Casa de campo totalmente actualizada enclavada en el bosque marítimo. Corto paseo a la playa y sonido. Ven a disfrutar de toda la belleza que Crystal Coast tiene para ofrecer. Ande en bicicleta hasta el acuario o practique kayak en el sonido de uno de los muchos parques de la ciudad. Wonderful stay in quiet neighborhood

This was our second visit to Shelter by the Sea and again, the property was very well managed and the house was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed the quiet location in Pine Knoll Shores and would definitely stay here again!

Weekend Getaway

We booked this perfect spot for a wedding weekend and loved every minute of our stay. The home was super clean and had much more to offer than we needed. This would be a great location for a week long vacation.

Spring break vacation

This is an amazing property. Newly updated, well-stocked kitchen, very nice linens and convenient to the ocean. The neighborhood is quiet and everyone we encountered was kind and friendly. We will definitely stay again!

Lovely cottage close to the beach

We recently stayed at this lovely house, it's beautiful, nicely decorated and super clean. The whole neighborhood is very nice and quiet, we had a great and relaxing vacation. The beach is not crowded at all, even sea turtle mom decided to lay her eggs there. I wish we could stay longer; definitely coming back one day!

Wonderful stay

We loved our stay! Beautifully decorated home, clean and well stocked. The outdoor shower was very nice to have- didn’t get to enjoy the back yard/deck as much as we hoped due to flies/mosquitos. 10 min nice walk to the beach. Great location - loved the beach in PKS and loved being able to easily get to other areas- Beaufort and Morehead City becam our favorites!

Summer vacation

Our first visit to the “Crystal Coast”. We usually visit OBX for our summer vacation, but wanted to try a new spot this year. This house was perfect for us. The cleanliness, location and small details of this property made our vacation even better. Truly a home away from home.

This was a great spot for our family. Our 2 young adult children joined us with our 2 teenage children. All had a great time, it was so nice to be together. The house was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and relaxing. The walk to the beach was easy.

Quiet and convenient to beach

We loved the location! The area is very quiet and we liked the neighborhood feel vs more developed areas nearby. Getting to the beach was a breeze walking (5-10 min) or by car (2 min). The house is very nicely decorated. The back deck and yard were great for dinners or hanging out. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Stay

We rented this house for a Spring Break getaway with our kids. The house is clean, charming, well stocked, and very comfortable. We loved the backyard and appreciated the extras left for guests to use like beach chairs, toys & extra beach towels. It also has an ice machine! Public beach access is walkable or a quick drive.

Great beach home

I think the house was really comfortable and accommodating. owners were very nice to work with. Overall, very positive experience. One minor critique is to have a noon checkout time given the price. Other than that we were really happy with our weekend there.

Ultimate Relaxation

This was our second time staying at this property. It was even better the second time, with the addition of the backyard living space and outdoor shower! We can't say enough about how much we love staying in this house. The space is perfect, the kitchen is well stocked, it's easy to get to the beach and the sound, and it's just so cozy and relaxing. We hope to be back for our third visit soon!

We are the Furtner family, Joey and Kristen, and three kids, Karlee, Ben, and Sam, and our newest member, Duke, the goldendoodle puppy. We have lived in Pine Knoll Shores for the past 20 years and have built and remodeled many homes. Joey is a general contractor and Kristen is a realtor. We love the beach, surfing, diving, and spearfishing and think our little community by the sea is a little slice of heaven! In the summer there's a good chance you'll run into our family at the beach! We look forward to meeting you and thank you for choosing our house for your vacation!

We put our heart and soul into every build and remodel we do, and we think this little house really came out special! From the custom shell tile back splash in the kitchen to the surfboard mounted over the bed we wanted to bring the beach inside in a tasteful and comfortable way. Hues in every shade of blue will help you relax and enjoy your time inside. Outside the screened in porch is the perfect place to hang out and sip a cup of coffee. We believe there are not many places in the world like Pine Knoll Shores with its miles of uncrowded beaches and live oak trees that shade and protect. Take a walk, jog, bike, swim, kayak, surf, scuba dive, fish, or just sit in your beach chair if that's your thing! Shelter by the Sea is the perfect place to rest your head after you've done it all!

We keep hearing from our guests how special it is to vacation in Pine Knoll Shores. There are two sound side parks with easy water access, you can swim, fish, kayak, or paddle board and both are a great place to sit and watch the sunset. Garner park has a basketball goal and play ground for the kids.
Our ocean accesses are accessible to vehicles with the gate card, or you can walk or bike. Pine Knoll Shores is quiet and serene and a lovely place to walk and bike. It is the perfect neighborhood for kids and families to enjoy the outdoors.
