Close to a conservation area with walking and biking trails, 10 minute drive to the nearest town for groceries and supplies. Newly built composite deck with ample seating and hot tub. Kayaks, paddle boards and a row boat included. Enjoy skating on the frozen ice, outdoor fire pit, cross country skiing and ice fishing during the winter months! What a great stay we had! Very big cottage, plenty of space, very well equipped and extremely clean. Amazing vue of the lake.The host answered every question we had.Game room was a hit, the kids really took advantage of it. Some adults, too. Everybody enjoyed the massage chair. The hot tub, oh... that was really god. Highly recommended

We were a large party of 15. There was ample room that no one got in anyone’s way. Soooo much for everyone to be entertained. Can’t swim off the dock but the use of kayaks etc was amazing. Game room was a hit as was the hot tub. Massage chair was amazing. Property was large and beautiful. Private spot so we didn’t need to be afraid that we were too noisy. Plenty of essentials provided for cooking. Very responsive host.

Great place for our family reunion

I love the place. The family loved the place. It’s an amazing place that is only going to get better with the changes that are happening at the cottage. I would rent it again in a heartbeat.

Great stay!

The place was fantastic! Even nicer than the pictures. We had a great time and would definitely stay again. A hot tub/sauna is going in which took up some yard space, and wasn't ready yet, but I am sure it will be even nicer when finished.

A lovely thanksgiving!

With 9 adults and 4 kids under 4 it was going to be a tight squeeze, but this property has plenty of room, plenty to do, and plenty of storage for all that food! We had a wonderful time exploring the area close by (wonderful coffee shop, Recess, gorgeous lake walks, and lots of local goodies!), taking the kayaks out on the lake, playing arcade games, and definitely not fighting over the massage chair.

We all had such a great time. We definitely would come back again. Somethings need to be upkeep, but other than that the place was perfect for a weekend gathering. Kyla was very responsive with our queries. Thank you very much for sharing your place with us.

Amazing cottage with great facilities

We were a group of friends who stayed at the cottage for 3 nights 4 days and we wished we stayed longer. Great things about the cottage :- 1) Super spacious property with great furniture and upgraded washrooms 2) Big living room with tons of space to host 16 people….. tons of DVDs to enjoy with family 3) Fully loaded game room with Pool, ice hockey, basket ball hoops, Ping pong - the kids loved it! 4) Amazing hot tub and massage chair for everyone to relax 5) Great location - close to Kingston with tons of activities to do Overall a 5/5 experience!! Loved the place…. We plan to come here every year!!

Awesome property

Awesome property, lots of privacy(no close neighbors. Beautiful home, not a cottage, with lots of activities to do, we went during the winter time so can’t wait to try it out during the summer days, and enjoy the waterfront! Pictures are nice but I do agree that it’s even better in person! Maybe the only negative comment that I have is that, there’s missing a few items for the kitchen cooking(salt and pepper comes to mind) and that we couldn’t use the swim spa, but I should’ve asked first if it was open during winter use 👍🏻👍🏻. 👌👌

Beautiful Property

The property is as described, it worked really well for our family gathering. We had ages 3 to 50 and offered something for everyone. The property is well thought out and we were not on top of each other- lots and lots of space and situated in a very quiet location. The communication was great, we had a few glitches but the owner was very prompt. Definitely, something other families should consider next time looking to rent for a family/friend gathering. My rating for cleanliness was lower because of the cleaning service, not reflective on the property owner and the property management was prompt in their response- did not impact quality of stay.

The cottage was very nice spacious and certainly met the needs of our family of 10. The grounds however need some attention. We were vacationing with 4 young children and found the grounds very untidy areas of long grass, nothing trimmed around the play ground equipment and a heavy layer of old pine needles on the trampoline which we cleaned off so it could be used. The garbage from previous visitors had not been removed. We were told it would be dealt with ,however we eventually moved all the bins to the garage on the other side of the driveway so hopefully get rid of the terrible odor of it. It was never disposed of during our stay.The hot tub was not working when we arrived and after sending a couple emails we were able to get it working on the 3rd day. The dock was an extreme disappointment as it is in poor shape. Broken and missing boards. One area in particular is leaning and almost at the water level. Totally not safe for children. We feel we were very over charged for premium cottage experience and it just did not measure up.

