There was a miscommunication between us, VRBO and the host with the door code. VRBO sent me a code that didn’t work. The host wasn’t immediately reachable. I did not get the code she sent which was different from the VRBO code. It was confusing. The door handle to the sliding glass doors fell off when we open them the very first time. You could tell it had been poorly fixed. The beach restoration project hit the beach right in front of our condo right when we were there. I thought the heavy equipment might keep us up, but the condo must be insulated well. We just had to walk a bit to get to open beach. Great weather. Good friends and wonderful memories. Had a great day of shelling and dolphin spotting.

The location is amazing with the beach and pool within steps of the condo. The loft area was perfect for out 6-year old granddaughter. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans, etc. All was good.

Amazing and Magical Stay

This property was perfect accommodations for our family consisting of a set of grandparents, a mom and dad, 13 year old girl and 7 year old boy.We cannot wait to return to this magical place.The owner was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. The accommodations exceeded our expectations. The unit is a bright perfect seaside retreat. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows. It was very clean and well organized which made it easy for our group to settle in and enjoy every minute. The kitchen is well equipped and plenty of space to cook up a meal or two. The view from the screened porch was stunning as we soaked up those spectacular sunsets. We took a boat tour from nearby Captiva Cruises which I highly recommend. It was amazing to spend time with family and no one had their faces in their phones, there was too much real life to experience here. We will return to this exact spot again soon.

Great location. Horrible unit. Outdated, no disposal, no water ice no washer dryer. All cheap everything. Priced low ke a nice place but it’s not.

Beautiful view!

Great location, nice grilling area, plenty of beach chairs. The unit shows some normal beach side rental wear and tear. But overall a good experience. We would go back.

Beautiful spot for a family getaway

Location is amazing and everything is a short stroll away, including the beach, pool, retail shops and restaurants. Condo was clean and exactly as described. Great family vacation spot.

Perfect location

This was our second year renting with Kim. The property is as advertised. Communication excellent. The location cannot be beat. We appreciate the premium beach chairs and umbrellas. We parked the rental car at the beginning of our stay and did not move it until we left. We hope to be back next year.

Just what was advertised

We had a delightful stay and it’s so close to the pool, beachfront view and only a short walk into Captiva proper. We didn’t even bother with a golf-cart. Weather was perfect all week and we had a great time. Other reviews said the property is dated, it definitely is but we prefer that with kids and teens. An all-white trendy decor leaves me stressing rather than relaxing and that negates the point. Also, time in the unit is minimal. All we did was really sleep there and have a cocktail:)

Great location, but not a 10

Great location, beds were in fact very nice, great beach chairs/umbrellas, etc. The overall cleanliness of the property was less than average. It does need painted, doors fixed so they shut properly, and just some attention. It is fine, really, but it is not a high-end accommodation.

Love Captiva but disappointed in rental.

In general the property is outdated (hard to tell in online pictures). Furniture is dated. Unit was not clean when we arrived, floor was dirty and needed vacuuming (vacuum cleaner is very old). Electronic lock did not work, got lock box code to use key. Not enough bath or beach towels (2 each). Furniture is outdated. Both toilets are not properly secured to the floor. Shower head very loose in wall. Kitchen faucet wand leaking into cabinet, we fixed and cleaned up water. 2 Refrigerator shelves broken. Pots and pans are old and surfaces flaking off. Plates are plastic and old. TV's are outdated - fuzzy pictures. Two dishwasher tablets for a week stay. We won't rent this property again.

Best beds ever!

It’s a given ocean front property with a pool and view is going to be amazing. As somebody that has tempur pedic mattresses at home it is usually a guarantee that whatever bed I encounter while traveling is not going to compare to home and many times this results in body pain pretty quickly. The beds in this unit are excellent! Both bedrooms are similar quality and definitely compare to my home situation of medium tempur. We are definitely returning as this feature added to our experience significantly! The place was also well stocked and had everything we needed for the beach, starter coffee filters, plenty of seasoning.

A Perfect Setting

Two wonderful weeks in paradise with a view of the gulf and sunsets. Very responsive owner with concierge who was on duty 24/7. During a power outage I received current updates and answers to my questions. Very well stocked kitchen and bathrooms.

Great location

The condo was great for my family (3 kids, ages 17, 12, and 12). Loved l sitting on the balcony and looking at the ocean. Very nice to have the beach chairs - there was enough for our whole family. It was also nice that the condo was only a short drive from the entrance. It was easy to walk to many places to eat and shot. Would stay there again.

I have been coming to South Seas since my 18th Brithday. I am not going to mention how long ago that was but suffice to say that was a long time ago and I still love it!!!!

We have 9 total units in South Seas that we rent. We absolutely love this beach. The shelling is amazing. There is usually a very nice breeze and we love to sit on the screened in patio and watch the sun set. There is nothing like sitting and watching the sun set.
