I would definitely recommend staying here again, everything about the home was great.

My family and I had a great time at this home, we created some new memories here. We would like to just thank the owner he was absolutely great for making feel right at home. We would recommend staying here , this was a great place!

Lovely historic home--great neighborhood!

We had a family get-together, and this was a great house to spread out in, and spend some quiet down time reconnecting! The owner was easy to reach, the house had pretty much everything we needed, and the fenced backyard was a plus for our dog! (He doesn't have that luxury at home ;-) ) Plenty of room for parking, and the neighborhood was quiet and beautiful. We would definitely consider staying again if we have another family gathering.

Family Reunion Vacation

We had an absolutely wonderful time & experience. The home was very spacious, clean & accommodating. The owner was awesome, helped us out with suggestions on places to eat & places to visit near the area. I would highly recommend staying at Mr Harvey’s home. Only a phone call or text away. Looking forward to my next trip to Rochester & definitely will be staying at the same place. Very centrally located near restaurants & shopping centers. Thx again Mr Harvey. You have a beautiful home & everyone in my party was pleased.

Rochester stay

Overall pleased with the home. Had a little difficulty in communicating with the owner. We booked last min as we were traveling in for a funeral. Not sure of the niumber of days needed when booked. I ended up booking 1 more day than needed. Never really received a clear answer from the owner on whether we would receive a refund for the unused day. Still hoping after checkout, but have not heard from the owner since we checked out. We checked out, but only be leaving a message, the app never had checkin and check out procedures added. The home was nice, what we expected. The listing was accurate and certainly met our needs. Hot weekend and some rooms without AC were hot to sleep in.

Terrible Experience

Contacted the day before by owner to say property I booked a year ago was now not available as someone else was in it and he blamed VRBO for not syncing properly. He offered what he said was identical which we had to accept as the whole town of Rochester was booked out for the PGA so we had nowhere else to go. The property was not identical, it was far from the images shown of the property we were supposed to stay in and all the beds were smaller. The property was was dirty verywhere, sticky surfaces, tacky cabinet doors in the kitchen, rotten food left in the fridge and electrical wiring hanging out everywhere and a security alarm that beeped our entire stay that could be turned off by the owner. I had to clean the toilet before I could use it as it had urine stains and hairs stuck under the rim. The house can only be described as unfinished and filthy. The area is run down and we were told by multiple drivers unsafe. Would never stay here again and recommend everyone stay away

Great stay

Really enjoyed our stay here. We had a family reunion of sorts and it was a great house for us with plenty of room for eight adults and two young children. Good location-close to the city. The owner was very responsive and friendly.

Very Attentive Host

Rickey was a very accommodating host. We booked last minute and added days during our stay, and he was more than flexible. House was more than big enough for our group of 5 adults, 4 kids and a dog.

5 bedrooms is only half the story

We were looking for a house near a tournament venue where all 5 of us could have separate bedrooms. We really lucked out with "Bethesda". Two and a half baths on 3 separate floors made for zero conflict in the mornings. Hot water was in plentiful supply. The Kitchen was perfectly sized to cook a ploughman's breakfast, and the dining room seated us plus our guests. The group spaces are clean, well lit, and comfortable. We never lacked for a cozy nook or quiet sitting area when we needed privacy. At one point all 5 of us needed to make some calls home, and you'd never have known anyone else was in the house until we rejoined in the common area. We were able to park off-street in a gated area, and still had room to park at least 3 other vehicles on-property. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a cleaner, quieter, more centrally located home, and the next time we return to Rochester, I'll be checking availability here first.

Nice home in the city

This was a nice older home so all the doors and latches didn't necessarily work but the house was clean, nicely decorated and the owner was very pleasant and responsive came over to introduce himself. The online description made it hard for me to picture but it had a ground floor with a nicely appointed kitchen, small 1/2 bath, family/living room, dining room and furnished enclosed porch. The second floor had 3 bedrooms one with a king bed and 2 with either queen or double beds, another enclosed porch and one full bath. The upstairs had 2 more bedrooms with double beds and a second full bathroom for a total of 2 1/2 baths and 5 bedrooms. If you're looking for a cute home fairly centrally located to sleep 8 to 10 people this house was great.

Great house, great host

Rickey was a very responsive host, quick to respond if there was any issue. We ran out of hot water and the best morning he took care of it immediately. Stayed here with 8 groomsmen before my wedding and we had a great time.

Not as described

Filthy. Rodent droppings and hair, personal belongings everywhere. Broken down furniture. I have a case open to get my money back. Reviews were not real.

Terrifically spacious

It felt like home as soon as we arrived. Us, our daughter and her children all had our own space. The beds were all comfortable as was all the furniture. We were visiting family members in the area so we only had breakfast each day but the kitchen was fully equipped. Having a bathroom on every floor is certainly a convenience. We will certainly remember this house if we need to stay in the area again.

Great place for families

I rented the place for 3 nights for myself and my daughter's family which included a month old and a 16 month old. Our host graciously provided a high chair and crib for the infant. The fenced yard was a big plus. Great place to stay. Thank you for everything.

Perfect spot for family celebration

This house was in a great location for our needs as we wanted to be close to the University of Rochester. The house is very spacious and easily accommodated our family of 10. We were able to enjoy meals in the dining room which added to our celebration. There was lots of space to spread out and comfortable beds. The neighborhood was quiet and close to a beautiful walk to a park along the Genesse River. The rose gardens there were amazing. Great area for walking right near the house. Rickey's communication and quick responses to our questions and requests made us feel welcomed and comfortable. A gracious host.