We have already replaced the damaged boards, and we are continuing to monitor the condition of the dock to ensure safety for everyone. Your feedback helped us address this promptly. We also want to apologize for the state of the grounds during your stay. The excessive garbage left by previous guests was an unfortunate situation, and despite our best efforts to arrange an additional pickup, it was not handled in time. We appreciate your understanding and for moving the bins to the garage. We’ve notified the grounds keeper about the long grass, the trimming around the playground, and the pine needles on the trampoline, so this should be addressed going forward. Regarding the hot tub, we’re sorry for the inconvenience you experienced with the LCD screen. We’re glad that the issue was resolved quickly and that it didn’t affect your ability to enjoy the hot tub. Thank you again for your feedback and for being understanding of these situations. We always strive to provide a top-tier experience, and we will continue to improve based on the suggestions you’ve provided. Lovely house with lots of fun stuff

WE had a family vacation with 4 children 9-18 years and 6 adults. The place is as described, but one needs to read the description carefully - see next re water access. The access to the water is not easy as it is down a path through rocks and when you get to the water it is all green and slimy with a dock covered in goose poop. We did go kayaking, but swimming etc. is not an option. You can go to other beaches, but the lake had an E.coli outbreak so there was no swimming. An in-ground pool would have made the place super. We also had a tornado which deprived us of power for about 20 hours. Of course, that was not the problem of the owner, although a generator in the country would seem to be a logical idea. The place has many toys and games which would be super in the winter or during inclement weather. We did use most of them. The owner was very approachable and responded quickly to any issues. One suggestion would be more cutlery and sharper knives, although we did use the stone to try and sharpen one Bottom line - other than water access, it is a wonderful place for a family to stay.

Hi Neil, Thank you for your stay and your feedback! I feel you are mistaken about the e.coli warning, Big Rideau Lake is very vast and deep and I haven’t seen an reports of e.coli especially in our bay, it may have been Rideau River you are referring too. Swimming at the end of the dock is 7-8 feet deep and there’s vegetation close by, we always suggest paddling to the island nearby for deeper swimming. Quite a scare with a confirmed Tornado nearby which was a first for the area!

Exactly as Advertised

My family and I spent a week at this fabulous cottage. The layout was amazing, we were 12 people and always felt that we had space to ourselves. Our hosts were very fast to respond to our messages. The projector system in the living room was a lot of fun however we had no sound (only what little volume came out of the projector itself – not the huge, amazing sound system) for the majority of our trip. My husband tried to trouble shoot it, but that did not work. We reported the issue to the owners almost immediately however they only resolved the issue towards the end of our stay… The game room was so much fun as were the outdoor amenities, hot tub and jungle gym. One night (overnight) during our stay we got a lot of snow. The owners messaged me in the evening (before the snow fell) to give me heads up that someone would be there in the morning to clear the snow from the driveway, shovel and put salt down. Sure enough, the person was there as promised – We really appreciated this small gesture of notifying us, we didn’t have think about it or worry even before the snow started to fall!Advice to the owners, allow guests to have access to the additional fridge and freezer in the garage. With a rental unit that sleeps that many guests we really could have used the extra refrigerator space.Thank you for an amazing stay, we hope to return!

The Fun House

This was a wonderful property for our family reunion! There were 13 of us, but there was plenty of room for everyone and countless activities inside and out! The setting for the house- up on the hill overlooking the lake, was breathtaking! The fall colours added to the charm. Breakfast on the covered porch overlooking the lake, was absolutely incredible. The hot tub was wonderful and the massage chair was very popular. Overall, it was a great facility, perfect for a group and a very relaxing setting!
