Beautiful home and property right across the street from a public park and boat launch on Bass Lake. Totally private living space with its own entrance, full kitchen, sunroom with washer/dryer and bathroom. Beautiful fenced (shared) yard with adirondack chairs for guest with lovely view. Ample parking. Host family (husband, wife and two 8-year-olds) live on property and available to meet any needs. The backyard is shared by the host family and two 20 pound dogs. Easy walking to many restaurants

We had a wonderful time here for our Elk Rapids trip! The house is very clean and has a beautiful lake view. The location is perfect, allowing us to walk or take a short drive into town. The communication from Carley was great before and during our trip. We would love to stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay here! Carley’s place was spacious, very clean, and just so nice. There were even fresh flowers! There was awesome communication from her and we had everything and more than we needed due to her rocking host qualities. The view is beautiful and the location is unbeatable and walkable to everything fun. We would love to stay here again, it is an awesome, awesome place to call home for an Elk Rapids trip.

Up North Get Away

This space is very conveniently located and is an easy drive to Traverse City, Torch Lake, and several other Attractions. The space itself is beautifully landscaped, clean, and very well equipped with everything you can need for a stay away from home!

Lovely!

We had a very nice stay at this property. The setting is ideal and the extra touches like fresh flowers made it special. We were able to spend some time with the owner and her family and we really enjoyed that. Would stay here again when we are in Elk Rapids!

This place had everything we needed! Beautiful view, great location, and a wonderful host!

We enjoyed our stay and hope to return annually! The host was attentive, yet we had lots of privacy. We loved the view, cleanliness, amenities, and Elk Rapids is a quiet, beautiful getaway itself. It will always have a special place in our hearts because we got engaged on this trip! Looking forward to our return next summer!

Beautiful view

We rented this little cottage for nine days in the little town of Elk Rapids. We loved the location. We had a beautiful view of a flower garden and Elk Lake. The home was very clean. We had everything that we needed. Furniture and bed were very comfortable. Cute little restaurant and market walking distance. We loved our stay!

Nice getaway

My husband and I had a very relaxing getaway in Northern Michigan. Elk Rapids was the perfect location because it was not too far from Traverse City, Petoskey, and Central Lake. Which is places we visited during out stay. I wish we had one more day to fully enjoy all that Elk Rapids has to offer. Definitely will consider staying at this property again as Carly was very attentive in communication and also respected out privacy.

Nice veiw with some cons

Great veiw and clean place. However it is a shared property with the homeowner so the semi private is due to owner not because of neighbors and the ac controls are there but could not be adjusted below 72°.

Thanks for your feedback. The listing does state that the property is owner occupied which allows me to make any modifications necessary like the thermostat adjustments with a simple message.

Great location

This was a wonderful place to stay if you are looking for a beautiful view on a quiet street for a relaxing vacation. It is located half way between Traverse City and Torch Lake. My husband and I enjoyed this property and the owner was such a great host. They respected our privacy yet we enjoyed visiting with them, as well. It was very clean and cozy. The town of Elk Rapids is a very short distance away with plenty of places to eat and shop. We walked to the beautiful lake views every night. Then returned to the property to the view of Bass Lake from the living room. Very safe and friendly town. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect for us for a long weekend getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a situated in a beautiful spot with a view of Bass Lake and a short distance from the golf course, grocery store, and downtown. The house was very clean, with nice beds, a versatile kitchen, and bathroom with both tub & shower. We appreciated the coffee maker, which had dual function, one side a K-cup machine and the other side a brew pot. The water in the shower stayed hot even after three people in a row showered. All the little details were taken care of, with comfy chairs to relax in, touch lamps in the bedroom, a stocked K-cup rack and teas, and even a low glow light by the stairs to the bathroom. We would most definitely stay here again.

The lake view says it all - the peaceful serenity of the surroundings envelopes one upon arrival, and is reflected in the property. Clean, well-appointed, and welcoming, it allowed us to make the most of our brief stay - we will definitely be back!

Our stay in Elk Rapids was wonderful, clean, and cozy! The location is perfect—easily within walking distance to town (under a mile) and right across the street from Bass Lake, where we loved playing cards by the water.The town is incredibly kid- and dog-friendly. We walked to the free Monday night movies, the Wednesday street vendor market, and the Friday morning farmers market. Short’s Brewing is only a half-mile walk for great beer and food trucks, and there are three beaches within a 15-minute walk (plus many more a short drive away).Carley was a fantastic, attentive host. The rental is attached to the main house, and her family and dogs are lovely. My only minor note is that the shower is quite small with a slight weak spot in the floor—worth mentioning for larger guests—but we loved our stay and can't wait to return!

Great location for accessing multiple bodies of water for kayaking/paddleboarding. Host was nice and nonintrusive (lives on other side of house). We had a great stay!

Everything is perfect. We have been staying at Carley for a few years. She makes your stay so special. Everything is in mint condition, she has everything you need. Elk Rapids is such a great place to visit, so much to do. We are always sad to leave

Convenient, clean and charming location

We needed extra space for visiting family members and this apartment was perfect. Nice location within walking distance to shops and restaurants; good wi-fi; fully stocked and very clean. Will definitely keep it in mind for future "overflow."

Lovely decor, clean, great view of Bass Lake and Carley is a sweetheart, so informative and helpful

We would highly recommend this property - Great location to Traverse City, Elk Rapids has great beach for sunset watching. Golfing nearby and nice bike and walking path! “The Local” diner is within walking and has the best breakfast we’ve had in a long while. Great food, service and staff!
