Sandpiper is a low density three story complex. Its unique V shape building and shared common area walkway in front of each condo lends to a friendly get to know your neighbor atmosphere. Family reunions, large groups of people traveling together and individual families choose this property often. The tropical courtyard, seasonally-heated swimming pool (mid-March through October, as needed) and grilling areas give Sandpiper an ambiance all its own. It is a highly requested property and has the most repeat guests.

Loved the place!

The condo we stayed in was emaculately clean . It had everything and then some that we needed for our stay. The folks at Bender's realty were fabulous. I highly recommend!

Our softball team all booked rooms so we could be at the same place. Great location, right on the beach, safe neighborhood! Would stay here again.

Wonderful Family Vacation spot

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Love the Sandpiper! Steps from the beach and walking to dining and retail. Units are spacious and updated from my experience. Especially appreciated the convection oven. Only downside was the mattress in the master: extremely uncomfortable and needs replacing.

It need more cleaning!

Everything was fine but the only thing I didn’t like was the cleaning! It seems that they just clean the floor and bathroom and that was it bc the other stuff bed, etc…was very dirty

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental property was wonderful, it had everything we needed in the kitchen, beach and pool. A few suggestions - change the mattress in the main room, there is a sink hole in the middle. Also, please consider changing your lock to a combination and not a key. We lost our key on the first day and had to pay the fine. A lot of the other units are by combination, which seems really nice. The bathroom in the hall drained really, REALLY slow, so it was sort of yuck with sand. The beach sand is really wonderful and the pool was great. This is a great place for families. The condo was great for a family of 4, we had a great time. Thanks

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have vacationed in Gulf Shores and stayed in Sandpiper about 5 times over the last 10 years. We love the location and Bender Realty is very easy to work with. However, we stayed in 5C for the first time and the unit is in dire need of updating. It needs new paint and a deep clean of the floors, walls, windows, and vents. It was not clean and walking on the floor without shoes was uncomfortable. The furniture is old, but functional. It's the only key unit and that is extremely inconvenient when you go to the beach every day. We will definitely be back to Sandpiper, but we will not stay in 5C again.

Almost Paradise

Reviewer Comments: We generally love coming to The Sandpiper.We have been coming every other year for 16 years now. This is the 1st time we were not sharing a condo and had reserved our own. There were just a few issues. First was the issue of check in time.We picked up our packet and were told room wasn't ready yet even though we were in the timeframe. We sat in front of our condo in blazing sun with a child in a wheelchair and a 75 year old man and all of our groceries for 90 minutes. It was now after 5 pm. We called and told Bender that we could see through the blinds that it WAS ready- dishtowel out- dishwashing liquid on counter etc. but they said they could not give us our entry code.Eventually after missing 5PM Mass,wereceived the code. The black plastic bags of soiled bedding and towels from the previous weeks renters were left on our deck all week long.Then there was the confusion over the Pest Control people. The date on the notice in the elevator was different from the date in the text msg. from Bender. Very difficult to plan day trips when you don't have correct info. Had we known this in advance we would have booked another week.Also the ironing board is treacherous. After opening it and setting iron on, it will not stay open and I got a small gash on my foot from it falling. The dining chairs have very rough, broken edges on some seats and backrests.Got a cut from that at well.We love the Sandpiper but these issues definately need to be addressed.

The pool has to be shocked.The only complaint If i had to be picky was the master bedroom mattress was not very comfortable. The spare room beds were great. Nice condo ans beautiful view !

Love the Sandpiper and Gulf Shores

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our rental was available earlier than we expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The tub in the first bathroom drained very, very slow, so if people took back to back showers, the second person ended up standing in the shower water of the first. The shower head also fell off, but Bender responded quickly and replaced it. The beds were uncomfortable, so, we all struggled to sleep. The kitchen was well equipped and has nice stainless steel appliances. I would probably not rent 5C again due to the location in the building as you have no shade on the deck in front of your condo.

We feel that the unit could have been cleaner. It also is in need of updating, compared to the previous unit we stayed in, and other units we've been in. We did re-book, for next year. It has a Great view and I Love the small balcony, in the morning. And the Staff at Bender are the BEST !!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sandpiper is a great place to stay. The kids loved the pool. The main bedroom suite was great. The kitchen was in good condition. The only issues were specific to this unit. We couldn't find two remote controls for two of the three TVs. One was eventually located under some furniture. The furniture (specifically, the sofa chairs) were uncomfortable. The front door latch does not function properly and needs to be fixed. Speaking of the door, it would be awesome if this unit used a pass code rather than physical keys. It was be a huge convenience for guests and Bender staff.

Great Snowbird Get away

Could use more baking pans, but we found a wonderful bakery so not that big of a deal this year.
