Dream View Redmond Bay Waterfront Cottage


Three bedroom, 1 bathroom waterfront cottage located on Redmond bay which is a part of Baptiste Lake.

We are currently not supplying any bedding or linens, please bring your own bedding (sheets, comforters, towels, etc. for the stay. We do supply a tea towel, pillows, a bath mat and bathroom hand towel.

5-10 mins from the town of Bancroft.
Swim, fish, boat, kayak or just relax on the newly built oversized dock.

Boat launch to Baptiste is next door, or go out on our paddle toys and explore the bay.

Fully stocked kitchen with all appliances you may need as well as a propane BBQ.

Coffee and basic condiments are made available to you along with toilet paper and paper towel.

WIFI available for all guests. Please note we are in a rural area, so the internet can be slow at times. Netflix and prime video are provided and seem to work fine.

High efficiency furnace and air conditioner.

The lake is pristine and full of wildlife but it is shallow (5-6 deep) so please be cautious jumping off the dock. Cannon-balls and shallow dives seem to be just fine. There is a clearing around the dock for weed free swimming.

Due to the remote location of the cottage, there is no municipal garbage pick up. All guests are required to take all their garbage with them upon check-out. Local dump site times and locations are listed on the fridge. The closest dump site is 6 mins from the cottage. There are plenty of garbage and recycling bags for your convenience.

Contactless check in. Check in is at 3pm, check out 11am.

Automatic discount available if you book for 5 or more nights.

Please be aware that May and June are bug season. The exact times can vary - Usually its mid May to mid June. Prices have been discounted.

We have firewood but it is limited. There is firewood nearby for $5 a bundle. Location is in the welcome package that you receive 3 days prior to your visit.

We just returned from a perfect long-weekend getaway! The cottage was clean, well appointed and had everything we needed. It was exactly like the pictures. It was cool in the evenings so the heat helped out. The waterfront on the property could not have been better! The dock was perfect for sitting on during the day to enjoy the last days of nice weather. Our son used the kayak and everyone had a great time. There was supposed to be 5 of us plus dogs but ended up being only 3 of us with 1 dog. The place would still have been the perfect size if our other 2 family members came. We hope to book another stay at this beautiful cottage!

This is my second time renting this cottage and we love coming here. It’s right on a quiet area of the lake so my dog can swim freely, and we can enjoy time outside peacefully. We went up at the end of September so it was understandably quiet, but even when we came up here in the summer, it was still not super busy, didn’t have people flying past on boats regularly. The new deck was a great addition, it was so comfortable to sit there and enjoy the view. The cottage itself is nice and clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the tools you could need, there are even dog bowls! There is also a nice BBQ as well. Beds are comfy and rooms are a good size. The living space is great, and love the hard drive of movies for when the internet gets a bit spotty. Kayla is also super responsive and helpful with any questions!

We had a wonderful stay here. The satellite tv wasn't working but that was a minor issue since everything else was great. Our family, including our dog, enjoyed swimming and playing in the lake. And the bird watching was excellent, especially the loons. Nice & close to Bancroft for grocery shopping etc. Definitely recommend!

We had a great long weekend! The size of the cottage was perfect and cozy for us 6, we made the one small bathroom work, even for getting ready for a wedding! The expansive deck just outside the door and the dock was fabulous for hanging out. We watched a movie one night, used the fire pit one night. Perfect stay!

Good boat access,the fishing was exceptional The total fish count for the week was 50-60 Our Grandson caught 12 fish. Our family had a wonderful stay at Dream View Redmond Bay! The location is absolutely stunning, right on the water with beautiful views. The cottage itself was clean and cozy, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Loved that it's pet friendly and fenced off We spent our days swimming, fishing, kayaking, and enjoying the peace and quiet from the dock. The nearby town of Bancroft was a short drive away which was great for groceries and hiking to Eagles Nest Lookout. We highly recommend this cottage for a relaxing and peaceful getaway and plan to return in the future!

Our time at this lovey cottage certainly did not disappoint! Swimming and enjoying the amazing views from the dock, not to mention the great fishing (we caught multiple Bass right from the end of the dock). Meals over looking the lake on the new deck, followed by a campfire by the water. The cottage is located in a bay so there was very little boat traffic which was nice and allowed us to enjoy the sounds of the birds and a resident Loon (that you can hear a bit of vehicle/atv noise from the road but never enough to disturb us)! The cottage comes with a great array of amenities - Kayak and pedal boat, both of which we took advantage of. A Napoleon BBQ which worked great, air fryer, stove and basically a fully stocked kitchen. The beds and couches were very comfy. Bathroom is small but very clean and the shower worked great!The Bell satellite was not working when we were there but that was fine bc we did not spend much time inside anyway!Kayla was great to communicate with if any questions came up.Overall a wonderful experience!

