The bathroom was in need of lightbulbs and the outdoor light didn’t provide enough light to actually see the keypad so I had to use my phone light every single time in order to get inside ad night. The location is perfect for walking in Gatlinburg and we enjoyed our stay.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, our stay at Olde Gatlinburg 606 was fine. The location was good for shopping and dining, however, we were there to hike in the Great Smoky National Park and getting to and from the park was difficult due to the fact we had to pass through downtown Gatlinburg to get to and from the park and the shear mass of people in Gatlinburg for the 4th of July weekend made it extremely difficult to do so. Not the fault of the vacation property, just bad timing on our part. The condo unit had a leaking exhaust fan in the bathroom that made it difficult to use the toilet without getting wet, but it did get fixed.

Don't get the cheapest room!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Number 606 is very basic, hasn't been deep cleaned in a while. The furniture is old, sit on the couch and you sink down to the bottom, pink chair needs cleaning or trash. Bedroom linens so old they have no color, room shelves and bedframe old wicker. The mattresses are beyond squeaky! The bathroom is decent but could use a fresh shower liner.The kitchenette is equipped with utensils etc which is good. Balcony is nice, location is definitely the best thing. I would splurge for one of the "more expensive" rooms if you are picky in any way. Check in and check out is no contact, via email.

Nice place to stay, walking distance to aquarium.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had originally rented another unit, but checked in and it was very outdated, and dirty. We were switched over to this unit. It was nice and clean. The blinds out to the patio were broken, the bathroom fan wasn't working properly, the toilet was probably on its last leg. The kitchen needed some measuring spoons. The unit also needed a broom so you can sweep up crumbs, etc. The shower was great! The service was top notch. Our coffee pot broke and it was replaced right away. Overall, these units are older, and probably need someone to go through them and update them a little bit. But it was in a nice location, and clean. No dishwasher, but they provide liquid detergent and towels. The kitchen sink was also slow to drain. I hope this feedback helps the owner as well. We would stay again if we come back for sure. Nothing was a "deal breaker." Thanks so much for a nice place to stay!

The mattress definitely needs to be changed out as it is extremely old you can tell. Also the microwave does not work. I tried to pop a bag of popcorn for 10 minutes and it never did do anything. I think it's about 20 years old. Other than that we had a good stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were moved from unit 605 to 606 approximately an hour after our arrival due to 605 being just......horrible. Unit 606 was a greatly welcomed improvement. The pictures shown here are before it was updated with new hardwood flooring & new furniture. Aside from cigarette burns on the bathroom sink & the living room AC being loud when on, we enjoyed our stay. Sad to say that Olde Gatlinburg Place has truly gone downhill.

Winter Getaway room #606

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second time staying at Olde Gatlinburg. It’s within walking distance to the Parkway and parking has free for guests staying in the complex. The 1 bedroom unit we stayed in was clean and cheaper than staying in a hotel. Linens were also included...we were pleasantly surprised to find 6 bath towels (rented the unit for 3 nights). The lady working the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We will rent from them again the next time we plan a trip to the Smoky Mountains.

Disappointed in my stay

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First we were given the wrong room. First we were given the wrong room. Luckily the people who already rented the room were not there but it was still a very awkward feeling. Then after being given another room key, had to struggle to unlock the door every time we try to enter. The room was very dirty and the carpet was very bad. The couch cushions were in terrible shape. We stayed here last year for New Year's and were very pleased. But this year we were not. But this year we were not. I will only stay here again if I can book directly from the owner of the condo to see photos before we arrive.
