Everything we needed for cooking was there. The house is very close to the beach and the pool was awesome for the whole family. The pool is shared, but it is very large. House was clean other than the ceiling fans and the A/C vents. Our recommendation would be to Bring your own bedding for sure.Downsides were - 1. No washer and dryer. 2. Could use some new mattresses on a couple beds.

This house was w/in our budget, was w/in walking distance of the beach, had a community pool to use & was clean. The ROI was not equivalent BUT I do not fault the owner. I know taxes, fees & price of maintenance has increased. The house is average, in good condition, well stocked kitchen (needs and exhaust fan) and its safe. It's just not what we are used to.

Cute house with all the conveniences of home.Cute decor. Great room. Has multiple games and books available. Tv. Central ac and ceiling fan in 1bedroom and great room. Comfortable sofas(2). Dinning table sits 6.(4 chairs and bench) 3 vehicle parking space. 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom(tub/shower) Outside shower. Under house storage, grill, chairs, floats, toys, and small table/chairs. Close to many restaurants and activities. Cons: bedrooms are smaller sized; 1king and 1full(needs to be a queen) and twin with set of bunks. Would like larger table with more chairs. Needs extension cords; has multi plug outlet adapter, but fans, lights or cpap don’t reach. Small area to hang wet items on small deck. Charge for linens.

Quaint little cottage!

Great location, love the great room, furniture, full size bathroom, 3 bedrooms( would love all queen beds), open storage under house for your beach items, nice porch/deck(small), and nice pool ( would like poolside furniture, but brought up our own chairs. Nice driveway to park 3 vehicles. Only complaint; it was never cleaned before our arrival. Carolina Shores notified and offered to send cleaners. We declined and 3 women did it ourselves, Bc it was already 4p. Office staff welcoming, kind and helpful! Want to stay here again!

All the stuff you need in kitchen. Btw the pool is large and has shallow end for younger children. House is close to great restaurants Chili Peppers, JKs,Auful Arthur’s, Sam & Omies, Black Pelican etc. Haley in reservations in is tremendous and a pleasure to work with. The property manager Brenda not so much. Great place to stay, the amenities and the price are outstanding.

Perfect location to the beach!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The only problems we experienced were a broken front door screen (which my husband fixed), and beach-goers blocking the driveway. We had a tough time getting in and out if we left during the day. The house was mostly clean upon check in. Our only downfall was having only 1 bathroom! Other than that, this was such a convenient stay, close to so many things, and directly across from the beach! We will definitely consider staying here again!

Great location to the beach, house was perfect for 4 adults and 2 kids (1,3) the pool usually just us swimming and very clean, would definitely stay again

Close to beach access

Was nice house was old but nice needs some updates, advertised dish network for the tv but only had live streaming, there was WiFi even though it was not advertised. We enjoyed our first stay at obx lots to see and do.

Great stay

Just as others have said, the property is dated. Also, bedrooms are small. BUT, it was perfect for me and my husband. The living space was plenty of room for us and we enjoyed sitting on the landing eating breakfast and being outside. The pool was very clean and we were usually the only ones in it, except for one time when the neighbors joined us. Ocean just a quick crossing of the road! One last point, I was a bit concerned when I saw that the place was dated. I anticipated a musty odor or something like that. We didn't have any issues at all. We slept comfortably and were very relaxed here.

The Weather Station is a great location in the OBX!

We loved staying at the Weather Station. It was perfect for our family of 4 with 2 small kids (ages 6 and 2). It’s nothing fancy but everything you want and need while on a beach vacation. Beach access directly across the street, less than 5 min walk. The community pool is great and right out the front door, was never crowded. We did a pre-reservation for next year at check out because it was perfect for us! Just bring your own pillows and blankets to make the beds more comfortable!

The beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay. We would rent this one again. Also the staff was amazing and very helpful!

Frustrating

We booked the place online only to be told 5 minutes before the end of the day the day before we were due to leave that the owner was actually down there for the week and the place wasn’t available. Although we were offered two other places to stay, they weren’t on the beach and not like the place we chose. So, we canceled that and I spent the evening searching for another place at another beach and had to do it without being able to talk to any realty places because I was told without having any time to call another place before closing time on a Friday. It wasn’t the first time in a couple days that the calendar on the site told me a place was available only to find out it actually wasn’t. It was impossible to find a place using this site.
