The Space:
La Sal is an oceanfront 1-bed 1-bath aparment located at the Marbella del Caribe Condominiums in Isla Verde, right in front of one of the most beautiful beaches in Puerto Rico and arguably the best urban beach in the CaribbeaFrom La Sal, you and your guests will be staying right on a 1.5-mile-long beach and will be within walking distance of endless options for dining and nightlife.
The property sleeps 2 adults in 1 queen bed and is located 5 minutes from Luis Muñoz Marin airport and includes dedicated parking for one vehicle. You will love the beach views from every room in the apartment.
IMPORTANT: Although we don't have them listed as amenities since they are not part of the unit, this building offers access to a coin laundry in the lobby, where guests can use the washers & dryers. The administration is in charge of it.

BUILDING CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: We’d like to inform you that the building is currently undergoing improvements to the handicap ramps and surrounding sidewalks. You may experience some construction activity or noise during the day while this work is being completed. This is still ongoing. Once completed, we will remove this note.
IMPORTANT: NO SMOKING on the balconies and common areas (cigarettes, tobacco, marijuana, or cannabis). Will be fined $50.00 instantly.
The building does not allow anyone to hang clothes, towels, mops, or other artifacts on the walls or balcony railings. Will be fined $50.00 instantly.
LIVING AREAS
Enter the flat, and you are greeted with beautiful beach and ocean views as you look across the dining room, living room, and balcony. The dining room comfortably sits four adults and has a convenient opening to the kitchen counter so you can serve meals buffet style. The living room has a flat-screen TV with cable and Netflix watch your favorite shows as you enjoy the views and tradewinds. The living room also has a wonderful layout for socializing. Enter the balcony, and you will feel like you are literally on the sand. It doesn't get closer to the beach than this!
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
The master bedroom has 1 queen bed with epic views of Isla Verde Beach. There is a full bathroom with a shower head and fresh towels and essentials. The master bedroom has a dedicated closet. There are also drawers for extra storage. The living area has a comfortable sofa. La Sal comfortably sleeps two adults
PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY):
We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.
KITCHEN
La Sal has a fully stocked kitchen equipped with a stovetop, oven, toaster, full fridge, microwave oven, and coffee maker. The kitchen opens up to the dining and living room so you are always socializing with the rest of the group.
GETTING AROUND & PARKING
We recommend moving around via Uber if staying within the general Isla Verde and San Juan area.
If you decide to rent a car, this unit offers one (1) assigned parking spot.
LOCATION
La Sal is located on Isla Verde Beach, Puerto Rico. This is arguably the best urban beach in the Caribbean. The beach is 1.5 miles long and the Isla Verde strip has a long list of dining and nightlife options. The apartment is 5 minutes from the airport and has car rentals, supermarkets, a Walgreens, and multiple hotels and casinos within walking distance.
There are many things to do in the surrounding areas; here are some of our favorites:
Chill at the beach! It is one of our favorite beaches in Puerto Rico and a must-do if you are staying at La Sal. The apartment has beach chairs, towels, and cooler for a long day at the beach.
Lunch or dinner at La Placita de Santurce a local market with 20+ restaurants and awesome nightlife. We love Santaella restaurant, local cuisine with a modern approach located in La Placita.
Shop at The Mall of San Juan. This mall is a 5-minute drive from the apartment and has excellent shops and dining options.
Explore the El Yunque Rainforest. El Yunque is an easy 30-minute drive from the property and is the only rainforest under US Flagship.
Spend a day in Old San Juan. La Sal is a 10 min drive away from the oldest city in all of the US. There is a lot of history to be seen and great food and drinks to have.
Other Things to Note:
STARTER AMENITIES
At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay.
All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest.
We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include:
- 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom)
- 3 garbage bags
- 1 roll of paper towels
- 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom)
- 1 dish soap
- 1 dish sponge
Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay.
Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation.
HOUSE RULES
RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. Guests must upload a valid photo ID (no selfies) that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed.
NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated.
NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property.
QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors.
UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 2 adults/children at all times, including visitors.
OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund.
TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items.
TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated.
SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES
Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that.
If you’d like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and we’ll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule.
If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival.
Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. For late check-out requests, please reach out the day before your departure, and we’ll be happy to check availability for you.
TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON
We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues.
Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
We want your stay at West Indies Vacation Rental to be smooth and enjoyable. You can message us anytime after booking with questions. Starting 5 days before arrival, your designated Property Manager will also be available to answer any additional questions you may have prior to arrival. Beautiful place
Stayed here for a short trip with my daughter. The view is beautiful and the unit was very comfortable and clean. Location on the beach and closeness to restaurants was ideal. Short Uber ride to Old San Juan and easy pickup location if you want to book an excursion to the El Yunque rainforest. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful views
One bedroom condo in a very secure high rise right on the water. Very well-maintained property with pool, shelter houses, grills, playground. Close to casinos, restaurants, shops and highway access. Condo was clean with all the needed amenities and a perfect view of the ocean. Would highly recommend.

Great location!
Even thought the building is showing its age a bit, the view is beautiful, and easy access to the beach! Most of our "down time" was spent on the balcony. Just be careful not to bump your head on the cabinets when you're washing dishes! The pizza restaurant across the street was very convenient and had a good variety; even ate there for breakfast.

Badly needs update
Fantastic view as described, building and location were very good but furniture was very uncomfortable, bed squeaked loudly and you need a helmet to work in the kitchen. I banged my head many times because the overhead cabinets were low and came out over the sink and countertop.

The best place we have ever stayed beach side in San Juan! Everything was just as good or better than the photos. We loved all of the amenities. They provide any thing you need to be on the beach including the sunscreen and bug spray. I love the beach view and angle of the condo. You can see the sun rise and set without being directly in the sun. The water temperature is inconsistent and can go from scolding hot to freezing cold within a matter of seconds. So keep this in mind when showering. If I owned the condo I would put a lounger, bench or hammock on the balcony. We are looking forward to booking here again.

It was OK
only having air conditioning in the bedroom and it really didn't work that well - the door to outside didn't even close all the way. It got the job done but we wouldn't stay there again.
