Mar y Playa Vista Townhouse en Mandalay Beach en Oxnard, Ca

Situado en las arenas doradas de Mandalay Shores, una comunidad tranquila playa. Disfrute de café de la mañana, viendo a los delfines retozando, con vistas al Pacífico desde las dos cubiertas. Esta unidad de tres pisos cuenta con impresionantes vistas al mar a pocos pasos de la arena. Hay un parque de la playa directamente en frente de la propiedad. Sólo tiene que llamar para hablar con sus hijos.


La sala de estar, comedor, cocina y dos dormitorios, todos miran hacia el mar. Las dos habitaciones superiores y salón tienen puertas corredizas que se abren a una terraza espaciosa, invitando en la brisa del mar. La cocina es una delicia y ha sido recientemente remodelado. El baño principal tiene una bañera con patas. El segundo baño tiene una nueva prima diseñada ducha completa. El segundo dormitorio con literas y una cama nido debajo, que dará cabida a tres. También hay una ducha al aire libre para los minimercados, al regresar de la playa.


Cocina recién remodelada con electrodomésticos de acero inoxidable, estufa comercial, nuevo lavavajillas y nevera grande de tamaño y congelador

Es el hogar de nueve puertos deportivos, tiendas únicas y excelentes restaurantes frente al mar. Puedes subir en un barco para una excursión de pesca, avistamiento de ballenas o un viaje a las islas del canal. O, en coche hasta la costa de Santa Bárbara para el entretenimiento de clase mundial, restaurantes y bodegas.

También se incluyen un montón de artículos de playa como sillas de playa, tumbonas portátiles, sombrillas y juguetes para la arena para su diversión.

Family beach trip

Loved our stay. Great home with plenty of room right next to the beach. The patios have a nice view if you just want to relax at home. Outdoor shower is good for cleaning up after a day at the beach Would definitely stay there again

Ocean Stay

The location is great -Minutes to the beach and great view. The living area needs updating and bed in kids rooms squeaks so much it’s hard to sleep. Lots of extras for guests to use- thanks.

Beach escape

We truly enjoyed our stay! Thank you, Gary for your quick (in fact, within a minute) responses to my questions. The house was clean and welcoming. The view from the house was amazing! Being so close (in facf, just a few steps away) to the beach was a major plus!! The sight and sound of the waves fr om the balcony and the gorgeous sunset... .made it all a perfect beach weekend!

Great beach stay

Can’t beat the proximity to the ocean and the fun activities for kids in the sand. The picture of the downstairs area was a bit misleading. It was a garage not a sleeping area. Left us in a little bit of a bind, but can’t complain because the House was so close to the beach and the price was fair in comparison to homes in the area and condition of the house. Host was available and very nice.

Nice mini-vacation!

Our stay on Mandalay Beach was tranquil and relaxing. After a small drawback when we arrived our mini-vacation was perfect. We arrived and to our surprise the maid had not showed up to clean the place. Mr. Rosen quickly took care of it that night and refunded us for the inconvenience. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Amazing!!!

Our family of 5 rented this great home for spring break. It was everything we hoped it would be. The house it self is clean and very well maintained! The location was incredible! We enjoyed our morning coffee on the balcony facing the ocean while we could see the kids playing at beach! Very safe area, extremely low key and quiet! If you have small children it's great because there is hardly any traffic, so walking back and form from the beach to the house is very safe. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to make a great meal. All the appliances are new and in working order! It home away from home!! Gary is also an amazing person. He really goes out of his way to make sure your stay is perfect! Any time I had a question he go back to me right away!! Overal this was a great experience and I would give it 10 stars if I could! Thank you Gary! We will back for sure!

Lovely location, but needs some attention around comfort and cleanliness

First off, the location is just great, steps away from the beach. The house has convenient ingress/egress to the beach and has amenities for those who want to use - chairs, etc. The reason for 3 star vs 5 star is: 1) Cleanliness: The house was not sufficiently clean at check-in. The bathroom and kitchen needed attention, we had to do it ourselves. Dishes were dirty and the bathroom (toilet & tub) were not sufficiently clean. Two of the three sofas were very dusty and led to most of the folks coughing continuously when used.. 2) Comfort: There weren't sufficient comforters for the 2 bedrooms or the rollaway bed in the living room. Dish soap was missing, we had to purchase oursleves. The handsoap in both bathrooms was very watery and did not help with lathering, so we had go buy our own. The fixes for above are quick & easy, with that the property is great to stay in. I would recommend if those are fixed.

Relaxing Family Vacation

Just amazing! The owner really wants you to enjoy their home. So much detail with the check in process, the home had everything you needed and more! From more than enough towels to stocked kitchen! Fire extinguishers, shampoo in every bathroom, beach toys and a view that is amazing.

Good stay

The place was fine, a little more worn than it looked in the pictures. There weren’t very many cleaning supplies, some cleaning spray and a swiffer would have been nice. We also weren’t able to find a cutting board. Things were pretty clean, the beach was great.

Amazing location! Steps from the sand...

We had a really fun & relaxing stay here. Worked well for our family of 5. While the place could use some cosmetic touch ups, we were comfortable and happy to be SO close to the beach. Nice/comfortable beds and linens, which of course is really important!

