Palace Retreat is a stunning 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home located in The Shire at West Haven. This gated community is located just by the ChampionsGate area, providing a prime location for your stay. Only 7 short miles from Walt Disney World Resort and just a short drive to other area theme parks, you'll always be near the fun in West Haven! With a spacious interior, this home can accommodate up to 10 guests! This single-story family home is perfect for spending time together with your family, or having some privacy to relax. With an open living area and large kitchen and dining room, everyone can enjoy meals together or a fun movie night!

With two bedrooms for adults and two for smaller members of your party, there is space for everyone to call their own. The home does include a TV in each bedroom, complimentary Wi-Fi access during your stay, a game room in the former garage, and a private pool and spa to enjoy! If looking to venture out to the West Haven Clubhouse for some extra fun, their community clubhouse featuring a pool, game room, and fitness equipment are available during your stay to enjoy!

Enjoy all that Orlando has to offer such as the theme parks: Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Legoland, Discovery Cove, Aquatica and other attraction such as I-Drive, City Walk & Disney Springs; Shopping malls such as The Mall at Millenia, The Florida Mall and The Outlet Mall. Sports events include Orlando City soccer and Orlando Magic basketball.

Just over an hour drive away you will find some of Florida’s favorite beaches such as Cocoa Beach, Clearwater Beach, St. Pete Beach, New Smyrna Beach & Daytona Beach.

Great house and location.

Clean house with everything you need. Great location. I didn’t like having to go to the Florida Spirit office to get the key to the clubhouse and return it to the office before Friday at 5pm. I’ve stayed in The Shire multiple times and never had to run for then clubhouse key. Not convenient or explained before or after booking this house.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We truly enjoyed our stay and also stayed there last year. Exceptionally clean and spacious. The jacuzzi worked very well which has been a problem at other homes we have rented. Great and convenient location. Kitchen is well supplied. We would suggest upgrading the frying pans and provide more plates, bowls, etc. to prevent the need to run the dishwasher every day. An energy saver for the owner. Adding one large stock pot would be helpful too. We would highly recommend this home. As we stated last year we so wish they would provide for recycling. We know it’s available as the neighbor homes had the receptacles for them.

Relaxing Home.

We arrived shortly after Hurricane Milton hit the area and would have appreciated some reassurance that all was ok without having to chase the property company. Once in the home we soon found it to contain everything needed for a relaxing stay, it really is comprehensively kitted out. The whole of ChampionsGate is very nice with a large selection of eateries and shops. However be aware the traffic is awful, I4 is a nightmare at most times of the day so avoid if possible. We used the toll roads whenever we could and would recommend the Toll Pass system available at all the airport terminals rather than the car hire company’s inclusive rates.

Horrible neighbors

The smoke and smell of drugs and the loud music until 3:30 AM made our visit horrible! Very close proximity to the people next door. Phone calls about the ghetto were very loud and obnoxious to say the least. I won’t take my family there again!

Great Stay

Property was just as listed. We had a few issues with the door code and the response was fantastic. Communication with property manager was awesome. Would highly recommend location.

Great for Omni Championsgate Event

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is cute, well appointed and close to gas station, Publix and numerous eating options. TVs worked well. Plenty of sleeping space. Plenty of seating space so that a large group would not feel cramped using the property. We had a few issues and the management company/owner were super responsive. For our stay, one of the screens of the enclosure was broken so bugs made the use of the pool hard. The water never warmed up for us to be able to enjoy the pool as we had hoped. We also live in S. Florida and have a heated pool; this stayed cold despite nearly 100 degree temperatures outside. Inside, the temperature was 78 when we arrived. Since we are not allowed to change the settings, we had to leave the home to wait for it to regulate. Recommendations: An actual A/C for the converted garage, bath mats for coming in/out of shower (tile is slippery); a note on the listing that it is Keurig/K-cups-friendly.We had a hard time getting into the gated community. Not sure if I simply missed the gate code in the instructions. (I tried the 4-digit conf code at gate but that did not work.) So perhaps just clearer instructions for the community gate would improve the experience.

A Place to Relax

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in The Shire community before in a house two doors down from this one last year. The community is very quiet. We've stayed in other communities cities and it can be quite the opposite. I think the primary reason for this is because the community is established with many Florida residents.The Palace Retreat is very nice and the premises was clean. It also has a south facing pool which means sun all day. We would stay here again. There were a couple of downsides: no pool towels, the seams for the cushions for the pool lounge chairs was undone so they couldn't be used because the stuffing would fall out as such they were just stacked on the pool deck (the chairs could still be used) and only one kitchen towel. Also we wondered how you gained access to the community clubhouse. There was no access code or key provided and no instructions on how to access it. All and all we love the area and it's easy drive to stores, restaurants and golf.We never had to contact FSVH for anything, but in the past they've been quite responsive.

Clean and well cared for property.

Property is as described and is a great place to stay. Pool is nice, all appliances work well, plenty of silverware and plates, and nice Roku TVs in every bedroom. We only have 3 minor suggestions. 1) upgrade the beds. They are not super comfortable. 2) add 1-2 more baking sheets. 3) consider adding an air fryer. Regardless of those minor things, we absolutely recommend this home and would stay again.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Home is in a great location with easy access to restaurants and shops. The house was in good shape, although we did notice a few things that needed to be addressed. Management was very responsive and helpful and all of the things we asked for were attended to promptly. Would stay at this home again.

We did need to call about the spa as it wasn’t very warm but they promptly came out and it was wonderful after that! The location was great for us and we look forward to booking it again next year. Our only complaint and it’s not the owners fault, but NO recycling available which is very very ridiculous! We will write the association and voice our complaint. Florida Spirit was beyond great responding to a couple of requests. The only thing lacking in kitchen was cutting knives and they promptly delivered a huge set of high quality knives! We did ask that they provide a quick cheat sheet on how to use cable as there was 4 remotes and it took us two days to figure it all out. 😎⛳️Thanks for everything!
