Beautiful home and property right across the street from a public park and boat launch on Bass Lake. Totally private living space with its own entrance, full kitchen, sunroom with washer/dryer and bathroom. Beautiful fenced (shared) yard with adirondack chairs for guest with lovely view. Ample parking. Host family (husband, wife and two 8-year-olds) live on property and available to meet any needs. The backyard is shared by the host family and two 20 pound dogs. Easy walking to many restaurants

Up North Get Away

This space is very conveniently located and is an easy drive to Traverse City, Torch Lake, and several other Attractions. The space itself is beautifully landscaped, clean, and very well equipped with everything you can need for a stay away from home!

Lovely!

We had a very nice stay at this property. The setting is ideal and the extra touches like fresh flowers made it special. We were able to spend some time with the owner and her family and we really enjoyed that. Would stay here again when we are in Elk Rapids!

This place had everything we needed! Beautiful view, great location, and a wonderful host!

We enjoyed our stay and hope to return annually! The host was attentive, yet we had lots of privacy. We loved the view, cleanliness, amenities, and Elk Rapids is a quiet, beautiful getaway itself. It will always have a special place in our hearts because we got engaged on this trip! Looking forward to our return next summer!

Beautiful view

We rented this little cottage for nine days in the little town of Elk Rapids. We loved the location. We had a beautiful view of a flower garden and Elk Lake. The home was very clean. We had everything that we needed. Furniture and bed were very comfortable. Cute little restaurant and market walking distance. We loved our stay!

Nice getaway

My husband and I had a very relaxing getaway in Northern Michigan. Elk Rapids was the perfect location because it was not too far from Traverse City, Petoskey, and Central Lake. Which is places we visited during out stay. I wish we had one more day to fully enjoy all that Elk Rapids has to offer. Definitely will consider staying at this property again as Carly was very attentive in communication and also respected out privacy.

Nice veiw with some cons

Great veiw and clean place. However it is a shared property with the homeowner so the semi private is due to owner not because of neighbors and the ac controls are there but could not be adjusted below 72°.

Thanks for your feedback. The listing does state that the property is owner occupied which allows me to make any modifications necessary like the thermostat adjustments with a simple message.

Great location

This was a wonderful place to stay if you are looking for a beautiful view on a quiet street for a relaxing vacation. It is located half way between Traverse City and Torch Lake. My husband and I enjoyed this property and the owner was such a great host. They respected our privacy yet we enjoyed visiting with them, as well. It was very clean and cozy. The town of Elk Rapids is a very short distance away with plenty of places to eat and shop. We walked to the beautiful lake views every night. Then returned to the property to the view of Bass Lake from the living room. Very safe and friendly town. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect for us for a long weekend getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a situated in a beautiful spot with a view of Bass Lake and a short distance from the golf course, grocery store, and downtown. The house was very clean, with nice beds, a versatile kitchen, and bathroom with both tub & shower. We appreciated the coffee maker, which had dual function, one side a K-cup machine and the other side a brew pot. The water in the shower stayed hot even after three people in a row showered. All the little details were taken care of, with comfy chairs to relax in, touch lamps in the bedroom, a stocked K-cup rack and teas, and even a low glow light by the stairs to the bathroom. We would most definitely stay here again.

Everything is perfect. We have been staying at Carley for a few years. She makes your stay so special. Everything is in mint condition, she has everything you need. Elk Rapids is such a great place to visit, so much to do. We are always sad to leave

Convenient, clean and charming location

We needed extra space for visiting family members and this apartment was perfect. Nice location within walking distance to shops and restaurants; good wi-fi; fully stocked and very clean. Will definitely keep it in mind for future "overflow."

Lovely decor, clean, great view of Bass Lake and Carley is a sweetheart, so informative and helpful

We would highly recommend this property - Great location to Traverse City, Elk Rapids has great beach for sunset watching. Golfing nearby and nice bike and walking path! “The Local” diner is within walking and has the best breakfast we’ve had in a long while. Great food, service and staff!

Nice location with a view of the lake. Very clean home.

We enjoyed our stay. The rental house was very neat and clean. Across the street from the lake with access for a boat or kayaks . Good location for going out for road trips and sightseeing. Owner is on location and available if needed.

Great Place and Location

Carly our host was great. We had challenges with a downstate power outage so she allowed my daughter and aunt and uncle stay the first night. Overall the place is great location. View of Bass Lake, walking distance to ER Golf Club and great restaurants of Local and Pearls and walkable to downtown ELk Rapids

Lake Living

Nice little place attached to house. Quiet, clean, private. Carley is the perfect host. Bikes and kayaks are available for use. Lake is literally across the street so no real portage lake is calm and easy paddling. Close to Traverse City/Mission Point (30 minutes) and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (1 hour). Plenty of fresh veggies and fruit stands, wineries, breweries and cider houses in area. Nice long weekend getaway for couples or in our case family of three.

Absolutely perfect!

We loved our time here! The apartment was spotless and the location simply beautiful! The owner was quick to respond to any questions and so thoughtful! She even offered toys for our young granddaughters who visited. We hope to visit again!!!

The cottage was adorable and in a great location to everything. The views from the cottage to Bass Lake were so peaceful and relaxing. Carley made the check-in and check-out process so easy and has really set this place up to be a home away from home.

An Awesome Find!

Such a beautiful home in a gorgeous location. Sipping my morning coffee or evening wine overlooking their lovely garden with Bass Lake in front of you is perfection! Having bikes to use around town and kayaks/paddle boards to easily brig across the street to the lake made for a fantastic lake vacation. Carley and her sweet family were kind and available without feeling like they were hovering or you were invading their space. Will definitely look to book again for next summer!