Good location, but a bit run down

The location is great. It’s a short walk from the beach, with beautiful views from the two balconies. However, when I wiped down the house prior to the stay due to Covid concerns, it was dirtier than I had expected. In all honesty we were afraid to sit on the couch without laying a towel down, and even those were a bit dirty. This house is great for a stay with a large family, as long as you weren’t all on the WiFi and didn’t use more than 2 outlets. The power went out for a whole night and when I contacted the host, there was no reply until the morning—although it was 10PM. The bunk beds should also not be occupied by adults because it is quite unstable and doesn’t seem able to hold much weight. If you do plan on staying here, bring your own spices and maybe even dishes. Yes there are dishes provided, but I wouldn’t trust them without washing them first, as there were visible food particles on them. I would recommend this house if you don’t mind it being a little run down because it does hold a lot of people and the price is fairly lower than surrounding stays. If you are looking for a more relaxing stay, I likely wouldn’t recommend. The host seemed very nice, the house was just not what we had expected based on the description on the site.

Great location, quiet too

House is located right by the beach with 2 parking spaces. My gf and I enjoyed the quiet as there are no parties allowed on this block. Furniture could be a little cleaner (as noted by another reviewer) but otherwise the location is perfect for beach goers.

Great Beach Getaway

Amazing place to stay! Right on the beach and very well-kept neighborhood. Great walking paths to beach and park. Gary was very helpful and spot on with communication, even allowing us an early checkout. Our group of 10 fit very comfortably in this house. The only negatives were very minor: a missing coffee carafe and some non-working outlets and bulbs. Otherwise, well worth the price for beach living compared to other places that charge so much more!

Beach house

It was very close to the beach. The bedrooms were fine. Kitchen and plenty of t.v. areas. Parking and easy commute to areas. We did not find wash cloths, working fire alarms, with the storm there was some rain that came through the ceiling-and quite an ant problem! Nothing that affected our vacation but little surprises.

Glamping

Pros: Steps from sand (second house from sand) Two balconies with ocean views 6 beds and a pull-out couch, plus couches to sleep on and enough floor space for two blow-up mattresses Kitchen with pots/pans/dishes/silverware/coffee maker/oven/microwave/dishwasher/large fridge. Check in with key in lock box Some beach gear(umbrella, couple of chairs, surf board, vest) Plenty of blankets and towels and washer/dryer. Some modern updates such as wooden floors, tiled bathrooms (one shower bathroom and one tub-only bathroom), kitchen looks like it was remodeled. Some parking at the house, plenty of street parking along the beach. About 3 Fans available to plug in. Very helpful. Cons: 3-4 outlets work to plug in devices. Bring extension cords. Be careful about plugging in too much and tripping the circuit breaker. All other outlets broken. Some light bulbs need to be replaced. Cleaning crew isn’t doing an adequate job cleaning property. Maybe they only wash and dry sheets and towels and sweep floors/wipe down toilets and faucets? Floors need a scrub, walls could use a wash, and the general overall structure could use some finishing touches like baseboards in some areas. If you are looking to stay at the beach, this is convenient and pretty simple. Other than the cosmetic issues and the lack of working outlets, this place was exactly what we were looking for.

Great location

This is a great location just one house from the sand. Nice views from the two balconies. The only complaint is that the furniture is white and quite dirty. I think either a good cleaning or slip covers? Also the refrigerator is not really in the kitchen but more in the living room, it is quite odd. The living area/kitchen is a bit on the small side, but again the location and views are the best part!!

Misrepresentation and a Safety Hazard

It looked nice from the outside and was a stone’s throw from the beach. Doors locked from the inside and out by a key. If there was a fire you could not exit without a key. There were two sliding glass doors, one each on 2nd and 3rd floors. a fire could block those exits. Only 2 smoke detectors in the house, one on 2nd floor and the other was on the ceiling between 1st and 2nd floors. The second day there was no hot water. We contacted the owner and he was apologetic and sent someone right out. Luckily my friends had no plans for the evening. The maintenance guy came to the condo and tried knocking on the door since the doorbell does not work. He didn’t get an answer, so he just walked into the house. Totally NOT cool! He went upstairs where the tankless water heater was and said it was unplugged. Why was this not checked by the owner before we arrived? It got fixed after taking a cold shower. Floors and cabinets were filthy. Our feet were black after we walked on the floor for any length of time. Curtains were torn and stained. Dirt and sand underneath the beds. Towels were stained. No towel racks, no screens (except one bathroom ) on the windows or doors. Half of the electrical outlets didn’t work, uncovered outlet (exposed) and surge protectors overloaded and strung across the house. Garbage cans out front were smelling (seemed not to be emptied for awhile.) sink cracked, sink handle broken, tile behind bathtub grout not finished and floorboards missing. Living room furniture was stained and filthy. Had not been clean in quite some time. We rewashed the towels but found most of them to be stained towels. Outside shower on the side of the house is broken and leaking. Over the washer is a huge hole leading into the frame of the house where anything, mold, dust, critters, etc. can get in. I kept sporadically smelling a sour stench. It smelled like it was coming from the bed. I decided to lift up the sheet and mattress protector. The end of bed looked like a CSI crime scene. It’s a health hazard. I can’t (and don’t want to) know what bacteria, fungus or viruses live in that mattress. The list goes on and on. We were looking to have a nice relaxing vacation. This condo rental was misrepresented on Home Away. Obviously the pictures were taken from several years ago and this has since become a renovation project that has never been completed. It’s TOTAL DISGRACE!!! Don’t waste your money.
