This dog-friendly beachfront condo is located at Dune Lantern Condos in Nags Head. The owners have recently updated it with brand-new kitchen cabinets, living room furniture, flooring, washer/dryer, and fresh paint throughout. You can enjoy the spectacular views of the ocean, sandy beach, and nearby attractions from the private balcony on the fourth floor. The nearby attractions include Jeanette's Pier, Jockey's Ridge State Park, Wright Brother's National Memorial, and the North Carolina Aquarium. The condo features an elevator, and it is also pet-friendly. It has two living rooms, one with a QSS, a kitchen, a dining area, an oceanfront king master bedroom, a bedroom with two twins, a full hall bath, and a laundry closet. Pets allowed with fee ($150 per pet plus tax).

Right on the beach

This condo worked well for our family of 4. Loved being right on the beach and great location. The kitchen and bathrooms could use some updating, but otherwise was perfect.

Had great view from 4th floor and spent a lot of time out there- it was nicely furnished-very convenient to the beach- needs a little updating in kitchen and bathrooms- dryer did not work all week due an electronic issue, and elevator was out of service the last day which made packing up to leave difficult. The rental agent was wonderful and attentive and readily available- would definitely rent from the agent again All in all an enjoyable week!

A Week at Tranquility Shore

The condo was nice, although much smaller than it appeared in what must have been wide-angle photographs. The views were stunning, and the location was excellent. The condo is pretty but outdated, and it shows a bit of wear throughout. The bathrooms are tiny, badly lit, and the exhaust fans/heaters do not work properly. Tuesday and Wednesday was a fierce Nor'Easter, and the chimney moaned and rattled for more than 48 hours, making it almost impossible for us to have a conversation in the living room. Nevertheless, we had a great time!

Could have been a lot better ....

Was told grille was on property. Was not.We bring food to grille, that's why we asked. Had elevator, but it's 10 steps to it, so you still lug bags you shouldn't because you hid the real situation. Toilet eas for a midget. Toaster and microwave don't work. We never got the main TV to work at all. There were no instructions at all. If I wasn't with my wife and my brother, we would have left another day earlier.

Nice place

Good property on a good beach. Nice four-star place, but doesn’t quite make five stars. Nothing wrong with it, just not really exceptional. I was prepared to be angry, and to downgrade my rating based on how stingy they said they were going to be with basic things like toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, paper towels, etc. Turns out they had a few more things than they said they would. I still want to go on record as objecting to this policy, however. I understand it is customary in this part of the country (it’s not in other areas), but still it comes across as stingy and unwelcoming, and makes you wonder if they think their guests are toilet paper thieves or something. If it was my place, I would increase the rent just a little bit to cover the cost, and then stock it with all the things that no one wants to have to buy for a brief stay, and then leave most of it behind.

Amazing view but stay is marred by loud heating system

The ocean view and proximity to beach are wonderful. The heating system is really loud when it comes on making sleep in the bedroom with twin beds problematic. It even makes the tv hard to hear. The condo would benefit from a good vacuum to get rid of dust, sand and dog hair.

Nice property, great view!

We had no issues with this property. It had everything we needed and hoped for. The view can't be beat. I love sunrises at the beach, and they did not disappoint.

Exactly as advertised. Grate beech. Good view to watch dolphins and birds feeding in the morning. Very clean.

Great condo on the beach

We enjoyed our stay. This condo has everything we needed. The patio is huge and over looks the beach. Extremely quiet and great location near all of our favorite places. We didn’t have any issues but heard from the property manager a few times during our week to check in, which was nice. They also texted us to let us know we could get into the place sooner than we thought. I would definitely recommend and plan on visiting again soon!

The decor is bright, fresh, and clean. Appliances, dishes, furniture, linens all clean and in abundance for us. Very relaxing and peaceful.
