Couldn’t check in early because we were told pictures were being taken. Which is fine but when we entered it wasn’t vacuumed. Every step we took there was sand almost everywhere. The room with the twin beds there was no air circulation and two of the chairs on the balcony were broken, couldn’t sit outside.

The property was great, very quiet, high enough to always see the beach and close to the attractions I wanted to visit like the National Seashore, Manteo and Alligator River Preserve. We had a great time

Right on the beach

This condo worked well for our family of 4. Loved being right on the beach and great location. The kitchen and bathrooms could use some updating, but otherwise was perfect.

OBX Vaca

Had great view from 4th floor and spent a lot of time out there- it was nicely furnished-very convenient to the beach- needs a little updating in kitchen and bathrooms- dryer did not work all week due an electronic issue, and elevator was out of service the last day which made packing up to leave difficult. The rental agent was wonderful and attentive and readily available- would definitely rent from the agent again All in all an enjoyable week!

Great view

Loved the view. The condo could use to be updated. It did not seem like it had been updated in quite some time. We did have issues with some of the power connectors.

A Week at Tranquility Shore

The condo was nice, although much smaller than it appeared in what must have been wide-angle photographs. The views were stunning, and the location was excellent. The condo is pretty but outdated, and it shows a bit of wear throughout. The bathrooms are tiny, badly lit, and the exhaust fans/heaters do not work properly. Tuesday and Wednesday was a fierce Nor'Easter, and the chimney moaned and rattled for more than 48 hours, making it almost impossible for us to have a conversation in the living room. Nevertheless, we had a great time!

Hi Sam, Thank you for your review and staying with us. Very good to know about the noisy fireplace we will pass that along to the owner! They did purchase the condo at the beginning of 2022 and were able to do a few updates (living room furniture/new flooring/washer/dryer/comforters) and to our knowledge they intend on doing updates yearly. So glad you did have a great time- personally I love the views from the top floor private deck, the comfy King Bed with oceanfront views and the two mini living rooms! We hope to have you back sometime! -Lesley @ First Flight Rentals

Could have been a lot better ....

Was told grille was on property. Was not.We bring food to grille, that's why we asked. Had elevator, but it's 10 steps to it, so you still lug bags you shouldn't because you hid the real situation. Toilet eas for a midget. Toaster and microwave don't work. We never got the main TV to work at all. There were no instructions at all. If I wasn't with my wife and my brother, we would have left another day earlier.

Hi Kathleen- Thank you for your review and bringing this to our attention. I reviewed the VRBO listing and cannot find a grill was advertised, if someone told you that we apologize for the miss-information. There is a handicap access ramp that leads to the elevator as well as two stair wells. Maintenance tested toaster and microwave and they appear to be working fine. Toilets are standard size. TV and internet information was sent prior to arrival, by text and e-mail and our maintenance tech verified that is also working. We apologize that these items disrupted your stay and hope you at least enjoyed the amazing views and oceanfront sunrises! -First Flight Rentals

Nice place

Good property on a good beach. Nice four-star place, but doesn’t quite make five stars. Nothing wrong with it, just not really exceptional. I was prepared to be angry, and to downgrade my rating based on how stingy they said they were going to be with basic things like toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, paper towels, etc. Turns out they had a few more things than they said they would. I still want to go on record as objecting to this policy, however. I understand it is customary in this part of the country (it’s not in other areas), but still it comes across as stingy and unwelcoming, and makes you wonder if they think their guests are toilet paper thieves or something. If it was my place, I would increase the rent just a little bit to cover the cost, and then stock it with all the things that no one wants to have to buy for a brief stay, and then leave most of it behind.

Amazing view but stay is marred by loud heating system

The ocean view and proximity to beach are wonderful. The heating system is really loud when it comes on making sleep in the bedroom with twin beds problematic. It even makes the tv hard to hear. The condo would benefit from a good vacuum to get rid of dust, sand and dog hair.

Great condo on the beach

We enjoyed our stay. This condo has everything we needed. The patio is huge and over looks the beach. Extremely quiet and great location near all of our favorite places. We didn’t have any issues but heard from the property manager a few times during our week to check in, which was nice. They also texted us to let us know we could get into the place sooner than we thought. I would definitely recommend and plan on visiting again soon!