Great place!

Amazing deck and dock, very clean and bright interior. Lots of windows with beautiful view, AC worked well. Nice gradual entrance into lake and easy to jump off dock too. Host was easy to contact and very helpful. Feels private as no neighbours are nearby, just the road beside so can hear the cars at times. Boat launch next door too. Great living area with TV and couches were very comfortable for at night or during rainy times.

Beautiful, relaxing, and peaceful

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful, cozy cottage. The cottage is very private, and very peaceful. Best part for us was the campfire located so close to the water, and the beautiful dock. Loons, geese, and ducks were all very active and vocal. The close proximity to Bancroft was also very convenient. The owners are very responsive and easy going.

Peace and quiet

This was our second time coming back to the cottage and again, the 3 of us had a wonderful time. Every morning enjoying the sights and sounds of the loon family. My Dad caught bass and pike every day from the dock, he was thrilled! I really enjoyed the kayak and paddle board. Then in the evenings we sat on the lower deck and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the beautiful lake.

An Excellent Stay on Redmond Bay!

The accommodation and location were wonderful - close enough to shopping/restaurants (10-15 minutes drive), but far enough that you could enjoy some peace and quiet by the lake. We stayed the first week of October which was perfect to watch all the leaves changing colour (and we were lucky to have some 20+ degrees days as well!). Kayla was very informative and responsive to any questions I had and check-in / out was a breeze! We highly recommend driving around nearby Baptiste Lake as the views are absolutely stunning! Would happily book again!

Everything you would ever want in a Cottage

We had an awesome time, theres really not any more you could ask for when it comes to a cottage up north - beautiful lake/dock, good fishing, fire pit/stove, bbq/oven etc.. we went up to algonquin one day for a few nice hikes as well as the eagles nest trails. Spent the days swimming, fishing and kayaking and then took advantage of the awesome wood stove for some movie nights. Town is very close so it was a breeze for grocerys/restaurants, we ended up over packing for sure. Thank you Kayla for a great getaway!

Beautiful cottage

Our stay was wonderful. The cottage is beautiful and nicely renovated. The driveway/yard is fenced off which was nice as we have a dog who likes to explore so we weren't worried that she would take off. The images in the listing do not show this fence so we were more than pleasantly surprised to see it when we got there. There were water toys as advertised and lots of fire wood, kitchen was fully stocked, AC in the cottage, comfy beds, nice big tv with loads of movies and board games for nights spent inside. The only downside we had was the washing machine didn't work with the septic system so we were unable to clean our laundry/towels over the week (unless we went to a laundromat in town). It wasnt the end of the world because we had a really great time overall! I would highly recommend staying here + I would definitely come back in the future!

So good!

Our stay at Sally’s cottage was excellent! Very clean, comfortable and cozy. Waking up to that view, being so close to the water, reading & bbq’ing on the deck, fishing from the dock, just so relaxing. We had everything that we needed for a week of peace and quiet. Kayla was an excellent hostess, kind and quick to respond. We look forward to returning to Sally’s in the future.

Wonderful week at this true cottage! The hosts were fantastic and so generous with all the extra unexpected amenities. Pet friendly made it a true vacation as we could have our dog with us. No surprise visits all week, just privacy and relaxation. We will definitely choose this destination again! Highly recommend!!

My most cherished memories growing up are being at my grandmothers cottage. As i got older it became clear I wanted a cottage of my own to continue creating those memories with friends and family. I have some family in Bancroft which is why I was drawn to the area. I rent the cottage out during the summer and fall. I rent the cottage to help with costs and renovations.I consider this my home and I am here as much as I can be. I want others to enjoy it as well, and at a reasonable price.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The property is pretty unique. It is a very long and narrow lot leaving a lot of room between neighbors. I love that it is a quiet part of Baptiste lake and how close it is to the town of Bancroft. The house was built very close to the water which makes for an amazing view. The lake is shallow. pristine & full of wildlife. If you're up early enough, you will see the otters swim by while you eat breakfast.
