacy -- and allows you to assume the life of a real Parisian. We spent lots of time just exploring the small streets of the neighborhood and didn't run into a lot of tourists -- which is how we like it! The real highlight for us was the lovely park just three blocks away, which was the perfect spot for our children to mingle with locals at the start and end of each day. The apartment was also an easy walk to several different lines on the Metro, which we used frequently to explore other areas of the city. Overall, we were very happy with the location of this apartment and felt like we couldn't have made a better choice for a family visit to Paris.

Great pied a Terre

We spent a wonderful three days in Paris. The apartment was very functional and met all our needs. The location was great for neighborhood walking and all forms of transportation to take us further afield. David and Frédéric were very helpful and gave us assistance and understood our needs. Would stay again in a heart beat.

Amazing space in the perfect location!
